How does your game fit the theme?
Behind the door in every level, there could be ANY enemy (s). Even raid boss at the first level
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Code is all written by me. Basic sprites for graphics, dog image is from internet (credited properly). Sounds and music is also from internet (credited properly)

Nice rouglike!! I love the atmosphere, music and visual effects. Gives a really nice feel of action. Personally I think it would be cool if the bullets would shoot towards the mouse position. Would be nice if you also check out and rate our game! :)
Cool game. I like the vfx of this game. I think player can be auto attack.
Good suggestion though not for this game, because sometimes the recoil might endanger you if you always fire
That Arrowhead boss is tough, especially with the aiming controls. The game is pretty fun though and has great replayability.
A really cool game, I really liked the visuals and the audio was also really cool,
but sadly the character controlled after the keys, and not rotated to where the mouse is looking, wich would have made the whole game a lot better, but still very cool!!!
I'd like if you''d also rate my game :)))
Good elaboration of the details, I can separately highlight the display of health. Cool shaders and effects. It is disappointing that the topic has not been disclosed
The 2 black holes one?
Very fun! Loved the DVD room, and the simple but polished visuals and audio. Really liked how it shoots where the player is facing rather than where the mouse is. My only note is that I just instantly get sucked in and die whenever I get the black hole room (Played on the WebGL version if that helps!). Well done!
Were you spamming dash to get away from him? If so, I might need to adjust him
Oh my god, I didn't even realise there was a dash button! That's my bad haha, biggest skill issue of the century from me.
Fun fast paced challenges! The different encounters were unique and engaging, with the DVD player being my favorite lol
Fun design. I liked the paint theme and the funny bosses.
I agree with others it was kinda annoying to aim. I would've been happy if I could stop on an angle to shoot diagonally, but I had to keep moving or else I would go back to a 90º angle. I ended up just lining myself up and shooting in a straight line when enemies went past me. It made the smaller enemies more annoying to kill than hard to kill. It just took time, not skill. And I don't think that's what you're going for.
Smooth gameplay otherwise though, and I already said. I like the paintball theme a lot.
D
This is really cool, it looks great and some of the encounters are really fun and creative. That said I do think the controls let it down a bit, the idea of only shooting in the direction you're seems interesting in theory but for these bullet hell style bosses I mostly found myself backing up against a wall and staying still so I could reliably hit things, then taking every health upgrade I could to let me tank through more hits since dodging them meant not hitting the enemies.
You convinced me. I'll add it so that arrow keys aim, WASD moves. Or maybe even add mouse aim after the jam
Loved the goofy rooms like the dvd screen saver or missle launcher
Missile launcher is truly a feared DEMON
This game has a really cool design and mechanics! I think being able to shoot with the mouse rather than having to face the right direction would be awesome because the current control can be a little frustrating. But overall, very cool game! Great job :D
That is indeed an issue, limited to one of the 8 angles. I will add a mouse aiming control in future MAYBE. Im just more of a keyboard guy
The visual style and diverse range of enemies added to the experience. Great game
Good game! I loved the visual style and variety of enemies! I found the character controls to be unresponsive, but overall it was a good game. I think the game can live after the jam!
I tried about 9 runs and reached level 11, and although there are some good ideas and was fun, I had somes problems that annoyed me. Having to face where you're shooting, combined with the fact that some enemies move randomly when you shoot, makes some really annoying moments. The randomness is sometimes too random, in two runs I got the same fight 3 times in a row, the bonus on the left which seems to be the funniest, only appeared 4 times in total and sometimes after the first fight when you have not any money, i don't count when they appear at the start. It's hard to know when the boss "Spearhead" will charge, and often his movements are weird/unpredictable. the "Blackest Hole": the first time I encountered it, there were two of them and they were out of sight of the camera. I tried to outrun his attraction, but you can't, I tried to kill it before it killed me, but you can't, because you have to aim at it to be attracted more quickly and not have time to kill it, I'm very curious about how i'm supposed to kill it.. Bugs: 1 time I had a boss that didn't do anything, 2 times I had a boss that shot in the wrong direction during short times. The DvD logo hitted a corner perfectly, that couldn't have happened. (I'm kidding, it didn't).
The black hole is defeatable, you just have to spam dash away from it, I will admit 2 black holes are a bit too much, after the jam I'll make sure there's only 1 blackhole. Missile launcher and flamethrower are indeed buggy, I tried to solve it but couldn't under the game jam timeframe so sorry for that. As for the spearhead, I thought about adding a charge up animation, but that would have made it too easy imo. And many bosses have programmed to avoid bullets to the best of their ability. You have to either trap them, have multiple bullets upgrade, or have speedy bullets.
It's pretty fun. I do kind of wish that shooting was not tied to direction as the majority of the time I was just running to either side so I could actually get an angle to hit them, but it was still a great game. The side upgrades also I think were a bit broken for me? I only tried to get one of them and it took away the wrong amount of money from me, and I'm not sure it actually worked. They also stopped appearing at some point. Had a fun time though
Please tell more about how it was broken. I'll try to fix it
It was just the upgrades on the left that seemed to not work for me. Like on the third level I think, all I had on the left was "Fast Bullets" for like I think 120 or 100 cost, but when I clicked it, I lost 30 coins and didn't really notice a difference in bullets. Then for the rest of the game I had no upgrades on the left side.
it should double the speed of bullets and make them a bit smaller. I'm not sure why it happened for you, it worked the whole time for me
I understand what you were going for but the lack of a balancing curve kind of means you die kind of randomly, it feels like. Very cool game though!
i like brutally hard games so I projected that perhaps. Sowwy
Holy. This rocks. But i would love to have a better control scheme including a mouse. Was kinda hard to dodge and also do enough dmg, since you alway shoot in your move direction. Mouse look + LMB shoot would help a lot. Otherwise, the game design is tight. Really good entry to the jam. A bit light on the theme though. Dont forget to rate our game ;)
I intentionally shooted in the direction of moving to keep action alive. Running away from enemy and still shooting the enemy would make it boring imo.
Well, that's where you design your enemies to account for that. To me personally it felt a little sluggish because of it. But if you intended it that way, then who am i to judge ;)
Maybe there's some better way. I'll try to improve it
Very cool! It’s definitely the most polished one it this jam I have played yet! With improved graphics, and a WebGL version I could have seen this one placing top 10 in the jam. Great game!
man I also wanted to make it web gl, but async functions dont work in web gl. I'll definitely change the code to make it available for web gl
