In what way does your game fit the theme?
Oh no, our precious mixtape has been stolen by the evil "Earless" !!

To progress you have to rewind broken cassettes and use their tape as a bridge to travel to the next area. Accurate jumping skills recommended for maximum satisfaction!

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All assets and coding done by me from scratch (except two free "ding" audio effects)

The movement felt a little out of control. I liked the tape rewind mechanic to move between levels :) well done

Great idea! I like the mechanic of the tape. The monsters are a lot like Papa Louie pizzas... hehe.  Although, I think that the movement is weird, for me that makes hard to play.

Thank you very much for the feedback, a lot has already changed in my updated build which will be uploaded after the Jam! I just reviewed your game. (Awesome btw, we have similar menu and idea hehe)

Enjoyed the mechanics of the game. Nice Job! Enjoyed the theme and color scheme. Keep it up!

I'd love to hear your input on my submission, I'm going to be continuing it after the jam so and criticisms / suggestions / feedback are welcome!

Game was okay, it was just platformer so nothing thta interesting. Thing that i love in this game is sounds, they really worked and felt good.

Thank you for your feedback!

Interesting take on a platform with the cassette tape. I like the physics of the tape. Was fun and interesting. Wish I had more lives or a way to get some :)

Its a great idea. Well played on the theme executiong! Loved it!

Developer

Thank you very much, reviewing your game very soon :)

The idea is really good. The controls felt a little weird, but maybe it's just me.

Nice idea and Nice concept.

Good game.

Well, that's technically rewinding, isn't it? 🤣

I think too that having limited lives is a con. But good work with the game!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback, I’m going to play and rate your game within the day! :)

The gameplay is quite smooth I enjoyed it :) I think having limited lives for the entire game ruins a bit the game, would have prefered a reset for each part.

I'd appreciate if you play and rate our game too! :)

Thank you very much for the detailed review!! Actually I have added a comment below the game, it seems that when embedded, the game view in levels gets cut a bit on both sides. In full screen you see the  game view as intended! I hadn’t noticed this earlier but I will fix this as soon as uploading new builds gets unlocked!! :)

(Also, followed you to be able to support in your future endeavors!!)

really good game! great idea!

I don't know if this only happens to me but the game won't restart the level on the right camera when the player died. Otherwise pretty cool idea of making cassetes as bridges!

Developer

Each "level" is 7 parts, when you die (when you lose all lives) you go from the beginning as it is designed now so it's not actually a bug if that is what you are mentioning. Thanks for the feedback :)

Super cool use of the theme! Feels kinda like I Wanna Be the Guy

Developer

Thank you very much, I was always into the difficult ones :)

Really interesting idea! congratulations! the jump is a bit difficult, not going to lie

Developer

Thanks a lot and congrats on your game. I got lots of stuff I'm currently working on that didn't make the Jam deadline but a bit of tuning on the Jump is one of those! Feedback greatly appreciated :)

I like how you interpret the theme. Also, "rope" physics for tape bridges looks really nice!

A very creative take on theme. Fun and challenging!

Pretty fun!

I love the graphics and sounds! :D

Developer

Thanks a lot, downloading your game and rating as soon as I get some time to play. :)

I like the idea of forming a bridge with the tape. Hope to see more turns in the use of this mechanism

Liked the rewinding casettes idea. Just a few issues: the enemy sprites seem a bit blurry (not really an issue just a minor annoyance). At one point I came  across what seemed like random spiked floating in the air. I think the jumping could do with a bit more work. Apart from that though it's a good game and has good level design, good job!

Developer

Thanks a lot for your comment, those are all things I will definitely improve upon after the Jam! Thanks for spending time in my game! :)
