How does you game fit the theme?
It has some stuff that are not real. And the whole thing isn't real.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I got some code from brackeys tutorials and unity forums. But most of the code was written from scratch. All the assets were made from scratch except for the audio where I got them from Kenney.nl or freesound.org.

Really fun and quirky game! I liked the sense of humour, the simple aesthetic was cute and the whole experience felt very polished. Cool submission!

I like this. Very polished and I had fun!

This game sends me very good vibes, congratulations for the result! You can rate and check my game too!

This has probably been my favorite game I've played all jam!

It's really well polished and simple in the best possible way. The humor is great and extremely witty. The art style, audio and game play were all great.  I smiled the entire time I played the game.

Of all the games I've download, this one will be staying on the ol' hard drive.  Thanks for sharing!

Definitely not what I was expecting with this one, but an interesting experience and a nice bit of charm to it as well, especially with some of the easter eggs. And the reactions from some shapes.  Ah yes, the one who's roof was underground.  Definitely not one I'll forget, circle hobbit.

Plus I really was not expecting a boss fight to end it off it was a interesting end, and a relatively difficult boss fight though.  I do think that was partially down to RNG which is always a little iffy in combat to have it based on.  But it's interesting for sure.

The audio was also quite nice cause it did relatively fit the mood which is always cool to see,m there doesn't tend to be much that audio use throughout jam games so it's cool when one does that.

Overall a relatively interesting a pretty charming platformer game that definitely fit the theme at the end, not so much in gameplay, but otherwise yes.

Pretty fun game, I liked that you even added a boss fight at the end!

Liked the dialogue being sprinkled in. Found it a bit funny. And the sound of the dialogue for some reason is just soo satisfying to me. You really keep the "It is not real" theme going in the game. The subtle help texts like "Press R when you are stuck" or the space button on the dialogue box really helped. Also the boss fight was great.

However I found a bug: after running into spikes, the player stayed white for a while. I think until the next transition.

and another dream of course, But very well made enjoyed the boss fight too, i was like in one corner and in fear that those little bombs dont hit me, lol

Developer (1 edit)

i knew the dream part was gonna be cliche haha! I just wanted the game to be a little more not real xD

Well done! First of all, nice simple grafics, i directly recognized PIKUNIKU here. Really polished as well, with that nice boss-fight, the transitions, the characters and the 2d lights/ shadows. In addition, fitting music!

Cute and colorful game ! I love the level progression and the boss (especially the music), even if it's hard with the bounces. Keep developping games !

I loved it, but it looks like you first finished the boss fight level and then added some levels :) because the boss fight is so much better than other levels. I liked that you had a little story too.

I rated it, maybe you can play my game too :)

I worked on the other levels first xP

Thank you for the game!

This game was so charming! I could definitely see the Pikuniku and Untitled Goose Game inspiration! The square character makes the movement feel clunky in the best way possible! I loved how silly it looked rolling around the level! Also, the fact that you were able to implement an entire story and boss fight was super impressive! I loved the little subversions to you made to established game mechanics throughout the game! It was a really fun experience! Awesome work!

This is really nice, impressed that you managed to fit in a full story and a boss fight in such a short amount of time, it feels really polished and the controls are finicky just enough to be fun

The art is really good aswell, simple yet funny, but it does have jagged edges, which can be fixed using antialiasing, check out Pikuniku which is a really similar game, it looks a lot better with a bit of smoothing

Developer

The game was highly inspired by PikuNiku :)

In the highest setting of the game, there shouldn't be any jagged lines idk. Antialiasing and V-sync is at its highest.

Anyways, thanks!
