A very simple and nice game made with pico 8!
But being simple doesn't mean being bad, the game was pretty polished and well done in all of the rating criterias!

Looks really good and feels super polished, my only gripe is that theres no music - that would really help! do you know beepbox? thats whta i use for retro games :)

It's a retro arcade game style, which reminds me of the space pinball game I played in primary school! Although my game level is not high, I was dazzled by many bullets, and I was quickly killed haha!
Fun, before the big cookie showed up I was thinking this was more of a bullet heck than a bullet hell, but then the challenge really ramped up! I loved the explosion effects but I guess that came from Cherry Bomb?

Thank you! that means that I did pretty okay with level design and balancing. Ya the explosion came from cherry bomb tweaked a bit for visual clarity for the context of a bullet hell, and I do admit that I didn't have time to replace some of these assets with my own personal effects just some minor tweaks to make it closer to a bullet hell rather than a high score shmup
The explosion visual effects are really great! Overall, the game runs super smoothly, and it’s a great little game to pass the time with.
I've never seen a pico-8 game in a jam before so this was neat! The polish here is incredibly high to the point you could convince me this was a port of a classic arcade game. The bullet spacing felt reasonable and the wave difficulty felt right too. I couldn't quite beat it but this was really good!
Loved this bullet hell game, it’s simple and really dynamic. I made it to wave 6, but died twice to the giant cookie on wave 5. Congrats on the game, simple and fun

the near meiss mechanic ties to the theme perfectly, but i would've prefered to have a stronger ability than just bullet clear.

Nice retro shmup! Like bullets patterns, interesting idea with following cookie enemies, each wave has really good growing dynamics. But I don't really understand how near i have to miss to gain a meter. Slow moving mode for micro dodging would be great, btw.
Fun game! I managed to beat it on my third attempt. It is very satisfying to play and I was really trying my very best to win that double boss fight. Great job making this game and I hope that you keep making more games if that is what you want to do.

This is a really nicely polished arcade game - I liked the explosion effects and sounds a lot, it made the gameplay feel pretty smooth.
I wasn't entirely sure where the risk aspect was in this game, until I read the "How does the game fit the theme" section above. I didn't really get the sense that I "near missed" a projectile - but maybe a slight slow-mo effect or visual indicator would be beneficial so that players aim to keep chaining those near misses.

Fantastic game! I love the pixel art and aspect ratio it truly felt retro and very thematic all around with the choice of sound and visual prompts. I really enjoyed it!
After a couple of attempts, I came so close to winning! Made it to the final wave with the two biscuits. Dodging all those bullets felt impossible though lol. I like the unique mechanic of gaining more of the meter by just barely missing a bullet. Truly risking it for the biscuit :)
