How does the game fit the theme?
The player chooses the map, the time limit and the equip for the round. The reward the player receives for the round depends on the risk the player is willing to take
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Everything was made by me, except for the sound track and 2 of the sound effects

It was a bit challenging for me, but I like the game's concept and simple design. Good job!
That was a fun albeit rather difficult game, with precise platforming (particularly to avoid the spikes).
Overall: YOU HAVE SOMETHING REALLY GOOD GOING ON HERE! I really liked how I was put in the middle of deciding if I should replay a map I already know multiple times (risking failure due to having to do more attempts) or go for a harder map with a power up in order to get the score goal in one go so the THEME IS ABSOLUTELY THERE!

Thank you for playing and taking the time to write such a detailed comment :)
First of all, glad you enjoyed it. Rotating the maps sounds like a fun idea to "force" players to try out different combinations and not just repeating what they found is working well. Someone else also suggested limiting the amounts a certain upgrade can be used, which goes into a similiar direction. Don't know the best way to realize your idea yet, but it might be something to consider for the future :)
This game is great! I loved the style, and the controls felt snappy, if anything, a little slippery, but I think that was just a learning curve thing. Really great all around!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Cool game, I liked the power ups reducing the amount of score gained, its a nice way to balance the difficulty. Personally I think this game would have suited a mario style jump where the jump power is based on how long you press, as I think this would make the multi jump power ups more useful also allowing a wider possibility of levels :)
Thank you! Yeah maybe that could've worked well :)
A very cool and polished game. I would just maybe suggest being able to use abilities only once per day or something like that, cuz I just meta gamed the same level over and over.
Thank you! Yeah that sounds like a fun idea, might need some more abilites then tho :)
This is a really simple but well executed concept! It really leaves room for players to experiment for themselves which approach can allow them to earn the most points, not to mention that it also leads to a very flexible difficulty curve. Great job!
Thanks for playing and your feedback :)
A simple but very polished game! Controls feel amazing, completing a map in time totally works with the theme of the game jam. Great job!!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it :)
I thought I was doing so well until I had to risk doing the x3 mult level. Great job on this game. It was really fun and I like the amount of variety you put into the player choices.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Awesome game, love the challenge and the freedom to choose. Pretty smooth platforming experience too, good job! Add more challenge, perks, and other variety if you decide to continue this game, I really want more haha.
Maybe double shields will be a nice perk...
Thank you for the feedback! Really glad you enjoyed it :)
Maybe I'll work on the game some more after the jam, we'll see. Double shields sounds fun, especially since when I equiped the shield, I lost it in the first lap nearly everytime haha
Nice game! I think this was a good take on the theme with how you can choose what power ups you can have and try to go with as little as possible to collect points. It was fun to try them out. I also enjoyed the visuals, love the simpleness.
Thank you :)
Great, thanks for playing :)
Oh I adore the pick your poison element you had going on here. I love how much of the risk reward you put in the players hands. By the time I needed 1500 points I had a pretty good routine with the double jump medium map, so I figured i could shave off 10 seconds to try and just baaarely squeak by without going to the hardest map. I end up dying to the spikes, get flustered because of the time limit, and can't finish the final lap. I had a lot of fun playing!
haha that's great! Like not you failing to complete the final lap, but the story about it :)
Glad you enjoyed the game!
Double jump/Dash on the 1x map is too OP, Tried the 3x and got humbled and lost all my progress ;-; Wonderful game with a great feel!
Thanks! Yeah some upgrade combinations are definetly better than others, but finding them isn't as easy sometimes haha
I got humbled when I tried low gravity and double jump on 3X😭
Somehow I really liked that combo when playing, gave me a bunch of points if I managed to complete it
I love the concept of a lap-based platforming "racing" game!
The core idea here is very solid, and the movement feels very snappy and nice.
However I think some of the level design could be easier - especially since people have time limits. I couldn't finish a single lap on 3x mult level unless I used low gravity and double/triple jump.
I just ended up doing the shortest route on 1x mult with low gravity for the first 4 days, then attempted 3x mult some more, but can barely even get past the spikes on the first drop.
Other than that the core of the game is very solid!
Thanks for playing and your feedback :)
Glad you enjoyed the core idea. I can definetly understand that some parts of the difficult map can be really hard without abilities, I probably just got used to the movement a lot during development haha
No worries, I think literally all jam gamedevs underestimates the difficulty of their own game at least once! I've done it multiple times 😅
Yeah probably won't be the last time for me haha
Well made platformer that feels nice to control! And I liked how the art and audio felt nice together.
Thank you :)
This is a really smart and well-designed game! The risk/reward system is fantastic. I love how you have to balance choosing the map, the time, and spending points on abilities before each run. It adds a great strategic layer to the platforming. Awesome job!
Thanks for playing and your feedback! Glad you enjoyed it :)
The jump in difficulty from the 0.5x level to the 1x is just too much, those damn spikes just made me rage quit and rate you 1 star😡😡😡 Nice game, good job 👍
It would have been good if controllers were supported as the super precise platforming required is quite tricky with keyboard.
Not really a controller player myself, but I see why it would've been nice. Maybe something to consider for my future games :)
You play precision platformers with keyboard? Are you a masochist? 😬 (btw I did complete the game eventually and didn't really rate it 1 star!)
With the right upgrades, precision can be neglected in this game haha
Congrats on completing the game :)
Dang Its hard haha, cool game though. <3
Thanks for playing :)
Really fun idea! Doing levels "legitimately" was really difficult with the spikes and the fast movement, but I had lots of fun experimenting with combinations of upgrades to find an easy route that I could complete, and then adjusting the timing to give myself a challenge. Worked like a charm! Only made it to day 5 but it was because I was trying new strategies (and messing them up)
Full marks for innovation and theme. With more levels I would have just kept playing. Nice work!
Thanks a lot! Really hoped the different combinations would make the game fun :)
