Really like the style of the game! It was fun! Some of the text placement was a bit hard to read! Other than that great game!
the sound effects and the aesthetics are really great! it was indeed enjoyable, good job!
Loved the neon aesthetics, and that the upgrades were also included in the slot machine. Think maybe some quick buttons (eg +10, +50, +100, -10, etc) would be good to include with the bet amount for those of use who are lazy. But I also liked that you can make the amount completely custom, so I hope you keep that in as an option too :)
Very cool aesthetic! I'm clearly not a gambler, because no matter what I do my money goes down. I thought if I bet 10 I'd only lose 10? Maybe explain how the betting works, as far as the outcomes and such, in the tutorial?
Fun little time waster. Graphics fit the gameplay well. Music is good. I wasn't sure what I needed to win, so it was kind of just guesswork. Ran into a bug in the tutorial where a couple of the green popup windows wouldn't go away. Played the Windows build. Other than that, it's a nice start!
I saw your game in the "very long rate for rate" thread. I was hoping you could give mine a try since I am rating yours? Thanks!
I really enjoyed your game. I loved the music and the visual art style you went with. It reminded me of the neon vector style arcade games from the 80s. Overall it was a fun game to play. 10/10 would play again. Well done!
Love the visual, audio and the style of the game, they're very unique and amazing. The only thing I think could be improved is the tutorial texts, sometimes they're hard to read because they blend in with the background and maybe a transparent black panel behind them would help. Other than that, great job. This is the second game that I rated 5 stars on all categories and the first one was also about gambling XD
Plus, it's always great to see a fellow Godot developer
The visuals and the audio elevate this to whole other level. Needs some major balancing though. Great job!
The vibes are off the charts and the game itself is simply heaven for my rotten gambler's brain! One criticism I do have is that the game's pacing is a bit too slow for my liking and having to manually type in bets really screws with the speed. Also I felt like I was always losing money, but that's just an average slot machine experience xD
With a bit more balancing and maybe some tweaks to the core gameplay, this game could become a real gem! Other than that, extremely solid work, despite my critique, I still enjoyed the game a lot!
Really love the vibes and clever concept, never thought about a slots roguelike before! Although it did feel like I was always losing money, I think one of the times I played I lost every single round until I ran out of money with $100 bets, so maybe the odds are something to look into rebalancing? It is pretty accurate to real slot machines as I feel like you always lose those lmao but for the purposes of a regular game it may be good for the odds to be more favorable. Other than that nice work and y'all should check out my game if you have the time!
Unique game. Could have used just a full screen button instead of a window scale slider but thats just my preference. Fun none the less. Keep up the good work and maybe check out my game Climbin For Crumb
First of all the visuals are really intriguing. The vibes are great. The music is awesome, kinda mesmerizing.
For the gameplay: I had difficulties. I was not sure why I lost my money so quickly. I tried different betting combinations but I couldnt find a pattern. I like the overall gameloop. Like balatro with a slotmashine. I can see, that you had to rush with submitting only 56sec before the jamend.
I think this deserves a postjam update and i can see myself playing this again!
Very nice vibes! The coolest thing for me is the moving camera - when you click credits or when you start a game! It looks pretty and smooth
Nice music and vibes, really like this neon outlines!
Lost three times and had fun! Risk is for sure involved :D
The vibes are definitely immaculate, love the visual style and music. Slot machine rougelike is a fun concept, and some of the ideas for new abilities are pretty interesting, like the +1 reel I got!
Had some thoughts tho. For one, it really felt like I was losing a lot more money than I should've been. And honestly, I really didn't feel like I was winning, like at all. Guess thats like real life tho haha
Maybe the player shouldn't be able to bet super low?
The UI feels a bit of an afterthought, which is a shame, cause otherwise the game looks super good. The text often bleeds out of the text box, and the font doesn't feel like it fits?
And sometimes it's not super clear to the player what the rewards of the pull actually mean, you feel me?
Still a really neat game though!
A lot of things we didn't finish in time, so sorry that the UI is lacking and the balancing is off. We had a really good UI concept, but no time to complete it, so instead went with what we could manage in time.
Glad you like the music though! I made it from scratch, I'm quite proud of it. There was gonna be more but we didn't finish implementing it in code, maybe I'll publish it elsewhere.
It seems some balancing is in order to prevent the player from betting too low, while still keeping them from losing so much money from low bets. It doesn't feel like how a real slot machine would run at all. Perhaps the bet should be the same every time? There are a number of ways you could fix it, but at the current moment, the main mechanic, betting and getting a return, doesn't work how most people want it to. Vibes are cool.
I love the graphics, I was drawing in immediately. I lost my money very quickly even after buying shop upgrades, so that was very confusing. I was losing almost double my money every time instead of earning anything. Even when I bet down to 10 dollars and I had 150 left, I had a game over immediately.
Hi! Somehow, the game opens up with a screen too big for my computer? Is there a way to fix it? I want to play, it looks cool! ^^
