How does your game fit the theme?
In my game the player always needs to know what items are in 2 rooms, so he should always know "what's behind the door(s)."
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes.

I can't pet the cat? 0/10
For real though, I had a good time playing this game. The game is essentially spot the difference, but the addition of the memory elements makes the game pretty interesting. The success streak mechanic and door locks add stakes to the choices and makes the game more challenging in a good way, reminds me of Exit 8. Also nice job on implementing the theme here, many games tend to focus on only doors but you managed to see 'what's behind' and mix it into the core gameplay.
My suggestion would be adding signs ( =, =/=) above the doors. Left and right seems a bit arbitrary and it takes some extra effort to memorize them, which is far from the core gameplay. Also maybe you could add more variations to each rooms as player progresses, such as different floor patterns, to keep the gameplay fresh.
Adding more variations was definitely on my todo list but I ran out of time. And you re totally right about the (=),(=/=) thing. Thank you for checking it it out 😁
My brain is melting! Very fun!
Great game, I can DEFINITELY see this being speedrunning material! I loved the graphics and I think the music fits the game pretty well, great work!
Thank you so much! Glad you liked it.
This was a great memory game. I'm a big fan of all the artwork. My only wish is that the doors weren't locked after you left and maybe by keeping them open you could add more items for a bigger difficulty ramp. Otherwise, I had a great time (also wished I could've pet the cat!)
Thanks for your input and for checking it out! 😁
Great work, it done in Jam duration.
Me too, can't hold all role at same time, the jam is shorty. Want to add something but time catching up. The random is hard. But after this, you can add more mechanic or polish it, good luck.
I enjoyed playing your game and I'm really glad that someone interpreted the theme as this memorizing concept! I had a similar idea myself but than did something else. :)
Since you asked for feedback I'll give my best provide some:
Hope the feedback was helpful!
Thank you so much. This comment is very helpful. I'm glad you enjoyed playing it. 😁
I'm also in the jam, and I know with more time, everyone will have a list of things they'd like to add or wanted to add. I try to provide the listed feedback in a constructive form to highlight different perspectives as a player and to show that I indeed did play the game.
Thank you very much this comment is very useful. 😁
Solid game! The gameplay is a little too repetitive for me, but it's fun!
I don't know if it's just my setup, but the background, and a few of the items are bright. I often entered the wrong door because some items are easy to miss at a glance.
Also, I couldn't pet the cat :c
Thanks for checking it out!
This was super fun and the art was so charming. Simple gameplay, but very enjoyable. I will have to take away points for not letting me pet the cats though... lol
Thanks for checking it out! 😁 Glad you liked it.
Getting lost can get fun :D never knew that , Thanks for letting me know i have some weird ideas inside me
Thank you very much for playing!
how u came to this idea haha , pretty interested to know the story
At first I wanted to make something like that scene from 'The stanley parable' where you can make a choice between doors but I wanted to make an endless game so I figured there should be a right and wrong door, and it only made sense that you should make a choice based on your surroundings. This was then the only idea that came to mind. And the game eneded up not being endless after all 😅
I see haha , from great motivation comes great games
I like the idea, to me it is clear what I need to do, it is remembering stuff that is hard :D
Maybe you could have made the rooms progressively more difficult? Eg. start with one item to remember, then two, then three…
No worries on your music, it will get better over time. I thought it was fine tbh :D
Good job in finishing something for this jam.
Thank you so much. I was definitely thinking about the increasing difficulty mechanic, but I kept going back and forth between wanting the game to be endless or not. And in the end the difficulty stayed the way it was intended for the endless game. Thanks for checking my game out!
4 stars in everything from me. nice work
Thank you so much 😁
The game is really cool, I liked it. Kinda hard to understand but fun ^^

I definitely should have done a better job with an explanation at the beginning. Thanks 😁
Game Got Confusing for me n player / boss art did not match for top down
Right. Tbh I figured the perspectives were clashing in the art, but I didn't know a better approach 😅. Thanks for your input.
