This had some No Man Sky vibes to it. I like that you had clear objectives (that were marked off as you finish each one) The sparkles were a nice touch to help draw you to quest areas, super smart design choice! Some kind of indicator that helped point you to your ship would help with navigation, there were times I was trying to explore new areas of the planets and would accidentally circle around to the same areas. Some kind of compass or extra navigation feature would help tremendously with that. I'm impressed with how many planets and biomes you managed to include, the game felt pretty polished as a whole! Really feels like a demo for a bigger game/idea. Great job to the whole team for getting this done in a week!

This was a fun platformer! I liked the story telling element (also thank you for having him speed up, haha) Some one screen prompts for the controls would be nice. Since the game takes up the entire page (and I couldn't scroll once the game launched) I didn't see the controls until I opened another tab and scrolled down. Being able to key map would also be really cool. I would have loved to try the platforming with a AD and space for movement and jump. Overall though great game! Loved the art style, the foreground detailing in the hospital was a really nice touch.
A mix of ways! Sometimes I scroll through the submissions, other times it's games from people that have rated our game, or games that I think look interesting in other people's comments. Here are a few of my favorite's so far! :) Have you come across any favorites?

I love the concept of this! The rover has slight Wall-e vibes and I love it! I encountered some camera clipping though the ground and the rover head/camera was a little hard to aim sometimes. Overall I really enjoyed looking for things to catalog and driving around was pretty fun. This is an impressive game for one person in a week, well done!
Thank you! We wanted to add a more traditional eating mechanic but it was something we had to scrap to finish other things, it is something we would like to expand on in the future! A tutorial is also on our "to do" with the next update to make the unintuitive elements a bit more straightforward! Thank you so much for giving our game a go and leaving such thoughtful feedback, it is greatly appreciated!
This was a fun game! I liked the upgrades and that you could really feel the ship improving. The theming and visuals were very fun! I liked the different space biomes too. On the first launch it took me a little bit to figure out I needed to hold w to launch the rocket forward but after that it was smooth sailing! Nice work!
Wow! This is possibly my favorite game of the bunch so far! Love the concept and execution. It had just the right mix of platforming and puzzling. The pixel art is fantastic, I love the lighting effects as well. The background animation with the stars gives it a nice dynamic feel too. Impressive you got this done in a week! Amazing work!
I see a cat in your cover image, I'm excited to give it a try!
Here is ours. :)

I really enjoyed your game! The intro was amusing and thematic feeling, it set up the game well! The movement of the ship "stuck" at points (right after picking up shards I found I couldn't rotate the ship unless I move forward first). I like that the ship is slower when it is weighted down, but the use of the boost (with a cost of energy) is a great way to give you additional options. I wish there was either a mini map to assist with orientation (I got lost a lot trying to get back to the hubs/shard bank) or a way to plop down a flag or some kind of marker that your ship would then have an arrow pointing towards. I feel like that might be a good way to allow lots of exploration but still give the play some kind of way to navigate back to places they've been. Perhaps you start with one flag and you can buy other colored flags as upgrades later on? I would find it useful to flag the hub and if I found a bunch of crystals I want to return to for instance. Overall though I really enjoyed the game and I hope you continue to develop it! It has a lot of strong points and I think you could build a lot more into it!
We are feeling similarly on our game. We need a little time to think through what all we want to do from here but we do want to continue working on our game in the future. Right now we know we want to add a tutorial to the first world to give more clarity to the player and possibly add more biomes and mechanics. Would love some feedback/ideas if you are up to it! I will go check out your game now. :)

This fit the theme super well! The ending was amusing too. Only thing is some kind of prompt for the controls would be nice, it took me a little bit to figure out what button I needed for the mini games vs interacting with stuff. I did figure it out, but a little pop up prompt would be nice. Good variety overall and the visuals were fantastic, great work!
Thank you so much! We would love to add more biomes in the future, two was all we had time for this week but perhaps in an update! Inventory space can be upgraded in the cave, but it's easy to miss. We intended to have a tutorial to explain the premise (including the upgrade tree) but we didn't have enough time to complete. Thanks for the feedback!
Thank you so much for taking the time to play (and beat!) our game! There are a few rough spots we hoped to iron out with a tutorial world but we couldn't quite get it done in time for the deadline. We will have to do some additional testing on the game size, we noticed some issues with firefox vs chrome but it was lower on our list of priorities. Something to aspire to fix after the game jam concludes! Thanks again for checking out our game! :)
Thank you so much for taking time to play our game! We were hoping the smaller inventory would encourage upgrading the inventory limit but I think some of those features are harder to spot since we didn't get the opening tutorial out in time. I can also see how the crafting recipes would be overwhelming at first! Good feedback to keep in mind as we continue to develop this game in the future, thank you!
Thank you so much for taking time to play our game and leave feedback!
We wanted the game to have some inventory management elements and increase the motivation to upgrade your inventory, the items do stack inside the cave but backpack space it limited.
An outline would have been an interesting way to highlight the items! We will have to experiment with that down the line. We didn't realize how subtle the sparkle animation would be until we were down to the wire but we will work on improving in the future!
Absolutely on the tutorial! Ideally that first world was going to be our tutorial, and we should have prioritized that earlier in the week... but we plan to add it after the Game Jam.
Thanks again for taking the time to leave thoughtful feedback, we want to continue working on the game and feedback like this is invaluable! :)
This was a fun game! I really like the overall art style and aesthetic! It took a few plays to get the hang of it but I greatly enjoyed the process. I was initially confused on the first play through what the enemies were (since non seem to spawn in the first world. But I got it in the second area. Absolutely impressive game for a game jam. Great job!
Checking out your game now! Here is ours. :) We are also a two player team!

This is a satisfying game with the sound effects and the smooth movement. I like that the bullet will take out more than one ant at a time, that always felt satisfying. I couldn't figure out what to do with the grey ant? Shooting it a bunch didn't seem to help. Overall a fun game and I'm always impressed with anyone who is able to pull together a game on their own for these game jams! Great work!
This was a really fun game! I liked the tiny world building. Only wish I could keep the little jars forever.
Here is our game!
