How does the game fit the theme?
You need to find the "Energy-Biscuit" to extract all its energy. You must avoid the drones and get out in time. Pretty risky, are you up for the task?
Controls:
WASD : Move
SHIFT: Sprint
CTRL: Sneak
LMB(CLICK): Shoot (as soon as you have the energy for it)
RMB(HOLD): Extract energy (you need to extract all energy)
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Audio files and fonts are pre existing bought or free assets. Everything else was made from scratch.

Really cool stealth vibe, the light mechanic is clever. Felt awesome snagging the energy core, then instantly got wrecked by guards.. worth it though. Great job xd
Thank you. Glad you liked it.
A simple game with great use of mechanics for the theme. Having the quick and slow buttons in positions where it’s tough to sprint/crawl, and use the mouse at the same time adds to the gamble of movement or shooting. Having different targeting radius, depending on movement, was a clever way to add more ways to fit the theme. Audio and visual assets work great for the style of the game, and very responsive. Only issue there was was gaining full energy caused a little slow down when all the guards descended upon you. The variety of elevations was nice to have.
The difficulty of it made me determined to beat it and to keep playing (I still could not beat it, but was close). With the random nature of exits and the energy spot, with no indicators on their locations, I often wandered aimlessly, hoping to find them in time. The guards were maybe a little too strong, especially during the final chase; there was very little room for error when escaping. It is hard to weigh up the difficulty as it adds more to the theme, where you gamble any tactics to escape, but it can be a little too challenging. Perhaps different difficulties could be added (with the current version being the hard mode)?
I figured out the features and how to beat the game by playing a lot, but some descriptions would be nice. Took me a while to find out the white walls were the exits, and simply sprinting away from a guard will not stop them from chasing you; I needed to sprint some distance then crawl to reduce the target radius enough to escape.
Overall, the game was quite fun to play. Great work!
Thank you very much for taking the time to write such a long comment with such great and detailed feedback.
There are a few things, we will address in a polishing patch after the rating phase is over. (Like clarification of what to do and when, as well as some balancing and other feedback we got)
For the rest we are still thinking about if we will continue to work on it as a learning path or go on to the next game.
Either way, thank you very much for the great feedback. We are so glad you liked it even in its current state.
It means a lot.
Awesome game! The music was great, however I felt the urge to listen to 'Escape from the City' while holding down shift my entire run. 11/10 Would roll around at the speed of sound again
Thank you very much, now I have to check out Escape from the City.
Nice game, for some reason, it reminds me of Pac-Man
Thank you very much.
Hehe, Pac-Man was indeed one of the games we took inspiration from.
Gameplay loop is quite interesting, sound navigation works just great, and lvl design itself is some tricky (in good way), i enjoyed it. If you add more verticality and new enemies type, it'll be amazing. That concept has a nice potential.
Thank you very much.
We plan to make at least a polishing update after the rating period is over.
Maybe we will use this game for further learning and add some more gameplay mechanics, enemies etc.
But no promises on that.
Thanks again for the feedback.
Will check out your game now.
Love the idea, and its execution was great!
I found the strat of perma running to evade to be much riskier but paid off a lot to save on time, and it was also more skill involved to evade the guards on tight corners.
Oh and it's not a problem per say but I did notice the game running uncapped fps (for me 240+) which combined with the awesome lighting had my GPU screaming a bit (>80% usage), Maybe a frame cap or use the OpenGL renderer (Compatibility+ in Godot) might be better?
Great to hear that you liked it.
We will add an option for turning on v-sync in our polish update after the rating phase is over.
Great Feedback.
Thank you very much.
Hi! Great game feel - very cyberpunky-stealthy - I love the vibe
Liked the sneaking option and all the little hallways - sometimes I was even forgetting that I am a ball and imagined some cool special agent or smth
Looks amazing and feels great. Good job!
Thank you very much.
Great to hear that one can get lost in it that way.
Cool light tricks, neat idea, addictive gameplay. Well done.
