The last in the list, but by far not the least. Thank you so much for this beauty

I want to come back and keep playing this over and over after the jam ends. All three of you did an amazing job. The writing and worldbuilding is genuinely impressive, I hope your work doesn't go unrecognised with a story as rich as this. The art was detailed and fantastical with such a beautiful style. And the music couldn't have matched the atmosphere of the game more. I often leave these Game Jam games wondering what the game would be like if the developers had more time. This one is already nothing short of a masterpiece in short text-based story games, and if given more than a week I would hope you'd use the extra time to treat yourself for a job well done.
Nice and classic blackjack with a few extra tricks to spice it up. I managed to make it to X6 but having to specifically win 2 rounds with draws effectively counting as losses really held me back. That being said I did manage to get back to back spades jokers at one point so the luck balances itself out. Nice game!
I hope you stick with this after the jam because I'd love to see where this goes. The game is confusing at first sure, I never actually figured out which way I was facing. But it very quickly became akin to the classic Atari games that you just can't put down. I think I got to about 60 health before missing a very critical shot and losing it all but the big risks and big payoffs are what make it so fun and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I will come back to this one as for whatever reason I'm getting a suspicious file warning that I do not have the energy to resolve at the moment. Thank you for sharing though! (Also I should have warned in the main post but I am dreadful with horror, apologies if I cannot appreciate your game as much as it deserves)
Thank you for the feedback! It means a lot for you to take the time to critique us and help us grow. I am a little more proud of the settings button than I realistically should be so I'm glad to see someone besides me likes it too. Fullscreening interrupts the music due to an oversight in a hotfix that was not spotted until now so thank you for pointing that out.
We do want to give the player a little more agency and a little less punishment in future updates as we feel the game submitted is more of a "Challenge Mode" than anything. Rerolling doesn't end your turn to give the player as much time to process what is happening as they like, although an Auto Mode possibly built into Fast Mode will be a good thing to consider. Also yes black dice turn their opposing die white for the round. We were quickly made aware that our in-game explanations were a tad unclear, so the description has a more detailed guide to the mechanics in the meantime.
We're glad you enjoyed in spite of any confusion, and we hope it didn't impact your experience too much.
I struggled a bit too much with finding and shooting the other ships but that's 100% a personal issue with spaceship games and not on you. That being said, I was a huge fan of the close call system and I would honestly enjoy a game with these mechanics on its own so the extra goal was really nice despite my inability to succeed in it. Very nice job!

It might not be the best score, but it is one I am happy with. Very simple mechanic executed in a wonderful way. It felt satisfying to get the long chains because you held onto just the right pastries at the right moment and it was weirdly addicting to just keep going until my luck ran out. This game has such a nice aesthetic with a really addicting gameplay loop that's super intuitive and feels good to play. I simply could not ask for more
I love a nice sokoban and I'm surprised to say I haven't seen a mechanic like this because this is such a good idea. It's nice and simple but highly adaptable which is the ideal puzzle mechanic combination. It was executed well too, some of the puzzles were tricky but in that sokoban way where you get the satisfying AHA! moment on figuring it out. Very good job!
There's no point rehashing the bugs and softlocks, many people have pointed them out already. What I will say is that while mechanically, a little extra time might have helped, aesthetically, this game is beautiful. I'm in love with the style and the atmosphere and it's clear a lot of love was poured into making it how it is. I really hope you can find the little issues holding it back because I'd love to play the version of this game it could have been without such a tight deadline
