"Dude, Where's My Pills" has great concept and it's own mechanism which is related to player's pill. But I think the dark stage is very annoying. I couldn't see anything and keep dying there and I felt it was not fare. Anyway it's a good game though.

I did tried, but it was getting so difficult. I wanted to clear the game beefore giving my comments, but i only get to level 47, jeje

Actually i am impressed with the ammount of level design that you guys put into this. It is impresive. The level of dificulty is on point and i loved the visual effects. Great job on the warning when starting the game jeje

Great game!

Wow, what an awesome game with a whole lot of content! The game concept was certainly unique, and I think the hallucinations mixed with the extremely hard platforming was an awesome combination! The only things that I think could use a little tweaking is the physics; the jumping feels a little too finicky, and the hit detection seemed too sensitive. Still, I applaud just how much content you were able to fit into such a short jam. Congratulations!

Happy to be the 20th to rate your game! :)

I enjoyed playing this, a simple platformer, but the different types of clocks and their combinations introduced more than enough variability, it must've taken a lot of time to create and balance all these levels. There were some parts which I found very difficult (like navigating the void while falling), but then again, I don't usually play platformers. I especially liked the red one, which turned off your vision.

The only thing that annoyed me is that the main character was very tall and that made it very easy to hit either your head in the void or your feet in the enemy. Whatever platformers I tried before, they all tended to have a more square-shaped player collider.

Great one! the concept is amazing, graphics are lovely and the music is nice too! One small issue though is that the window is borderless and locked to the top left corner which didnt allow me to see a bit but it wasnt that bad. Keep it up!

Developer

Thanks, you could have enabled fullscreen in the settings though

Didnt notice that, my bad

This is a spectacular piece of work!

It reminds me of a far more forgiving homage to "I Wanna Be the Guy" and  other challenging classic platformers that have come to past. The aesthetics, controls, and mechanics are all fairly simple but very well made and the game is something I would recommend to try for those who are up for a fun challenge.

The very few gripes off the top of my had I have are:
*Certain Visual Effects (even to those who do not have certain impairments) can be very debilitating and prevent people from enjoying the game.

*The Music (although I'm a sucker for chiptune) can get very tiresome and monotonous as well as it overpowering certain sound effects.

*I think there needs to be a "Second Jump Button" or the ability to change controls. Precision jumps that require nano-seconds and certain Space-Bars, tend not to mix very well.

Overall, you guys did a fantastic job and the Level Design is quite fun and satisfying, although, some of the more challenging ones would highly benefit from a little polish and rearrangement so that players can get adjusted to the mechanics outside of trial and error by death.

Developer

Thank you for the detailed feedback! We did add an option to disable the visual effects if they get too annoying.

Maybe I'll add rebindable controls and some tweaks to the levels in a post-jam update.

I really like the art style and hallucination effects! This game is really hard but in a good way that is satisfying to complete. great job!

Liked the game, but couldn't get though the whole thing due to nausia. I thought the overall idea is nice, but the blinding pill levels felt very punishing. Nonetheless, cool game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks, you can actually disable the visual effects of the insanity if that helps.

Submitted(+2)

I really enjoyed it! I have one criticism though, the blinding pills feel quite unfair in my opinion, you can't tell at all what's happening when the screen turns black (you have no idea if you're still walking or falling  straight down to your doom). I think adding a quiet footsteps sound effect could really give the player more feedback, which will keep the game challenging without it feeling unfair.

Regardless, this is probably one of my fav games this jam, great job!

Thank you very much, I am happy to hear you liked it!

Thanks for the feedback, that is actually a good idea, maybe I'll change that after the voting period is over.

The game was fun to play! Good music and visuals! Very polished! The detail with the changing Ukrainian flag was cool.  It was a bit too hard for me but I'm not the best platformer in the world. I often felt like I didn't have control over timing my landings which made the levels where timing was important frustrating maybe adding some more air friction when the player isn't holding A/D or fall speed increase faster once the player releases SPACE. Over all I'm super impressed!

Submitted(+2)

Outstanding! I couldn't beat level 48 though. The timing was too tight for me. I skipped it and beat the other levels though. I appreciated the unlock all levels button, as well as saving how many levels were beaten! I also liked how you could jump over the pills at the end; it just kind of funny how you can decide not to take them after all the trouble you went through to get them!

This is a very polished game for a game jam, really impressive. Art looks great and there's a lot of playtime. You guys did an amazing job!

Developer

Thank you for your kind words! We tried our best to improve and polish the game as far as we could throughout the week, it is so cool to see that that is being acknowledged and appreciated by you!

Impressive work, it's so cool that all the sound effects in this game are made with your mouth, I wish I had that talent.

Developer

Thank you very much, though I don't think that is really a talent. I just sat here making different noises into my microphone and put them in the game. Originally these were only intended as placeholders, but we found them charming so we left them in :D

Very good!
