How does your game represent Mode?
In statistics, the 'mode' of a sequence of values is the most frequent value in that sequence. In this game, you need to change the modes of a bunch of sequences of numbers by inserting numbers at specific spots. Levels are won by having the mode of each sequence equal to a specific target mode.

Great once I figured out how the target mode was represented - an indication in the help screen would have helped but nbd.

Math puzzles are my favorite type of game! I love this so much!

This is fantastic, really clean and stylish, a fun concept implemented well. My only minor criticism is that the font is great for the number but a bit annoying to read for letters, not a big issue as there's very little I needed to read but something to keep in mind.

I haven’t played any picross-likes before, so it took me a second to really get it, but the puzzles were well made and approachable once you understand the mechanics. Great job!

Simple and smart design! I had a little trouble in the beginning figuring out what to do but once I turned my brain on, I was really in the zone. The music is really calming and I like that you can change to a night theme too.

Cool game!

Beat it in about 30 minutes! Very simple, and a very cool interpretation of the theme, kind of like how Witch Core interpreted it.

Rarely play this kind of sudoku-like game, so figuring out the optimal strategy wasn't easy, but patterns and concepts started to click as I went further. Some puzzles were easier than others and/or more susceptible to brute force, but overall there were more than enough times when you had to figure out the right move instead of just fill the numbers by feel. Black and White aesthetics are definitely my thing, and the music was pretty relaxing and fitting for a puzzle game.

Not much else to say - a simple, clever game with just the right mix of both. Congrats on finishing the jam in just 8 days!

Great game! Very cool to see mathematical mode represented as an interpretation of the theme! As an avid sudoku fan, I found this neat inversion of it to have a lot of wit behind its design. As others have pointed out, a visual indicator of complete rows/columns would probably be helpful to keep players organized visually. Other than that, though, I think this was an excellent entry!

This game is just so clean and nice and relaxing, couldn't help but feel like I was playing something nice before I went to bed on my DS or PSP. Every little sound and how snappy and simple everything was just really sold the vibe. I felt very big brain when I actually managed to figure it out. I would probably enjoy something like this for mobile.

Ended up figuring out a strategy. But then it failed me a few times. But I'm sure I was close! :V

Fun puzzle game, and hope you play mine too! :D

Wow, this is a really clever and interesting game! I really had to wrack my brains over solving these sequences. I loved the minimalist aesthetic in every aspect of the game, from the visuals to the sfx and music. Incredibly well done, great job!

Really good game design! I can see this being a great mobile puzzle game to pass time.

Wonderful game once you get the concept! Could be it's own picross or sudoku. Very well done.

Very interesting game. Remarkably relaxing. There's that moment where the concept clicks and I just want to keep playing through more levels.

Played all the levels, enjoyed the music, dark mode is king. Great stuff!

Well done!

Really creative take on the theme with really good presentation!

Simple, Sleek and very straight to the point, very nice game. Great take on the theme! I did get a bit visually lost on some of the larger levels with numbers like 2, 5 ,6 sort blending together, having to visually double take a lot did start to get a bit frustrating  but overall is a minor nit-pick in an otherwise flawless game. Amazing stuff!

Minimalist and super clean. I have always hated math but it didn't feel like a chore when playing this. Only suggesting would maybe be adding a couple more SFX? Help with the satisfaction levels

Elegant and relaxing puzzle game!

I know that only using two colours was a purposeful design choice, but I think it would have been nice to colour code the rows/columns that have the correct mode (especially in the larger grid levels, I found myself often not noticing that I was still missing one of the columns)

Great work especially on the level progression, some of the later levels get quite challenging

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I did consider using some colours to indicate whether the sequences were right or not fairly late into development, and decided I wanted to use some extra visual indicators instead to fit the style (like a filled/unfilled circle for each sequence) but unfortunately didn’t have too much time to implement it. Glad you enjoyed the game though.

Got till level 7 before my brain clocked out. Very well made minimalistic puzzle game. Loved the unique take on "mode" as a statistic rather than the usual interpretation.

Fantastic use of the theme, could never pin down a good way to use 'mode' as the statistical term - this was the answer! The puzzles had a good learning curve, each with an 'aha!' moment rather than me spamming numbers until it worked (which is an entirely viable strat). Eventually I did start to get overwhelmed with all the digits on screen, but all-in-all a very succinct concept!

This definitely has a ton of potential, simple games like this are the best. I think it was a little too easy for a while, where I could basically just look at the number that was required and press it.

Then once it moved to 2 dimensions (3 dimensions?) I immediately felt very overwhelmed. I think this has a ton of potential!

Still very fun and elegant as it is now though!
