There's some fun ideas in there but the lack of animation makes it a bit difficult to tell what's going on a lot of the time. Stuff like highlighting the character whose turn it is, animations and sound effects when you try to use a spell you can't afford and even just idle animations on the sprites would make it feel much more fluid and interactive. It would definitely be worth continuing to work on this after the jam!

I love the art but the hand reaching ahead of where you pivot made it a little unintuitive at the start. I also had a few cheap feeling losses because of the exit not showing until you've done everything so that what seemed like a valid solution failed because of hidden information. All that said though, I still had a great time, the puzzle design is fantastic and the whole thing has a very cohesive feel, well done!
Cool game, unfortunately I got stuck behind an open door but I could see the "Thanks for playing" screen on the other side of the wall it clipped me through so I'll count that as a win :P
Seriously though this looks great and feels great for the most part. The physics feel a bit off in places, I think largely because you don't conserve momentum so you come to a dead stop when you stop pressing a move button. This led to me undershooting a lot of jumps because I expected momentum to keep carrying me forward while I was in the air.
Thanks for the feedback, and especially for figuring out a great way to give it!

Hey, I actually managed to find a team, I'd recommend checking out https://discord.com/channels/243005537342586880/1005521893983539260 if you're still looking!
Hey guys, I'm looking for a team to collab with, would probably need art and sound resource as they're my weakest areas but also happy to jump in with other programmers/designers/writers/etc.
I've worked in software development for a decade and recently taken up game dev, have participated in 3 jams of varying sizes so far and learned a lot from each! My professional experience was mostly with Java but I've also picked up C# and Python, happy to work with any (free) engine or framework as long as it can export to web (I've found it's much harder to get ratings on download only entries).
Had an issue a couple of times with not picking up an item on the list, think you may have a few items in multiple places and only be accepting one of them. If you're doing a full version I'd suggest adding visual identifiers to the items to make it a bit less heavy on reading, if you think that makes it too easy maybe have it so you can only have one list open at a time (either the shopping list or items on the shelves).
