Great work, especially for a solo dev. I'm guessing you drew all the graphics by hand yourself which is great. The visual styling is very self-consistent and works well for this game. The controls aren't bad, although I found the dash a bit hard to control. I felt compelled to try to complete the next level each time and since each are small enough the retry after death didn't feel like I had to redo too much, even on the later levels. The music was a good choice and overall the audio added to the experience of the visuals. I loved the intro sequence with the cartoon still frames. Not quite sure what it was telling me but it looked great and didn't intrude on getting to play the game. Well done!

Short and sweet with a crazy good style and crazy gameplay to match. If every time I completed a small task I saw that level win graphic my days would improve significantly.

Very nice job! Loved the visuals, they are great, the running animation is very well done and funny :)

My only suggestion is for the later levels to have a "safe zone" were the player respawn, so they can analyze what is going on allowing to plan how they are going to traverse the level.

Great game and very fun! I did run into a bug during one of the levels where I would respawn and wasn't able to move. So I ended up having to refresh the page and start over. I'm not sure what caused that. Otherwise, great job!

Really amazing work. Was fast paced and instant respawning made it easier to just get back into it. Tho the last level does feel a bit unfair for some reason even when I dash through the bullets kept hitting me for the last machine? No clue why. Also adding some sfx would be nice too. Great work overall

Cool game! The levels were fast paced and the story was a nice touch. There may have been some bugs with respawning in the incorrect position, and some more feedback like a sound effect when dying would have been nice.

Fun game! I enjoyed dodging around and completing levels! The hitboxes did feel a little inconsistent at times though. I also encountered a bug where I died at the same time I completed a level which locked me at the beginning of the level without being able to move.  The animations of the guy was very silly and made me laugh. This was a good time all around.

This was fun! If i had to offer one bit of constructive criticism, it would probably be to try and avoid spawning the player in a death scenario, where they are likely to get shot over and over again when they respawn. Luckily you made the respawn time instant (which is very good!) but it still can feel like the best option is just to brute force the room when you are starting off in danger, as opposed to planning out a route carefully.

Aside from that, I absolutely loved the visuals and the amount of effort put into them. Having a story like that with so many panels is not an easy feat in such a short amount of time. You should be proud!

Very well done all around, this was fun to play and I can proudly say I beat it!

My comment didn't send :/ I said that I liked the fast pace of the game and the visuals are nice and fitting. Kudos for making this in 7 days, I liked it!

Great visuals, particularly the character design. Quick gameplay that reminded me of games I used to play in school computer labs. Loved the challenges, had to alter from fast pace dashing to slow and steady on occasion so didn't feel samey.

Liked the twist, wonder if it leads anywhere, a sequal/full game perhaps?

Well Done!

Excellent character design, good levels. The game is very fast, sometimes you don't immediately understand what's happening on the level and die 3-4 times in a row, but  the respawn is instant, so you don't lose any speed at all. Well done!

Heyy awesome stuff!! The art is incredible, the move animations make the character look super unhinged!! I had fun with the levels, its very fast paced which i like. I do wish i didnt get insta killed like 3 times per respawn, but since its so fast it barely matters. Amazing games, congrats on the submission!!

I really like the Meatboy-esque instant respawn.  It definitely keeps the meat grinder gameplay moving at full speed.  Some of the instant kills at spawn might otherwise be unfair, but it doesn't really matter since you're just supposed to go all the time anyway.

Sad this jam doesn't have a dedicated narrative category.  That ending reminds me of the Dark City movie.

Dang this is awesome! Art is great, the turrets almost syncing to the beat at times is awesome (unsure if intentional), and the instant resets makes re-trying a breeze. I just wish there was like… a lot more levels! Which is a great problem to have for a jam game :) Would’ve liked more sounds and whatnot but what’s here is super solid, nice work!

This game reminded me of Flash Player games! It's a very funny comic at the beginning and at the end, the levels themselves are not patterned, which is good. I also liked the hand drawing style!

Love the art!!! Enjoyed the gameplay and stuck with it for some time. Great story! Eventually, it got insanely hard! yay!

Love how insane the main character looks like.

I died a few hundred times, but it was fun! I really liked how you included the story.

I found a really interesting rhythm in the fast cycle of death and rebirth, it's a lot of fun! However, I'm stuck on a later level: the cannons fire too fast for me to get through the barrage between the shots. By the way, the comic book intro is a really cool idea. I understood the story instantly!
