Very cool. I loved the art work and the sound and music. And nice work incorporating the mouse only controls. Really solid entry.

Cheers

Fun game. I liked the retro graphics.

Sometimes the bullets came out the other end of the screen. I don’t know if that was intentional, and I found the SFX of the bullet a little piercing on the ears. I think a slightly lower tone would have been nice. But I’m nitpicking. Nice little game!

Very cool game. Loved the style, the look, the use of the theme. Very cute game.

Nice work. I loved the snail timer. Very cute. And all the graphics and animations were great.

I did find falling to be really frustrating, but only because the movement was so slow that to get back to where you were just took a long time. I think the arrow growing a little faster would be nice, and maybe some way to just walk left and right instead of always having to jump. It made getting to the edge of a platform feel really slow.

Overall though, nice game jam entry. Good work.

D

Nice. Super fun. Looked great. Solid entry.

I do think I would have preferred keyboard movement and just using the mouse to shoot, but I know that was one of the diversifiers, so kudos for pulling it off. Nice work.

Good luck with the jam.

Nice game. Looked great. There were a few glitchy moments getting stuck in the floor, etc... but it was overall really smooth. I didn't like that jump was also used for grabbing the vines. I never really got used to it. Other than that, great game.

D

Cool. Old school. Loved the sound and the controls were just hard enough to make it challenging. nice.

Good luck with the jam!

Nice arcade vibes. Reminded me of that level in the ninja turtles game. Nostalgia was running high.

Nice work!

D

Really cool puzzle game. And I love chess. So I'm here for this game. Love it. Nice work.

D

Very cool. I use Construct 3 too! I've never tried a 3d game in it before. Nice work. smooth gameplay.

D

Very cool. Was the level supposed to automatically progress? I had to keep hitting escape to move ahead. It felt weird.

Other than that. Super cool.

D

Wild. Very funny.

I do wish there was more of a buffer zone around the play area so you could drag the mouse down easier. The music was intense. The whole game had a kinda punk-rock-damn-the-man feel, and I'm here for it.

Nice work.

Fun little game. Very stressful!

I do wish here was a game over sound/music thing. The sudden silence was jarring.

Great game.

D

What a great game. Played through the whole thing, paid off my dept with $2700 on top of it. So fun!

I hope you keep working on it. The game itself was easy to win, I never felt like I wasn't gonna win the race, not with all those steroids! But I had a lot of fun growing, and racing. Very fun entry. High on my list for sure. Nice polish too!

D

Very cool. I was not expecting that to be so fun. Well done hitting every diversifier and creating a super playable and enjoyable game.

Crushed it.

Good luck with the jam.

Really well done game. Mechanics worked great. The art was super adorable, the sound was excellent, and everything was very well polished. I do think the mouse only diversifier actually worked against the game. I think if I could control the dog with the keyboard it would've been a lot more fun. I found the endless clicking of the mouse more annoying than it was worth. But otherwise, solid entry. This is high up in my rankings for sure, just for the pure polish.

Well done. Good luck with the jam.

Very cool game. I liked the use of the coins to lure the runner and move rocks. It did feel a little hard to lure them left and right though. I don't know if I ever got a handle on the AI of the runner, but I had a lot of fun!

Nice work.

D

I loved the mechanic of the gun moving you. Makes for some fun platforming.

I did find the levels a little confusing. Maybe make the first level a super simple: "press this button. Go through that door." And make the final door or end point a little clearer.

Overall though, super fun game!

Loved it! I just wish the levels were a little more challenging and that some of the characters were more useful. I don't think I ever hit anyone with one of the guys.

But very nicely made game.

Good luck with the jam!

nice little game. I also would've appreciated some sounds, but that's game jams for you... sometimes you just gotta crunch.

Well done though. Good luck in the jam!

D

It kept crashing on me... but that's because I'm on a Mac and playing in the browser. But from what I played. Awesome game. Great art. Super cool! I wish my computer was better... I'm not holding that against you. Nice job well done.

D

Very cool game. I love escape rooms, I haven't build a video game version of one yet... but why not? This was very inspiring.

I think if you gave it some polish it would be a cool game. Loved the puzzles.

D

Very cool. I loved the little comic at the beginning... So beautiful. Great art.

And I liked the concept of the game. The endless runner with puzzles in between. I mean, I hated the bug swatting one, but I think that's all part of the challenge of the game. (those stupid bugs! ARGH!)

:)

Overall, super well done. You should be proud.

Good luck with the jam.

Fun little game. Nice use of the mouse control diversifier. It was a fun mechanic.  I loved the eating animation.

Well done.

D

Very cute. Nice and simple controls, lovely look. I did find it didn't quite respond perfectly to my mouse movement, or at least not as perfect as I wanted. But that just added to the challenge in the end.

Thanks for the game. Good luck with the jam.

Oh, and yes! The trick is to intentionally lose life to make up time.

Thanks!

I was worried the game was too easy, because I kept ending with 57 seconds, but I figured easier is better, and it turns out that a lot of people die on their first run. Which feels right. Die on the first run, crush it on the second.

And yeah, the hit boxes need some tweaking, or having a check on corners to push nudge character in the right direction to avoid those little catches. Great feedback. Thanks!

Good luck with the jam.

Yeah, I think I didn't make the checkpoints obvious enough. If you hit the beds when you lose all 9 lives you restart at the last bed you touched. But when the timer runs out you do start again at the beginning.

Thanks for the feedback, and for playing!

Very cool concept. My movement got stuck at some point near the edge of the board, and the Bishop also got stuck and stopped moving. Otherwise, very cool game. Can’t wait to see what else you create!

D

Nice little platformer. I liked the enemies following your path, made for some fun things to think about it.

Good luck with the jam!

So cool. I loved the movement style. Super inspiring. Nice work.

D

Excellent game. I loved the puzzles. The graphics were simple, but effective. Very well done.

Cheers,

Good luck with the jam!

Very cool idea. Super chaotic and fun!

Cheers!

Good luck with the jam.

Amazing game. I will admit, I couldn't figure out what the actual goal was. I loved the design, the aesthetic, the mood, the creepy things that chase you and pull you back, the hellscape surrounding the track. It was awesome. But after what felt like 10 minutes I still couldn't figure out what to do. If you want to drop a bigger hint I'd love to play it again. It felt like a piece of art teaching some deep philosophical lessons about life and the meaninglessness of it all... I call that a win even if there isn't anything else to the game. ;)

Nice work.

D

Really fun idea for game. I loved everything about it except for the mouse controls. I  wish I could have used the keyboard to steer... Kudos for implementing the mouse-only controls though. And I loved the aesthetic of the game.

I'm totally gonna make a crazy taxi style game one day now. Thanks for the inspiration.

D

Thanks!

Yeah, I realized I didn't implement arrow keys as an option... which is my bad. I just forgot.

And I bounced around the idea of the lives and time being linked, but I liked the 9 lives cat idea and the idea that as you play you have to make the trade off between life/time. But it's a good critic for sure.

Thanks for the feedback.

Good luck with the jam!

D

Oh, did you click the beds along the way? They act as check points if you lose your lives. If you run out of time, then you do start back at the beginning though.

Thanks for playing!

Good luck with the jam!

Thanks man! Out of curiosity, did you make it to the end? How much time did you have left? I'm trying to figure out if I made it too easy or too hard.

Cute game. I loved the use of the animal only restriction. Sea turtles racing past crabs and sharks.

Awesome. And the game play was nice and easy to get the hang of. Great work.

Good luck with the jam!

Awesome little game. I love the sounds and look of it. Nice work.
