How does your game fit the theme?
Noah's story in the Bible tells about the end of the corrupted world caused by the flood and the beginning of a brand new one. Noah is of pure heart and gathers the animals to let them survive.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, this is a fully solo project, my friend only did the music, but also from scratch. It was a great learning experience for me, especially that I’m not that good with making graphics.

Really nice game! The graphics are nice and gameplay was fun. It took me a while to figure out what to do though.
A little confusing at first to figure out what to do. Also some of the text was hard to read (white text on a light background). Really cool music and was fun to play once I got the hang of it.
Stage 1 gameplay was enjoyable, but I suggest increasing the field of view as finding ingredients was time-consuming. Stage 2 was confusing as animals fell out and the ark didn't move without obstacles. The shark's speed could also be reduced for better gameplay experience.
Music is a banger. The concept is good but lacking some tutorial. I was confuse at first but manage to figure out after reading the website description. As a player I felt kind of a little lost on what I'm trying to achieve here. That might be something to work about if you are going to expand this.
I like the gameplay for stage 1. One suggestion: the field of view could be bigger as I find that I wasted a lot of time wandering around searching for ingredients.
I'm not quite sure what's happening on stage 2 tho, animals were falling out and the ark wouldn't move, and there were no obstacles? The shark speed could be lower.
Thank you! Someone has mentioned that something like a minimap for stage 1 would be nice, but I haven’t thought of that. As for stage 2, I explained in the description that the WebGL build broke the keyboard inputs, so it doesn’t work.
This entry’s bursting with creativity, there’s a lot going on! Very impressive depth for a small team in a small time.
First of all it is hilarious that Noah’s sons follow him around everywhere in Stage 1 in a line, I dunno why but that cracked me up, imagine childhood actually being that way!
There is a lot to figure out about how to capture animals. There’s a crafting system and each animal requires crafting a different contrivance to capture it. Since you’re on a timer, this means your first time out you probably won’t get all the animals.
I appreciate that the game lets you “win” no matter what - even with a score of 0 - but I’d have liked to be able to repeat Stage 1 after doing badly, so as to get a little practice in.
It is very simple fun to just get a bull mad at you and then laugh as you are yote 3 screens away. I suspect the pushback is to compensate for the fact that the animals are not genuinely dangerous; I don’t know if it works as intended but I do know I had a great time, please never fix this!
Stage 2 was a good idea, but I enjoyed Stage 1 more, and not just because the music was a bop. In Stage 2, I could not fish, so I was losing animals? at the maximum rate - but I didn’t have any animals, so I figured maybe we were cannibalizing the sons from earlier. Even this motivatingly macabre consequence of failure did not inspire in me the genius of how to fish.
Ultimately the fun of this one is in seeing how fast you can craft enough stuff to nab the animals in Stage 1. I think easy big improvements would be the ability to turn the music off and the option to replay a stage you’ve just completed.
Great work; thanks for the game!
Wow thank you for so much feedback! I’m glad you enjoyed it. I see a lot of people complaining about the intuitivity of the crafting system, but it’s just because I didn’t have time for making anything more advanced. Animals pushing you away is indeed intended. As for the stage 2, it’s because the WebGL build does not register keyboard inputs, because the corresponding float values are too low (I figured it out few hours after the deadline). So your ship just stands still all the time and you can’t explore the sea or find fish.
Interesting game, the crafting and different hands for different things was a little confusing, it felt like a lot to keep track of really early on.
Usually I'm not a fan of blocky models (basically low poly models) but the gameplay was surprisingly good, well done on that. Also loved the concept of Noah's story fitting the theme of the Jam.
Graphics and sounds are good, but I think I was victim or several bugs :( I could catch animals, and somehow survivre through the waters (couldn't fish, no bubbles appear), but then I was unable to move at the third level. I restarted the game, and waited for it to pass until level 3, and still unable to move. But I think it's sad there is no win condition, like you can pass level even without saving any animal :/
I think you over scoped, which is classic. The concept fits the theme obviously, I would be glad to play it again once you can debug it!
The third level is just an ending screen and there are your total points displayed 💀 So yes, you can „win” without any animals, but you have 0 points. Maybe you didn’t see it because of my bad UI scaling. Thanks for the feedback :)
I saw points, but I thought there was a scoring to do ^^ My bad
Cool game, the graphics are really cool to see that this is not your specialty. The gameplay is nice but I find the indications of what you have in your hand a little too small and maybe it would be better with pictures instead of words.
Thank you very much :) I was about to change them to little pictures I’d draw in MS Paint, but a lot of more important things were unfinished by then and I just didn’t get the time to go back to it.
I think you can be super proud of yourself!
That's a great achievement and really something that not everyone can do.
I had no problems with the control and think the game is very good! :D
This is so cool! I think it needs a little polish because the crafting system wasn't intuitive, it would be awesome if some of the instructions were included in the game so that I don't need to reference the game description as I play, and the steering wasn't working for me, but overall super cool concept! Also very impressive that you made all the 3D assets, that isn't easy in the scope of a week and I think you did a really great job!
Sweet game, the soundtrack totally slaps! It could be nice to have some kind of crafting menu to combine. nice work!
Thank you! I came up with this crafting system, because I knew that I wouldn’t have enough time for making a whole UI.
Does not let me move for some reason /;
Do you mean the second part or the first? The one with catching animals should be working fine, maybe try different browser?
The second part. Nethertheles I really the game. Can you please tell me what you used to create that soundtracks? They were really good :)
Glad you liked it :) I asked my friend to do the music, he used Ableton Live with plugins from Native Instruments
nice game the idea is great the game is still has a lot of glitches bit very good gob for a prototype
Cute world but hard to understand how to interact with and catch some animals (like the boar for example).
Good job !
Nice game! Very cute and funny style. I like that there are quite a few mechanics which work very well together. Unfortunately, it was buggy for me for the ship level as well, but I'll download a PC version after the jam if you'll upload one! Great job overall, really liked it.
Wow thank you! If you'd really like I have a fixed version on my account which is still not as good as intended but playable.
I've survived 150< Days living off Two Carrots only
The Most Realistic Survival Experience, Solid 6/10
Umm, whatever that means?
The joke here is that during the entire gameplay I've only picked up two carrots and somehow beaten the game, implying that Noah had survived the flooding (which took approx. 150 days) feeding on just those two carrots I brought with myself earlier
Ohh okayy :D The idea behind hunger is that you lose an animal when it runs out. And I mean Noah is like 900 years old he probably doesn't have much apetite either.
I also haven't brought any animals and somehow for some reason I had like 2 and a half of a cow for some reason
Great job on this being your first game jam game. Really a lot of interesting mechanics. I like the catching of animals and dual wielding set up. Great work! Keep it up!
Nice game, especially for your first game jam!
