Wow! Love the top down approach and storytelling text system too! It's really quite polished! Loved the game!
- I loved the story. I wanted to play more. If you do a second part let me know please:D
- The music is a little bit disturbing. Audio can be improved.
- Graphics are nicely enough.
- I laughed hardly at the P P A P sound :D
Really cool game. Good job!
Very nice story based game, although the cave collapsing sound exploded my headphones lol
I liked so much the theme and the story! Put some story in the game tells so much about you and how do you view games. With more time I imagine that you could polish the visuals and the animation for the pencil.
Congratulations and how nice is putting the language option!
Check our game too, if possible~
It is a really nice game! I like the graphics a lot (were three sounds that I missed or are there no sounds?), and the idea of using the pencil in many different ways is really cool. I don't really have any suggestions, only thing is maybe adding some more feedback when you teleport to let the player know something happened. Anyways, make a post jam version please.
Nice concept and an overall fine game. I get that the music was a nod to the rewind theme, but it got annoying really fast, though I understand that music was not your main focus and you only had a week. Also found some spelling errors which is unfortunate in a story-based game.
That's a great and original game, I love the story and how different mechanics are introduced one by one like a proper game (not like a rushed jam game :D)
It has so much potential, you should definitely polish it and expand it after the jam.
One problem I had was with rooms resetting every time I left them, also the pencil would sometimes get stuck after I pressed X to throw it.
Interesting idea! Making a story driven game is very hard under a time limit, and you did a good job of it. The pencil is a pretty smart idea, and I like the dialog. Rewinding isn't present in the mechanics, but it is in the story, and that makes it very unique in its implementation of the theme. Good job.
Good job in trying to make a storydriven game! It needs some polish (those guys are still trapped after you reenter the room etc.)
I liked the story, the "combat" and the design. It's not diamond, of course but it's a pretty solid game. The mechanics with the pencil are really interesting(i played only until the teleportation part). Nice job on making the game, not gonna lie, I had a little tad of fun playing it!
Hey, try it out my game too!
Great game with good story!
If you have the time, please rate my game: https://adro05.itch.io/bodyguard-rewinder-800x
I can tell this was heavily inspired by undertale :) but i love the tutorial, did a great job of teaching the player, and it was way bigger than i expected!
I really liked this game! I got really into the story! It was also very helpful that you introduce each new ability one at a time so I'm not overwhelmed. The only recommendation I have is to let the player click 'play' at the beginning or make the instructions (click z) VERY BIG because at first I thought the game wouldn't even open. Overall a great game!
