I had fun smashing through all the waves of goblins. Audio was great. Fun music and sound effects. Hits felt great. Would have been even more fun with some more variety in the attacks and enemies as the difficulty ramped up. Nice work!

I loved the suspense.. it made me go through all the waves! And the hits were so juicy too! :D

The game is very intuitive and fun enough, the graphics very pretty and a lot of suspense in the end ahah

Cute lil game, with blob goblins, The game was quite challenging at the end, but I liked the sounds and the impact of the fight ^^

I enjoyed this game! It's not very complicated but fun anyway. On the last wave I used both my hands to press space, it was intense haha

Very cute game. The designs are really cute and Its really fun to clear the waves. The first waves were a little bit too easy tho, but nevertheless still very fun! Keep up the great work!

       Fun concept 😄

I like the game, but it could be a little more challenging and have a little more variety. Apart from that well done :)

never pressed space bar that much haha. Fun, but maybe could be a bit more challenging, the first 6 waves were too easy I think. Well done for the fun concept :)

Such a cute game! And please tell me what's behind the door! I beaten it to the end, as I can feel the difficulty curve really felt good!

Tho the music was a bit loud so adding a slider or soften the music and sounds would be nice. Also I had alck of new enemies it's nice to see a big one and a fast  tiny one, but I loked them more if they had a different sprite like a new enemy!

But very great game for this jam!

very fun game with good music

very fun, i wish there was more gameplay as it was pretty short and easy to beat, all in all tho nice graphics, simple gameplay and nice audio. you should consider adding more objectives, extra enemies or weapons to make the gameplay more complex and fun :)

Very fun to play, but you could have added more choices for the player. For example you could have added powerups that spawn a certain distance away from the door, so you would have to risk loosing to get them.

But overall fun game!

Great game but what was behind the door!!! By the way, I guess i broke my spacebar.

Great game, it really fits the theme how we don't get to know what's behind the door even after defending it.

I too made a somewhat similar game in the jam within the wave defense genre, but I took more of a roguelike approach.

I'm also in the jam, and I know with more time everyone has a list of things they'd like to add or wanted to add. I try to provide the listed feedback in a constructive form to highlight different perspectives as a player and to show that I indeed did play the game.

  • There is little incentive to venture out.
  • Can abuse just slightly being in front of the door by spamming the spacebar to winning the game
  • I'd consider adding a dash key with an energy counter and then adding multiple doors to defend. This will force the player to be more engaged. With solid level design there will be times the player must accept taking damage regardless
  • ^ if this is implemented the player could pick up regen health from particular enemies dying
  • The thumbnail was simplistic, BUT this was a very good thing. It stands out from a lot of the other thumbnails and drove me to check out the game.
  • I'd also add some audio jibberish when the players are talking or start the background music at that point

Your game fits the theme well. I liked the audio and graphics. My main point of feedback is movement speed: I feel like the character moves a bit too slow. Would be nice if there was some kind of dash to give another option to the player to move over the screen (the difficulty should be tweaked then of course :D)

Overall good entry to jam and congratz for finishing.
