Nice game! Did you use some physics engine for the bridges? I’d say the game needs some balancing since an awful lot of levels can be beat by something like the bridge on the screenshot below.

Developer(+1)

I used Unity's 2D Physics Engine. Most bridge-building games(like Poly Bridge) suffer from this, it's called a dangling road.

Thanks for pointing it out, now that I'm aware of it, I'll try and fix it to the best of my ability in the near future & Thanks for playing!

I wasn't sure about this game at first but once I figured out how the supports worked I found it quite fun. I managed to get through at least the first 5 levels without using any supports and I think the game is too easy as most levels didn't really require much thought.

Great game! I really like it!

Awesome, who doesn't love a good bridge building game. I probably spent the most time playing this out off all the games in the jam. It feels pretty well polished and there are a really good amount of levels. Great game!

That's a cool game! I don't know much about mechanics but maybe i learned  a thing or two by playing.  I loved the chill country music.. made the experience even better. Nice work Aditya n Sah! Cheers :)

Hey,

I had a lot of fun with your game. It was challenging to get the best contruction.  The Music was also very good. Nice game! :)

Developer

Hey! Thanks for the feedback, glad you had fun playing it.

Submitted(+1)

Lot of fun with this. I really really enjoyed the music, kinda fit the game perfectly. Good luck!

Aha, a bridge builder, who can say no to this.  The game is well made, I mean it is finished in 7 days, and it do fits the theme, good job.

Developer

Thank you for your kind words. I'm glad to hear that.

This game is a lot of fun. Really nice gameplay, simple arts, theme is quite strong, audio is very relaxing, and I really like messing around with the bridge haha. Nice work!

Developer

Good to hear had fun. Thanks for trying out my little game!

I loved the game. Good idea

Fun game, interesting puzzles, aesthetic grafics. Well done!!

And I thought I was the only one who would build a bridge constructor!

This game is awesome, I really like the interpretation of the theme (obviously), and it's also pretty fun to play. However I am most impressed by the implementation. The editor is very well done and the physics work well! The only problem I had was that most bridges could be built with just road pieces, so the car could be a bit heavier.

Developer(+1)

I noticed that and tried making the car heavier but it caused problems in levels where it had to traverse height.

Didn't have much time left so I had to settle with this. I might try fixing this in a post-jam version. Anyways, thanks for playing and the feedback man!

Submitted

Great idea, very creative! I had fun playing your game and building my first bridges ever :D It felt very rewarding when the little car made it to the other side. I like the clean visuals as well and the music fits perfectly too :) Very well done!

Cute game, Loved the music, Didn't like how you couldn't let go of the pieces, or that you had to continue a single line. Other than that, loved it! hope you check mine out!

Developer

Did you try right clicking? If not please give it another go!

Submitted

Ah i didn't... didn't see it in the game desc though...

Developer

It'd be great if you tried playing it again.

Submitted

I'll try it again!

Hi creator i really like your game the music is sooo relaxing and the theme of the game how you connect the roads really is unique e and your the first person that i've seen do this. well done i hope you blow up. if you wanted to could you play my game https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-5/rate/928294 give it a rating and just generally tell me what you think

Developer

Thank you for playing.

Submitted(+1)

This was fun to play, though I think the roads are a bit too strong since I managed to beat most of the levels by effectively making a single, bowl-shaped road from the beginning to the end

Developer

Yeah, I noticed that too but making it weak will have a negative impact on future levels. Also, changing material properties with levels seems unfair to me.

Anyways, I appreciate you playing my game, thank you for the feedback man.

Submitted(+1)

After all that hard work, that last level was really satisfying.

Developer

Yeah, it's pretty challenging. Took me 3 tries while I was recording the walk-through.

Was your solution similar to my intended solution? Or did you come up with something entirely different, I'd love to know!

Submitted

I came up with something completely different! What I love about these types of games is how there's multiple ways to reach the same goal!
