How does the game fit the theme?
The owners think that nothing could go wrong getting a hamster as a pet, but the player must prove them wrong
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I followed some online code tutorials and some of the assets were from Adobe stock.

The way hamster died for each level is so fun. I beat all of them, but my star isn't perfect. I have to try again sometime.
Pretty good adaptation to the theme. I really enjoyed the mechanics (eg standing up to jump higher).
I would have liked a bit more levels, but given you only had a week of time, it is fine :D
Maybe a tip for future games: Try to use an alternative key than ESC for pausing (full screen web export players will thank you :) )
Well done.
Thank you for your feedback! I had originally planned on making 2 more levels but I decided to stop at 4 when it was 3 AM the night before the jam. I hadn't thought about the escape problem because it was my first time making a web game but I definitely realized the issue when I submitted it. I'm thinking about continuing the game after the jam so there might be more levels in the future! Glad you enjoyed it!
Poor hamster. It was clever to make hamster character to change pose. Game has many actions which makes it rich with options to do. Good one!
Cool platformer, I like the creative endings you came up with! My main feedback would be to make sure you keep elements within the game consistent, e.g. if a type of floor lets you pass through the bottom of it then it should always allow you to do this (and if you don't want it to then give the player some visual indicator of this different behaviour by changing the colour/texture). This can really help the player experience as they are able to more intuitively traverse the levels.
The art is absolutely stunning! The animations and controls felt incredibly smooth. I honestly couldn’t tell whether to laugh or cry as the poor little fellow met his demise over and over again... but I couldn’t stop playing!
It's a really funny game. I really enjoyed playing as a hamster :) the fact that you have to change between running and walking is cool ! Well done.
This game is cool. It and Nine Lives Too Many are similar in the goal being to kill a pet. I didn't explore it myself, but I can tell there's seriously a lot of potential for speedrun like you intended between standing and running on all fours. I felt as though the colliders were a bit weird and required you to switch stance in weird positions (in the pipe thingies mostly), but its understandable, I can see switching stance being somewhat jank to make. Great job, you should be proud!
Can our hamsters be friends? :D
Cute game! The ball mechanic was fun, and the hamster tunnels have a lot of potential for cool level design! If you get around to tuning how the movement and wall climbing feels , I can see the potential for making a really great platformer from the mechanics and level design that were established here. Loved the light-hearted atmosphere and the tragic humor.
Great work!
Love the game! It is awesome in every aspect of this game..but prefered if the hamster lived
Great game! The concept is cool, and the gameplay is enjoyable. I liked the sound design, as well as the level with the ball.
Poor hamster :( but it was a very fun game and I love the speedrunning aspect to it. I had a great time creating speedrun routes to finish the levels as fast as possible!
Good fun! Love the idea of escaping and being put back in the cage.
