Fun incremental game, but the progression and mechanics are a bit vague :)

Good job creating this game :]

Simple but unique gameplay loop :)

To me, having more infinite decimals on screen made it actually harder though :D

Interesting take on the theme.

The polish and game feel is pretty good.

Well done :D

Really impressive and polished game given you’ve only had a single week of time!

I felt very invincible until I got oneshot in wave 15 or so :D Some additional hurt feedback would help, or make it more clear if you are very low on health.

Very good job :D

I liked the atmosphere you created. It really feels like you are on a different planet (I mean moon :))

The gameplay is a bit simple, but given the time you had to work on it, that’s fine. Nice that you were able to put this together for this jam, well done :)

I really enjoyed this one.

At first the controls feel very very floaty, but being a dust sprite it kinda makes sense. Each mechanic is thought in a very clever way: a simple, yet effective “puzzle” to return back to the main world. The mechanics also work pretty well together.

Often I was like, no, I cannot make that jump, but then I tried, and it was possible :D My only feedback for this game would be to re-iterate on the movement feel a bit. This is probably something tricky to get right without losing the dust-personality controls

Played all the way to the end (what a cute ending) Very nicely done :)

Really liked this one. Each time I completed a request of a customer, I was looking forward to know what personality would walk in the office next :D

Very good visuals and sound design! The reviews you get when you just missed something are so harsh haha, luckily it did not affect the rating that much :D

Very well done :)

Two games instead in one? Very nice :d Both games do not really blend together, they are entirely separate, but thats ok. You really have to zoom in the page to be able to see anything lol :D

The platformer mechanics where a bit clunky from time to time, but I managed to play through all the levels and repair my ship.

Amazing job, two games in one week, that’s crazy :D

Pretty interesting concept. Nice coherent art. The gameplay is a bit simple, but that’s to be expected for a one week game jam :)

Did the torch have some mechanic to it? Or was it just a nice visual addition when under water? That I did not fully get.

Nonetheless a good entry to the jam, and kudos for making this from scratch with only love and JavaScript :D

Very cute game. I liked the turn based combat. Unfortunately, in the last level, my turn was not ending so I was just beat up by the captain :D

The indicator for selector enemies was not so visible though.

Good job :)

Fun game. I liked the visual style you went for :)

Also nice that you were able to create a couple of different levels with different enemy types, that really spices things up a bit.

One point of feedback: in the flying part, it is sometimes hard to estimate whether you are already past a fuel pickup/asteroid or not due to the perspective.

Overall pretty solid entry, well done!

Interesting puzzle concept with a few tricky puzzles at the end :D

I liked the level progression, difficult scaled pretty smooth and gameplay was slowly introduced to the player.

I did not immediately find the link with the theme. Unless….

I found a bug where pressing undo in a freshly restarted level let you also undo steps of the previous level(s). Nothing major breaking, but pressing undo enough times brings me too some pretty strange places :D image.png

Nonetheless, a very solid entry to this jam, with a nice amount of levels, well done :)

Thanks for trying out our game and the kind words! Also good bug find. You can always zoom out such that the button no longer overlaps with the planet as a workaround.

Nice looking game.

I agree with the comment that sometimes the teleportation feels a bit arbitrary. You do get the hang of where you go for some of them after a while though.

Controls are really snappy which is nice. Unfortunately, I got stuck a couple of times, luckily there is a restart button ;)

Good job finishing this in one week :D

Very cool graphics in this game.

Gameplay was simple yet interesting. I agree with other comments saying some additional feedback on attacks would be nice.

But this a game jam game, and the amount of stuff you were able to do in one week is amazing, good job :)

I like these types of games, played it to the end :)

Very nice artwork and cool interesting ship upgrades.

Controlling the ship after launch was kinda hard though. It did not really feel like I was able to control the ship that much to avoid obstacles.

Also a good use of the theme. Well done :D

Really nice game.

Art style is very coherent and beautiful. At start, it is a bit overwhelming to get all the item recipes and having to remember them, but after some time you learn them and know quite good what you want to collect.

I think the game is a bit missing a stronger lose condition: losing your hunger does not do much besides losing speed, and the day lasts a bit too long for it to really matter. But that is just a balancing aspect.

There is quite a bunch of mechanics already in the game: gathering, crafting, upgrades… all in a beautiful environment.

Very good job :)

At first I did not fully understand what the “eye counter” meant. After two quick loses I figured out this is a turn countdown before which you have to meet the objective.

Once you know that, and you find out the combos you can make this is pretty fun to play. The art is very clean, consistent and polished, really liked that. There is plenty of possibilities with the simple rules each location has.

Very nice job, I expect this one to score pretty good in the end ranking :D

Nice looking art, but some essentials are missing (like audio, other enemy types…)

Good job getting a project done in only one week of time though!

Game looks pretty cool.

The map is a bit too large I think. I was not able to find everything to photograph :( I would also suggest to lower the camera sensitivity, and not allow it to fully spin around as it was hard to lose track where it was pointing at (potentially this is better with a controller though).