Thank you very much.
Great idea! The lighting mechanic is very atmospheric. The gameplay is intuitive and the game feels cohesive.
One note: currently, if you press Ctrl but remain stationary, the light intensity corresponds to the "crouch" mode. This feels slightly confusing, as one would intuitively expect the glow to be weaker when the character is standing still (even in a crouching position).
Otherwise - huge respect!
Glad to hear that you liked it.
Yeah we were not sure how to handle the light switching exactly. I think we will check it against its velocity to get rid of it while sitting idle.
We will have to think about that it bit more.
Great feedback.
Really good game overall. The graphics are great and the game is really original. The main thing I would say is that the theme is only superficially there, but apart from that it’s a really good game
Thank you very much.
So glad you enjoyed it!
I love seeing a 3D game made in godot! I also think having a ball style movment with a twinstick shooter made for some very interesting game play!
We love Godot too. And speaking of "twinstick": The next patch after the game jam will definitely implement gamepad controls. Thank you for playing our game, means also a lot to us. :)
Nice! A stealth game with simple objects rolling with a ball and avoiding triangles is a smart idea and feels refreshing, also using light as hint for detection is a good idea.
Other areas could use a bit more indication or feedback like interacting with the energy biscuit, being able to shoot and where to escape afterwards
Thank you very much. We are glad you liked it.
This was our first attempt at a full game.
We agree it is not always clear what to do.
We will make a more polished Version after the rating phase of the jam is over.
Thanks for the feedback.
Hey I can't run the game.
is this for my low system
Maybe. We havent tested it with integrated graphics. I will check that.
Is there some Error Message or does it just not start?
I tested it on a lower spec laptop with integrated graphics and it ran quite poorly. less than 40 frames without enemies on screen. So lower end hardware might be the issue.
We might add support for lower end hardware after the rating phase of the jam is over and when we are allowed do upload newer versions again.
I am sorry for that. we will think about that earlier the next time.
Thank you for the feedback.
I think it's beacuse my system can't run vulkan.
my CPU is very very low
That might be it then.
I will look into what we can do to support older hardware or if there are fallbacks to OpenGL in place. We still need to learn more in that regard.
I can not promise to make it run on all hardware. 3d ist still demanding.
Thanks again for your Feedback.
Pretty cool game! really liked how the light energy detection mechanic, pretty fun. Thought, I will say that the act of extracting the energy could use more polishing. Like, my first playthrough I just extracted a lit bit just to shot the enemies, and I didn't realized I had to extract everything. but overall a very fun game!!
We agree, we have to flesh that out a little. For now we edited the game page to make that clearer.
After the rating phase of the jam, we will give the game a polishing update based on all the feedback.
Nice to hear that you liked it and thank you for the feedback.
Pretty neat game. Controlling the ball is fun, and the enemies feel fairly balanced, though maybe a bit too easy to avoid. Adding stamina or limited bursts of speed could make movement more engaging. I like how you worked your energy biscuit into the theme, it’s a clever touch. It would be great to have some visual feedback when interacting with it, though.
Thank you for the Feedback. We will try some stuff out after the voting Phase ended. Did you hold the Right mouse Button down? We did Not clarify enough that it should be a hold Not a Click. There should be an Exchange of Color over time.
Oh right, i think i was clicking it, my bad.
The visuals is good. I also like the music and visuals. The gameplay is overall pretty fun. Finding the Energy-Biscuit is pretty difficult, and could not see what happen when i right mouse clicked. But overall a pretty well made game. Well done.
Oh, we missed to say that you need to hold the Right Mouse Button. Should be obvious then. Will add that info to the page.
For the Biscuit, it makes a ping sound you can follow (gets louder the closer you are) if you want to try it again later.
Thank you for the feedback.
what is this?! This is so cool! This game is really interesting.
Thank you so very much.
this is so cool great game i love the art and sound to and the controls are so smooth 10 out of 10👍😁
Thank you very much.
