Very cool. This brought back so many memories. Loved it. :)

Fun game! The mechanics were good.. The autorun option was a nice addition, the controls felt great, only exception is turning directions mid-air felt pretty slow. The level design was great, challenging but keeps the player going with checkpoints, and not that many levels so that it feels fresh and quick. The main menu was also very well-made. There were clear instructions for the controls right at the beginning of the game... There was a good interactive tutorial, the credits and level select were also there as you are playing the game... The gameplay itself was also fun, and overall a great game. I like the topdown pixel artstyle and the cute fall sprite of the player. The music was nice and the sound effects were a good touch to the game as well. I also like the interpretation on the theme, very creative. Well done!

So much fun! This is easily my favorite game of the jam I've tried so far.  I try to always give some critique, so if I'm being nitpicky, there were a few times where it felt like I should have jumped, but I didn't, and the very fast movement speed was a bit tricky to get used to.  Overall, though I think your concept is fun and well-executed.

Super cool idea for a game. There are many great games in this jam, but I must say with this one I had the best fun (I think...). Catchy music, simple but well executed design and mechanics + nostalgic aspect of childhood games. Well done :)

Really fun game. I like the idea that when you fall down, you have to run back and you're back in reality.

Hey, you hosted the first game jam we ever did!

Yup, this is a banger alright. I can't think of many top down platformers but that works better than I figured it would. I think the standout to me here is the theme usage, it's a clever fit with an old idea. Pillows as checkpoints is great too, allows the player to pick how much they wanna redo as an extra challenge layer. Cool stuff.

Awesome game! A cool way to take on the theme! Jumping around was quite fun and the game felt really polished, in terms of both graphics and audio. Though I found the collisions to be a little weird. If you look at the image below, I'm still standing on the platform when I technically should be falling into the "lava".

At times, however, this did end up saving me 😂 so I don't know if this was intended. Despite that, you did a fantastic work!

Instantly got some hotline miami vibes with the design and movement :D I love the extended collisions which make some hard looking jumps alot easier! Are those intentionally ? xD

At first the game was pretty hard for me but after the second level I was in a perfect flow and finished everything else without failing :D

Btw the parallaxing lava is just funny xD nice use of that effect.

Simple game, but it was very well executed! The controls were very smooth and it felt very nice to play, especially with all the little touches like the slam when you fall. I also loved the music, it was great for slipping into a zone. This game would be great for speed running, I was already doing a little bit of it just playing through it. This might be the most fun I've had this jam. Great work!
