How does the game fit the theme?
The game is based on risk and chance. Players take turns picking biscuits, but some are secretly poisoned. Every choice carries uncertainty whether you stay safe or fall victim depends on luck and risk taking. This ties directly into the theme of making risky decisions with unpredictable outcomes.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
All core gameplay code and some assets were made from scratch during the jam. Only the engine (Godot) and standard fonts/resources provided by it were used. There's a Credit button in the game that you can click to view more info.

I enjoyed your game! With the game being completely reliant on luck, I don't believe going first or second gives any advantage, and I don't see how bluffing would help in this game against another person due to it's rng reliance

Fits the theme, but a little too much RNG chaos for me ... no real skill involve (I guess that's like real Roulette :-).  Good effort.

Nice work! Fits the theme nicely! Some great feedback points below. With some extra polish you've got a really good arcade game here

A simple mechanism, but the gameplay experience is very complete with the music, art, and visual effects. Short and sweet!

The graphics and music are pretty good. I do think the game gets stale pretty quickly, as you just have to pick different biscuits. Like others have said, some more variety would be great. Maybe power ups or minigames or QTEs might help!

Feels like a complete game! Although I agree with some of the comments, it does need a bit more influence on the outcome as it feels entirely luck based. However I do feel hypocritical saying that because our game is luck based too, so I completely understand haha!

Nice simple art, funny music matching the whole vibe.

Played solo versus the game, and honestly it was not much of fun, but I guess such games are more for the two people to play on the couch, comment on what’s going on and making fun of each other, so my feedback may not be super relevant.

As mentioned in other comment it may be a good idea to add some variety, even just in terms of visuals, just imagine the comment of the couple playing the game when some of them takes the biscuit with a bug inside:)

One more thing to mention - there is definitely and issue with the page configuration as the embedded game takes more space than my 2560px display, consider making it 1024px in width at max, so it will look fine on most of laptops and PC’s.

Interesting idea, believe it or not I found the exact game at the start of ratings in this game jam. It's fun game little game but maybe add some variety gameplay wise, imo feels too simple, though for 7 days good work.

Good luck

It’s easy, simple and addictive. I like it, I could spend hours on this. However there are a couple suggestions:

  • The game feels a bit too luck related, making it hard to continue after a rough round
  • I think the ui needs improvement
  • Add some more animations at points

Great entry though!

It's simple and easy to understand. And it would be quite funny to play it with your friends. But I do think you need some more innovating mechanics to make it stand out from the normal roulette games since as far as I can tell, the game plays on pure luck. Maybe try adding some abilities or items so players can feel like that their actions can affect the game, instead of being at the mercy of fate.

The game is simple to understand and doesn't need a tutorial. I feel like the game needs some juice to make it feel better.

Loved that you can play PVP and pretty slick music. A simple game, wish there were more types of biscuits to catch up when you are behind or that you could poison a random biscuit of your choice.

The risk factor hits hard and I really feel like eating the biscuit lol. Whoever wins the dice has a good advantage especially if the first biscuit is not poisoned which is good making the dice also powerful.

Quick Suggestions:

  • Coockies could have different colors just for visual representation that also maybe affect the choice.
  • Since you already have a dice you could use it again for example on every turn you have the coice to roll the dice and when you win you avoid eating the biscuit increasing the strategy factor.

Really well done!

Definitely lands the theme really well... the music did grate on me a wee bit, but guess the 8-bit matches the pixel art etc. I would have loved to have a bit more control over the outcome though as it was a bit overly random.

Maybe having only 1 or 2 poisoned biscuits and allowing the player to keep eating if they want to (up to a maximum of 3 or something) and then the turn over. Would mean that the player would be calculating the risk each time. Maybe you could have one pass as well (or even sell 2 points for a pass) or something similar.

Good concept though and solid implementation! Well done.
