How does your game fit the theme?
We decided to interpret the theme more metaphorically, where "What's behind the door?" is considered as "what's the hidden reality", while we also added the literal meaning by making it a dungeon crawler filled with doors.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
While we did most of the work we where helped by a tool called "topdown engine"

Cute and charming, great storyline and generally fun gameplay.  A few things I'd like to note, the postprocessing seems a bit over the top, particularly for the coins. I understand that it might be intentionally so to kind of hint towards the fact that this isn't real, but it honestly made me wince a bit every time I picked up a coin because it kinda feels like a cs/valorant flashbang. The dragon fight gets ridiculously easy once you realize that you can just spam left click as you actually hit the dragon's projectiles before they hit you which led to kind of an anticlimactic ending. I feel like adding a binding of isaac esque minimap could also help a bit, although that is just a minor suggestion. However, very well polished and a great experience overall. Good Job!

The twist and the artstyle are great. Good job !

Juicy! Also love the funny ending, quite the twist. Love the implementation of the tutorial that teaches the player everything they need naturally, well done it's not easy to pull off. I reckon you should try and test two versions of this game one where the player has the mouse aim and one without, I'd be very curious which one feels better to the player. All and all what an amazing submission! :D

Developer

Thank you so much! We really didn't think to that, but we'll try in a future build for sure!

Very juicy game! It was too easy to beat the dragon though, I barely moved around, so definitely some balancing is needed. Interesting ending, I like how it is foreshadowed by the dragon too.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, I do think that some balancing is needed, but we also found some players having to play the game 4 times before beating him. I am happy you enjoyed it.

Very fun game! I love the combat combos in the game a lot :) although the animation can make the attack a bit slow, I still had fun with it! Amazing graphics and audio too! Thank you for the fun ^^

Thank you for the feedback ^^

I liked the concept and there was a nice moment of realisation at the end of the game when you realise what it was about. The time before attack on the sword felt a bit unresponsive and made it hard to dodge attacks. But otherwise a really good entry.

Developer

Thank you, we'll try to fix

The game had great feedback effects and I enjoyed the music. Staying still while slashing threw me off a bit. But overall the game felt really good. (Also +1 if that was Eugene on the first achievement)

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, we'll try to fix the hit during motion ^^

Great game overal.

The effects when using sword give a lot of feedback to the player, this is the best part from my point of view.

I was left wanting to play some more, more levels would be nice.

Great ending also.

Developer

Thank you for you feedback ^^ We'll try to continue :D

Developer

The original plan had a much bigger world, but we didn't have the time we thought we had, I hope you enjoyed anyway what we have to offer

A great game, with a very good finish. It may have potential! Your FX are pretty cool and the game is very addictive!

Nice work! I love these kinds of games.

I do agree the characters movement controls were a little off, but it wasn’t a deal breaker, and I think some more character animations would help get me to care a little more about the character. THE DRAGON DESIGN WAS AMAZING!

Overall, lovely little game. Good luck with the jam!

"Because he is the hero the City deserves, but not the one the city needs right now. And we are pursuing him because he will endure because he is not a hero. He is the silent guardian and vigilant protector of the Dark Knight."

Nice visuals and sound. A good idea that can be developed into a full release.

Developer

Thank you so much, that's what we're planning to do ^^

Submitted(+2)

That was fun. I was wondering where that was going haha.
