Considering everything done by the team, and the progress that the game presents with new enemies and the story progression, this game shows a hellova feat!! The only issue I had was really the aiming system not really pointing to there the mouse pointer was. But, other than that: really well made!!
Nice artwork, you had me at zombie western!
Cool game! The art style is quite satisfying, and the sound effects are perfect. Just needs a slight adjustment on the aim system; it gets a bit annoying that it doesn't aim properly at the mouse position. Overall, great job!
Cool design and it's nice to see a story behind the game. Good job!
Really fun game with great graphics. The only problem for me was the aim system. It may be better with free 360 degree aim than an 8 direction. Also i didnt figured out how to disable the shop UI.
Backspace on Keyboard or B on controller.
I liked it, great character and sound designs
The shots were a little hard to aim. One playthrough I got the UI stuck when talking to the store girl.
Oh no! Do you remember what you did to get it stuck? I'd love to take a look at what went wrong.
I could not figure out what button to press to exit the shop, i mashed a couple of keys on the keyboard. I think maybe it was ESC that would let me control the character again with the shop still open, then I just figured maybe if i loaded the next day it would close the shop. I was wrong. :)
Backspace on Keyboard or B on controller.
Really fun game, and the art is really good.
If you have time check out my game.
I really liked the game design! The 8 direction shooting though felt kind of awkward to me - but the thematic of the lore felt really really cool. Great job!
Fun concept and a fun game!
Well done!
Fun game, I actually liked the 8 direction shooting, felt like as if I was really aiming for the targets. What I wanted to do from the start however was to leave the creatures break down the door, to see what happens :). Nicely done.
I found the game really fun and engaging! I really enjoyed the dialogue :-)! I'm not so great at skill based games, but it was pretty lenient by letting me restart from wave 1 for each night. I encountered a bug that prevented the shop menu from closing, even after I went back to the tent to sleep (though that may have just been my own fault for doing something goofy). Overall, super fun game with great lore!
fun game, wish it had 360 shooting but it is what it is, dialogue was nice, graphics were good, audio a bit lacking but gameplay made it all work just fine.
7/10
Nice wave shooter, 360 degree shooting would've been nice. I liked the idea of elemental damage, but mostly found myself using just silver or lightning for groups.
Like others have said, not being able to aim in all directions felt a bit weird, but otherwise this game is great! I especially loved the variety of enemy types. Overall, great job
Digging the eastern atmosphere with the Texas like soundtrack, the game looks really good and it plays super well
Variety of enemies and multiple waves which is really fun, but a bit slow, I would love it to ramp up in difficulty a bit more quickly
There's also the 8 way sprite with shooting that is really good, props to the animator, but I feel like if you add a mouse cursor to shoot make it not limited to 8 directions so that I can actually hit shots on enemies that I'm pointing at
Minor nitpicks though, that was a fun experience, well done!
Honestly the reason for the 8 direction lock is because of adding controller support. It was easier to get him to turn with the right stick locked in 8 directions. We had a lot of comments on our last jam project that said it was too hard so probably an over correction lol. Thanks for the feedback!
Oh, controller probably makes it easier, good point, so perhaps just a fix for the mouse then.
I totally forgot to mention, props for adding controller support for this! you don't see it a lot in gamejams, hence why I forgot I could use it
I tried with an xbox 360 controller and the aiming wasn't working at all. I don't have a qwerty keyboard so I can't use wasd, and the arrow keys were not supported either. I managed to finish the game with movements with the controller and aiming with the mouse but it wasn't ideal.
This game is pretty fun, the only thing that is annoying is that you can't aim in 360 degrees. The art is pretty cool.
Completely understand that. We made it aim based on the 8 directional sprite, but that could have been a mistake. Thanks for the feedback.
I tried to play the game, but the botton on the webGL game wont work ):
Did you try clicking on the screen after full screening? It seems to be working for me
I'll try ASAP
