In what way does your game fit the theme?
The waiters need to be stronger "to get HER" and the ingredients are also just stronger together than being separate.
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, everything (code, assets, music, ...) was made by us, excluding the font.

The game is good, I love the cute art and the gameplay is smooth, though I do think it is a bit hard, well done!
Graphically the game was strong and cohesive all the way thru. The story was fun but kind of silly. The main gameplay mechanics which sounded fun was kind of buggy. You were easily spotted out of range of the vision cones and even thru objects. This started off fun and silly but ended up frustrating and felt unfair for the player. I eventually just started running in and trying to out pace the guards.
This had a lot of potential to be a very fun game.
I streamed it here:
It was really hard but actaully quite fun, pretty god for one week of work!
The art is the star here, especially if you did it all during the week. The gameplay is good, but I was definitely getting spotted by guards while far away from the cone. Just made it a little frusterating. Somehow still couldn't stop playing till I finished though.
Haha very clever idea it's like Metal Gear Solid x Chopped. As others have mentioned it can be a bit difficult, but the idea is unique so overall good job!
Very nice game but a bit hard for me :D
This was a cool game! I enjoyed playing it, even though quite tricky! Find below the review vid
28:30 To get Her
This was great, stealth is one of my favourite game genres!
2 things: Unless it's intentional, I found it hard to know which ingredients I should get, for me the ingredients were part of the background, I completely moved past the patty the first time I entered the room! And again, unless this was intetional, I think a white outline around the ingredients could help.
I also didn't like how a waiter's viewcone could make a 180 just like that, in one frame, when turning to walk the other direction. It felt unfair to get spotted by something you couldn't really prepare for.
But despite these two gripes, this was a great game, it felt satisfying to sneak by waiters, especially when going behind or next to them without getting spotted, the checkpoint placements were fair but still helpful and overall, the game looks great and feels great.
Fantastic work!
Was really fun and felt like a boss when I was able to sneak by. But it was pretty rare because of how hard it could be. Overall though I think it is really well done. No real bugs that I found, the art and music was really coo, and the game was really fun. Nicely done!
Nice Interpretation of the Theme. The Mechnic is working good but I think the game is too hard.
Puh very hard but it looks as if it could be fun :D just not for me
Simple in concept, but can be very hard and unforgiving (minus the generous checkpoints). Has potential to get frustrating as you respawn directly into middle of guards sometimes, causing dozens of respawns in a row. The AI is nice and functional at core, also diggin' the art style!
Very interesting concept but I found it really hard. There didn't seem to be many gaps in the patrol view cones of the guards, and then I would just get swarmed. Anyways I really like it and you did great!
Great twist of the concept! And thanks for being generous with the save locations!
Nice game! Reminded me ocarina of time when you have to get pass the guards to get to in to the castle, it was fun :D!
That was pretty fun, and neat twist on the theme. I found you could just get spotted and kite the waiters around and get them stuck on the tables and stuff to escape, which turned the stealth game into a fun, chaotic run around the restaurant. Not a whole lot of criticism other than I think the vision cones were a bit inaccurate at times. I was getting spotted when I was outside of their FOV, but it was pretty minor. Well done implementing checkpoints, by the way! And also that was a lot of art for such a short amount of time! Fantastic!
Yeah, I already know about this problem with the view cones. The problem is that the way I did it involves complex math to rotate the view cones and at 6 am the day before the end of the game jam (I worked the whole night) there just was no time to fix it. I'm glad you liked the art and also the chaotic gameplay, it's true I spent a lot of time on the art.
I was honestly super impressed with what you DID manage to do with the view cones. That's a bigger programming challenge than I would have wanted to take on for a 7-day jam, so kudos for getting what you got in there. Also, the art really adds a lot to the game. I think overall I would have been better off spending less time on art and more on programming, but your art gives your game a really nice polish that makes the game feel much more "complete" and not like something made in 7 days :)
Managed to finish the game. This is a pretty fun game, I really enjoy the checkpoints and the AI was pretty impressive. There were a few times they tried to head me off, which was neat. I feel like the game was less about stealth and more about trying maneuver between enemies.
Good implementation of sightlines but there were some times where they jumped around a bit. Overall good game.
Being chased by the bad guys after they spot you is tuned great, just enough that if your quick you can get away, but not so slow your sure you can do it. I also really liked the speech bubble at the beginning. I have been trying to find a good tutorial on making those.
Nice job! I really like how you implemented the stealth feature into the game :)
The stealth is good, it's quite hard but you can escape relativelly easily. The view/range indicators works well. The only major problem is waiters sometime turning 180° instantly.
I got stuck at a respawn point where 3 waiters jump into me imediatly. IMO respawn points should always be safe place.
Yeah, that's a bug I unfortunately didn't have time to fix, but it will be solved when the game jam is over.
