Really fun! Great job. Not sure if I couldn't just find the right button for it but would've loved access to the 'options' during the game to change the sensitivity. But overall, I had a fun time playing it!

Dang I really liked this one, played till I got to 60k. Great controls, fun slide, crunchy sounds, and nice retro graphics. Felt like old school Duke Nukem, especially with the voice clip at the start. Wish there was more of those voice lines and more rooms, but I get the time constraint.

The only issues I had were the shotgun felt too inaccurate and had too much recoil so I just switched back to the pistol. And ones of the cops in the shotgun room had a hard time coming down from the ledge. Great work overall!

Never did find who asked

Daaaaaaamn that's good! I've rarely seen such crisp and fun movement in a jam game before, I had a blast sliding around and shooting cops (in a video game =p). When devs try to make fast-paced games during a jam, it's always too fast, to the point it's just impossible to play correctly. Not you, you managed to perfectly hit the correct spot between "fast" and "fun"!

The graphics are really nice, the sound design is awesome, with the little voice acting that makes all the difference, the concept is awesome, the controls are perfect (the sensitivity slider is a huge plus), and... It's just fun! Sliding on an upwards slope to bounce in the air to air-shot the cops and landing in the middle of the pack of money felt just AWESOME. Congratulations, you can be proud of the result!

Thanks for the feedback! A lot of thought was put into how the game would flow, so I'm glad that worked out in a way you found enjoyable!

Fun game! solid movement, the sesitivity is a bit high - had to set it to 20% for it to be good, and ther should be more feedback when you get shoot but nonetheless grat job!

yooo i love the slide mechanic! good job!

I raised $42600

was really fun.

A local multiplayer variant of this game would be good.

I enjoyed it quite a lot aside from the sensitivity and movement.  It felt disorientating after a slide so I resorted to jumping while dodging attacks. It's not a huge deal as the game was intuitive and most importantly, fun. Great work!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback on that! Sliding was possibly the most complicated mechanic to add in to the player's controls, so any suggestions on how it could have been improved are greatly appreciated!

The way the doors open are cool although the controls are so slidey, I ended up lost in the doors a few times

Cool game! Real challenge. Controls are fast, unexpected. And cops are hard to beat.

But funny, hard, awakens greed for all that cash )))

And the doors itself - real nice! How they fall - love it! )))

Congratulations!

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed the game! And hey, all the cash you collect gets totaled and saved on the title screen, so maybe that greed could get even bigger?

I liked how wild some of the rooms were. It's funny and kind of jarring being in what looks like a normal bank but then opening a door and finding yourself at the top of some comically large room that wouldn't make sense to have in a bank.

I appreciate the volume and sensitivity settings.

The combat felt a little clunky

I had fun with this! I like that I could use the doors as shields if I pushed them around with my shots just right!

The low-poly pixelated style with the crunchy low-bit audio effects were lovely! This is a small thing, but I really appreciated how the doors just flung off as you walked through them hehe. Thanks for creating this!

Very fun, I liked the sliding and jumping mechanic. Only gripe I had was the colliders on things, bullets would hit the air around objects alot. Other than that, solid game!

I really like the idea for this game, and the goofy vibes are very strong, especially with the duke-nukem style voice line at the start. I also adore the UI work, the little animation that plays when you first enter the bank is very well done and adds a lot to the tone of the game. The feeling of grabbing the loot was also very well done, and I like how there was some variety in them (and how you can kill people for it lol).

The movement is pretty good as well, and you really can't go wrong with a dash-jump and shotgun jumping. I will say that the low FOV made it difficult to get a good sense of my surroundings, especially when i go super speed with the dash. It also took me a while to realize that shift in air would do a slam, so that probably would have helped me earlier.

I would say the difficulty is a bit too high (could always be a skill issue of course lol), at least considering how much time you have to reach the end. There's an interesting aspect to how you have to decide how much time to give to each room before moving on with the heist, but I wasn't ever able to get a sense of this because I always died way before the timer even got close to being done.  I think a lower difficulty combined with a shorter timer would let the heist part of the game shine more, since the player could do a few runs at first to start getting a sense of how quick they should go. At the moment, it seems like the difficult boomer shooter and heist game are at odds with each other, when I think they could work together to elevate them both.

The gunplay can also get a little frustrating since there is no indicator when you've gotten hit except for the number at the top silently stretching (amazing animation btw). A sound or screen effect would have helped a lot in letting me know if I got hit. It was a little bizarre that the gun doesn't aim straight at close range, but honestly I got used to this and it added a quirky charm to the game.

Thanks for the feedback, if this ends up getting any updates I'll be sure to keep what you've said here in mind!

It took some getting use to. But then I had a blast. Almost had 38k dammit!

The mouse control is quite hard. Or it's just me, because I'm just bad at shooting game. I'd played several times and only managed to pass the first door. It's a fun game, and the sliding looks cool.

Developer

I believe its been discovered that we may have a camera controls issue that only effects certain  devices in our build, I'm so sorry if this is what occurred for you, but thank you for taking the time to try and play the game anyways!

Nice game concept, and the game is good too.

I loved the slide-jump! Surprisingly tricky game, but the room variety kept things interesting.

Submitted(+1)

The sliding mechanic was very satisfying, would have loved a wall run/jump.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, and I'm glad you enjoyed our sliding mechanic, a lot of work was put into the movement systems!

Submitted(+1)

Really fun! So high energy and ridiculous. And I loved hearing "Don't care, didn't ask!"

I did find the movement on the mouse a little hard to control at times, but I think that just added to the challenge.

Nice work! Good luck with the jam!