It’s crazy how you where able to put this together in just a week of time, good job!

Cool looking game, and all procedural, very nice :D Gameplay was simple but polished, the entire game was pretty polished.

One small annoyance though: pausing note of the music in the dialogue really hurt my ears with the high ringing tones some times.

The theme is perfectly applied.

Also, I swear I’ve seen the some of the same things before when closing my own eyes… :D Very cool entry in this jam. Amazing job.

Pretty cool concept, but hard to learn how to control. After a while I got the hang of it and was able to complete the level.

One of the cooler game ideas I have seen so far, good job :)

Kinda funny :D

Regular movement is kinda slow, but the dash makes up for that.

I also do like the absurdity of the game.

Short little platformer game, nice.

To me the gravity mechanic was a bit confusing at first. I think I got the hang of it after a short while though. Other point of feedback: Jumping often felt a bit unforgiving: you really have to fully be fully on the ground to be able to jump. Often, platformers allow for a short time after leaving the ground to still jump (called coyote jump).

Other than that, the game is really polished for a 1 man project and only a week of work. I also found the changing gravity as a mechanic quite fun.

Overall a good job :]

Simple concept that works quite well.

It would be nice if you could see your score going up while playing, but then you lose a bit the factor of surprise at the end of course :D At some point I almost ran out of space.

I got to 44 btw image.png

Well done :]

Cute game, I liked it.

Its simple but charming :) One time I got stuck in between the open fridge door and the obstacle, but luckily there is a retry level button.

I also liked the blocky movement as it felt more bird-like :D

Good job :]

You were able to set a really nice atmosphere in this game.

For me personally, there was not enough gameplay though.

One bug I found is that you can chain jumps (aka jump is “queued” when pressed in mid air), probably you forgot to check that the character is on the ground before allowing the player to jump.

Good job, especially given this is you first game jam entry!

Thanks for the feedback.

Robot controls indeed can feel a bit difficult at first.

If you gathered all resources, take a second look at the “launch button” it should change into a different button (unless it is bugged, feel free to tell me in that case if you were to retry).

Nice entry in the jam.

Graphics are looking amazing. This is a short, but really polished game for only 7 days of time.

Most people already gave similar feedback, but here are the things I found most important to share:

  • Grappling mechanic feels a bit irresponsive, or janky from time to time.
  • While there is a browser build, I couldn’t run it unfortunately (I did play the windows version without any problems)
  • Sometimes you have to wait for your horse, killing the pace of the game a bit too much
  • The level of polish on everything is top notch (UIs, loading screens, graphics…)

I’ll probably retry this after a while to see if I can get a better score :D Good job

Nice coherent game. Haven’t noticed any bugs while playing.

I liked the different mechanics, but it felt a bit unfair that a pickaxe would both consume the pickaxe and a point of your dash meter.

Good job creating this fully from scratch!

Game has a good spooky atmosphere.

Bit unfortunate of the mouse lock bug, but luckily I also read the itch description which contained a fix that worked :]

I agree with the other comment that the intro sequence should be possible to skip, at least after you’ve seen it once.

Another suggestion would be to have some kind of UI element that shows you how much food you still need to grab.

Well done :)

Nice game fitting the theme well.

I really like the decisions you can make and how it impacts the happiness meter. You did miss a pun though: mock-octopus, more like mocktopus :D

While pretty simple in terms of gameplay, I enjoyed playing it, well done.

Nice story fitting the theme.

The gameplay was a bit short in my opinion though. I did personally not really need the dodge roll mechanic, but cool that you were able to implement it :)

I really enjoyed the music too, very good job :)

I had to re-read the text a couple of times to get the hang of it, but figured it out after a while.

A tip for tutorial text: maybe show only one piece at the time and let the player click through it, that makes it easier to digest ;)

The graphics are nice and consistent, I liked the style. Also good fit for the theme (but maybe I say that because we have a slightly similar approach to the theme :D)

Well done :}

Simple but effective gameplay, I liked it.

The environment looks really nice. Maybe an additional enemy type would have spiced up the gameplay a bit more?

The game feels really polished already. Good job :}

Amazing visuals.

I was not able to play through the full game though, I always was beat up very quickly :( Maybe I was just unlucky with the organs I received.

With some balance and some improved UX, this could become a nice game.

Good job :)

Interesting concept and fitting the theme pretty good, well done.

Game was a bit hard for me though… I couldn’t defend myself while cooking all the time because a continuous stream of monsters came at me.

Art looks amazing and polished. Well done :)

The atmosphere is really good. I hope you can still fix the nasty crash within the grace period, and then I’ll come back and retry.

:}

I really like these type of games. The main mechanic plays pretty good.

Didn’t play through the very last level entirely because it is huuge, takes long even when you’ve fully maxed out your upgrades :}

Visibility on the clouds is difficult though: you cannot really anticipate on steering towards a good or bad cloud.

Overall, very well done :}
