There's some fun ideas in there but the lack of animation makes it a bit difficult to tell what's going on a lot of the time. Stuff like highlighting the character whose turn it is, animations and sound effects when you try to use a spell you can't afford and even just idle animations on the sprites would make it feel much more fluid and interactive. It would definitely be worth continuing to work on this after the jam!

I got stuck on the ice door, it feels like should be able to interact with something but not sure what. If it needs another password a hint would be nice.

I love the art but the hand reaching ahead of where you pivot made it a little unintuitive at the start. I also had a few cheap feeling losses because of the exit not showing until you've done everything so that what seemed like a valid solution failed because of hidden information. All that said though, I still had a great time, the puzzle design is fantastic and the whole thing has a very cohesive feel, well done!

Thanks for the feedback, in retrospect I definitely should've focused more on finding ways to work solution hints into the main gamescreen.

Thanks the the suggestion! I've added examples to the full spoiler.

Sorry to hear that, I've updated the full spoiler to be a bit more explicit and give examples.

Thanks for playing, and for the feedback :)

This was great! I had a bit of trouble with audio cues getting lost under the fire sounds so you might want to consider adding more visual feedback when you interact with something, but you did an amazing job given the timeframe!

I got it too! I think I was missing some audio cues because of the fire sounds.

This is an excellent suggestion, I've updated the description with a few hints and an outright solution, hope they help :)

Just checked the math, there ~140,000 possible combinations so I don't fancy your chances of brute forcing it, but the clues at the start of each go should help get you on the right track...

Very clever game, it gives a very satisfying 'aha' moment when you figure out the solution, well done!

Cool game, unfortunately I got stuck behind an open door but I could see the "Thanks for playing" screen on the other side of the wall it clipped me through so I'll count that as a win :P

Seriously though this looks great and feels great for the most part. The physics feel a bit off in places, I think largely because you don't conserve momentum so you come to a dead stop when you stop pressing a move button. This led to me undershooting a lot of jumps because I expected momentum to keep carrying me forward while I was in the air.

As others have said the gameplay feels a bit too RNG based to be satisfying but I love the art and music!

Very relaxing but it was hard to tell whether I was actually making any progress a lot of the time.

A cool concept and very impressive for a weeks work. Not sure if it was intentional but I found I could get through everything other than the hammer levels easier if I mostly ignored the cubes and just pushed the ball around.

I got 96! This was a fun little puzzle :)

I ran out of ideas at the same place, it looks like there's a panel by the door where we should be able to enter a code but it isn't doing anything for me.

Really well done, great job!

This is fantastic, the art style is great and some of the rooms gave a real laugh!

Sorry you had a bad time, the idea was to make learning to play a part of the game so there's not much we could put in a tutorial without spoiling the fun, all of the interaction is clicking and dragging and everything you need to interact with should be clearly visible.

This looks fantastic!

Really fun game! My one criticism would be that the spin animation takes a bit too long and breaks the flow a bit.

Thanks for the feedback, and especially for figuring out a great way to give it!

Hey, I actually managed to find a team, I'd recommend checking out https://discord.com/channels/243005537342586880/1005521893983539260 if you're still looking!

Hey guys, I'm looking for a team to collab with, would probably need art and sound resource as they're my weakest areas but also happy to jump in with other programmers/designers/writers/etc.

I've worked in software development for a decade and recently taken up game dev, have participated in 3 jams of varying sizes so far and learned a lot from each! My professional experience was mostly with Java but I've also picked up C# and Python, happy to work with any (free) engine or framework as long as it can export to web (I've found it's much harder to get ratings on download only entries).

Thanks for the feedback, art and music are definitely a weak point of mine but I'm glad you enjoyed the gameplay!

I've uploaded new builds, they should be functionally the same but I've tidied up the back end a bit and made the logging a bit more verbose. If you have time would you mind trying them and firing me the logs on discord if they crash again?

Great art and audio, took me a bit to figure out how to damage the boss but I got her in the end!

This is a fun little strategy/resource management game. It took me a while to figure out what I was supposed to be doing as the description wasn't very informative but I'm not sure if that was by design.

Had an issue a couple of times with not picking up an item on the list, think you may have a few items in multiple places and only be accepting one of them. If you're doing a full version I'd suggest adding visual identifiers to the items to make it a bit less heavy on reading, if you think that makes it too easy maybe have it so you can only have one list open at a time (either the shopping list or items on the shelves).

This is great, sprites are crisp and the audio gives good feedback. I really enjoyed getting my fire rate and damage upgraded to the point where I essentially had a death laser!

This is fantastic, the visuals are crisp and clear (although the font is a little hard to read on the small cards) and the audio does a great job of setting an eerie tone!

It looks great and the sound effects are nice! I got hit once when an enemy spawned on top of me but other than that it ran very smoothly, great effort!

I had another bug where I was always carrying a dish, made it a bit more difficult to tell what I was carrying but not a big issue. The audio and visuals on this are great and make it feel really good to play!

You might want to increase the scroll speed of the round at the start as it feels like it takes a long time to build up momentum. Moving up and down feels nice and responsive and the audio feedback is great!

Platforming feels a bit awkward because you don't seem to have jump buffering or coyote time but that's entirely understandable given the short development time, it's really impressive that you managed to get as far as you did,  good job!

This is cool, the visuals are great and it controls smoothly. the gameplay is fun for a few rounds but it would need a bit more complexity or hidden information to make it less easy to find a dominant strategy. Overall though it's a great effort for the time given!

For the linux build, could you try copying the folder Source/Cotent/XML to the Content folder under the top level? I run windows so I won't be able to confirm a fix myself

Thanks for this, I'll have a look into it in the morning
