This game feels very smooth and polished. It is also very dynamic, which I really liked!

Great audio, really nice controls and beautiful game! Really enjoyed playing this and really liked the concept of the dreams and how it changed every night! Really good work! :D

Loved it though i would make the begining a bit easier

Thats a great game! Congrats on this one. The more I played it, the better it got! Normally I try to find negative things but... there aren't? ^^

The control mechanics are so good. Those are missing in my game, give them to me haha ;)

Impressive for a week game jam! Good!

I really liked the level of polish, well done!

Wonderful, amazing, incredible,  what else...!! Hey I just love this game! They way you guys made that simple level design that keeps repeating its reaally smart thing, and the mechanics wall grab, dash, super jump... This is reaaally fun to play!! Congratulations!

Okay wow...

This game is my favourite from the jam so far.. The graphics are gorgeous and there's so much polish here for something made in such a short amount of time. The ambience and changing of the same few rooms is amazing. Even though the game is repeating to fit the theme, it still feels like you're going to new areas!

The only issue I have is that THERE ISN'T MORE!!

This is so ripe for expansion and I'd happily pay for a full version of this! Love it!

Developer

Could you give us more details as to what platform you are using?
In case it helps: We have tested it in Windows with both Keyboard (Web + Exe) and Xbox controller or similar (Exe) and didn’t see any issue of that sort.

sure thing.. using "Microsoft Edge" and I only tried the web version.. I made a little vid.. it gets as far as this, and I cant tell if it's stopping, or if my controls are not working

The game is loading as expected. Seems that the controls are not sent for some reason to the application (asuming you are pressing the ones presented in the Keymap pictures).

I have just tested it on my Microsoft Edge, and it seems to work on my end.

I am not sure what happens, but please feel free to get the Executable version, since that seems to be the fastest way to either discard some issue with the input/browser or to find a solution for your problem.

Regards.

Really nice game, you absolute nailed the input buffer mechanics used in games like celeste. Not too tough but not too easy, music fit the overall feel of the game well and the art was good. The pink unicorn thing was probably my favourite bit of the game, something about it felt good and I think it was the sound effect used.

this is a bit too good for a 7 day project and if you look at the project name in the itch.io page it says: "2-D Main Project 2019.4f.01" so you worked on it a long time before!(if this is false, sorry,  it is still a great game so you get a follow)

Developer (1 edit)

The project name is based on the Unity version. If you check there is a release with exactly that name, which is the latest LTS release.

Edit:

It was the latest release (Unity 2019.4.5f1) 1 week earlier to the Jam, when we met up for the first time to chat and decide which Engine  and Version to use.
So: 2D(template) + MainProject(no name for the game yet, and this is not a test project) + Unity LTS Version at the time (Approx).

Sorry for the confusion, again.

This is amazing good job!

Haha - duuuude!!! This is so perfect. This is actually the best game I have played during this jam. Movement execution is just perfect - it feels so good to play this character. Movement is so intuitive that it requires little to no explanation. Graphics - perfect, audio - perfect (I love that every action has it's own sound effect). I had so much fun playing this game but in 3rd or 4th wall I just can't get through and obstacle where there are crabs both on right and left wall and I need to go higher.

Developer

Man, I'm sorry you weren't able to finish it T.T   We agree the levels need lots of adjustment to smooth out the dificulty curve.  But hey, Thank you for those kind words!  We're really glad you enjoyed it!
