How does the game fit the theme?
The main character Myrtille is frustrated to be very little paid and decides to add more flames to the fire to earn more money. Obviously, things will get out of hand!

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Some of the pixel art of the isometric map comes from our previous game jam game, Takn It All. We also used the code from Takn It All for main features like menus, and the tilemap.

How many people worked on the game?

Cool game! I loved the visuals and the smoothness of the gameplay! I had some stuttering in the web version, but nothing too worrying. Nice done!

Really awesome game! i love the artstyle and music!!

i also love the idea that you make the fire and then have to extinguish it i enjoyed it a lot :)

Neat idea! I loved the visuals and the audio was quite nice too. The integrated tutorial was a great touch and so were the key bindings in the settings (cuz I felt right click for hose was a little unintuitive for me lol). However I didn't really need to use the flamethrower cuz the flames were spreading too fast at the start... I ended up scrambling around to put out fires the whole time instead. Still, it was pretty fun and I got to 5413 in the end.

The game is amazing!!! Everything about it is perfect—the visuals, the sounds, the gameplay. I really enjoyed it. It’s definitely a game I’ll come back to

I’d be grateful if you could check out the game I worked on during this game jam (I was responsible for the 3D)

Really cool concept

The game is very cool i like it! it was kinda hard at first bc the fire started somewhere random and it got everywhere but at end it was fun and the gold was going very fast like +100 per second. it would be nice if there was a sprite for using the firehose and flamethrower! one more thing is that i didnt use flamethrower and i didnt know why would i! i got 5800 score idk if thats high. Nice game!

Developer

Thank you so much for your feedback ! Actually, the fire spawn is not random (there are 2 fires near to the entrance), so on your next game you can take them out very quickly, and then use the flamethrower to control what's burning. 5800 is not bad at all for a first game ! GG!

Great game! The idea is so unique and interesting. I really like the premise of the game and the upgrades are implemented in a very smooth way! The art is great, the isometric tileset reminds me a lot of Project Zomboid, and I really like the powerwasher-looking fire hose! The game is very polished and so much fun! It fits the theme really well. I think I'll come back to replay this after the jam, good job!

This means so much to us ! Thank you so much for your comment 💜

This was a lot of fun. It's such a straightforward game-loop, but incredibly satisfying. Awesome job!

Really fun game with incredibly high replayability when you have so many options to upgrade! Sometimes the water sound is cut midway.

Fun, would be nice to have a minimap though

Developer

you can zoom out by scrolling, it's not as useful as a minimap but it's there ;)

I really enjoyed playing your game! Really well done, nice visuals, nice audio, great concept! Definitely one of the nicest entries I've seen so far!

What a clever idea for the theme! I enjoyed playing the game, although it took a couple tries to try and figure out the money/score mechanics. I got up to 3849 points by lighting a big fire, then scrambling to put it out until my upgrades let me douse it faster than it spread. I ended up with 19 units of fire somewhere on the map at the end, it would be nice to have a little minimap or radar to show where the active fires are at, and to help me not get lost.

Developer

Thank you for your nice comment! we didn't have time for adding a radar, but you can zoom out with your mouse to have a better view of the map ;)

One of my favourites so far, addictive, tight and replayable

Thank you 😄

This is the type of cozy game I wanted, one in which I can set the world on fire! I know that was probably not the intention, but I actually felt pretty chill as the house burned down.

We are those who just want to watch the world burn ðŸ˜ŒðŸ”¥
