Sure.

Impressive submission! Core mechanics are very fleshed out and everything is so deep it feels like something thats been maturing and in development for way longer than just two weeks. Perhaps a bit too much to take in in the beginning, but I learnt everything eventually just by playing. As others have said previously the tutorial could be better, but the mechanics definitely seem a lot more understandable in hindsight, so the core game itself is pretty much solid.

Sure! It’d have to be in text chat, though.

This is a fantastic little experience, the premise is unique and you’ve definitely done it justice. I adore the worldbuilding and narrative environment, the portrayal of ghosts and hauntings as this bittersweet/solemn facet of reality has always been my favourite interpretation of things. Both characters have a great dynamic, there’s a nice duality between idea of just carrying out another task as a part of your job, and something as significant as the acceptance or understanding of the afterlife, I really love that. Also, the song at the beginning is very, very beautiful. I think it mirrors the atmosphere of the game perfectly.

This is exceptionally well made and seriously addicting, I found myself reopening the game multiple times in the day just to do more runs - there’s a good variety of cards and relics, and a great deal of depth to the core mechanics that makes it really replayable. I think the adding/removal of dice (as well as the weighted dice) replaces a lot of the randomness with more skillful gameplay and makes things feel a lot more fair/controllable, which is definitely what you want for a game like this.

The only issue I encountered is that it’s possible to get into an infinite loop - I had a shield throw build, where my only attack was shield throw on mode 1, and when fighting the pyromancer (which gives you slowly increasing burns) I couldn’t attack, since all my modes were perpetually +1. Since the build was really strong I couldn’t die either, since I just kept getting more and more block.

That being said, this is one of the most fun submissions in the entire jam, as well as the one I’ve spent the most time playing. Fantastic job. Definitely has potential as a full game.

Awesome gameplay loop, perfect difficulty. The SFX and visuals are superb and add a lot to the experience, very well fitting.

Great interplay between the two card types, I think the discarding and manipulating of the dice really injects a lot of skill into an otherwise fairly RNG-driven system, and each turn feels a lot more thoughtful and engaging to play as a result.

Clean artstyle, satisfying physics, nice chunky sound effects, and the perfect level of challenge. Awesome job. Really polished.

Thanks for the feedback! I did consider using some colours to indicate whether the sequences were right or not fairly late into development, and decided I wanted to use some extra visual indicators instead to fit the style (like a filled/unfilled circle for each sequence) but unfortunately didn’t have too much time to implement it. Glad you enjoyed the game though.

Gameplay is killer and the balance of each of the 3 modes is perfect, it never felt like there was any one ‘best mode’ to stay in. I also enjoyed the differing movement speeds between each of the modes, it adds some nice variational intensity. Once the recognition of each colour becomes quick and natural, the game really clicks and it becomes a blast to play. Great writing and worldbuilding too.

Awesome and very well fleshed out execution of a super simple concept. I like the combination of traditional puzzle logic with precision aiming, it’s unique. Great game.

So my friend and I finally finished the game, and it was an awesome experience! It’s unconventional - I’ve never played anything even a little bit like this, and yet everything holds together perfectly. There’s a perpetual frantic energy throughout, but it’s so varied and dynamic that it never gets tiring or too much. I haven’t come across a game this captivating in a long time, and I really hope this gets a lot more attention. Great work.

This is intricate, intense, and beautiful.

The controls were a little difficult to figure out in the beginning, great fun once you get into the flow of things though. Gets hectic, in a good way.

Really satisfying to play once you grasp the controls, all the mid-air leap of faith jumps where you have to land on something in the other mode were fun to pull off. Only thing I could complain about is the consecutive wall-jumps had some really specific/difficult timing that I couldn’t get the hang of, though I’m sure they’d get easier eventually.
