Great interpretation and some fun NPCs to meet

Developer

Thank you!

Would be lovely if we could have a "pages" version too, the spread doesn't print right for me.

This is a beautiful little zine with excellent art. The writing is very good throughout, although the reader has to read through the whole thing to discover how to cure the king, and after several readings I'm not sure where it says the garden is the king's dreamscape? But I think it is. The layout is very clear, and really the map is so good you could almost improvise from it alone. Excellent, excellent, flavourful art including NPC portraits, really lovely.

One tiny niggle, printed at A5 some of the text is so small (like the small descriptions of King Nansemond/Julius/Pat/Gale that I think I couldn't really read it at the table.

Still a beautiful piece of work! Thank you so much! It's going in my games file.

Thank you so much for the great feedback!! We do definitely need to make a print version for the pdf & adjust the smaller font. We were so focused on the details we forgot to state the obvious that the garden is the dreamscape lol! Thank you again!

Very stylish. Dreaming and gardens is a cool pairing,  That's a great map

Developer

ahh thank you! Yeah they just seem to go hand in hand, something about a large garden just feels so whimsical.

I love the style and the art. The cover and the map look so good! The writing is on point and clear to be followed by the gamemaster.

Developer

thank you!! We were definitely worried about having too much vs not enough text so glad everything is clear!! :)

Incredible art, and shocking how effectively so much game is packed into so little space! Beautiful, evocative execution of a simple premise, my favorite kind of adventure!

I really like the artstyle and the whimsical nature of this module.

Would be a perfect fit to run in Perils and Princesses, or maybe even Mausritter. Hope I'll find a chance to bring it to the table.

Developer

we definitely have been loving Mausritter recently so it could be fun to run with that system! Thank you for reading!!

Top notch all around. Cool concept, extremely clear layout, and the art is outstanding. Great color choices.

Developer

ahh thank you thank you!!

I love the color choices for the text and layout. Clear and visible across both black and white pages. I like the clear encounter table and the images included are great.

Developer

thank you so much! Im glad you enjoyed!

Stunning art, the characters and dream eater all look super cool! The idea and encounters are all really inventive and interesting, I especially like the gnomes with the crown! The map being on the same spread as the location descriptions would have helped reduce pdf page flipping. Will be looking to fit this into a game session at some point, awesome work!

Developer

thank you so much for reading!! In hindsight we should have created a pdf “for print” and “for screens”, so thank you for the feedback!! Would absolutely love to hear how it goes if you run it!

The art and layout are absolutely phenomenal, and the adventure feels so whimsical while also maintaining a good amount of tension. Love it!

Developer

yay thank you!! We definitely were going for whimsey so glad that comes across :)

Fantastic presentation - I love how the map gives enough visual detail to prompt important parts of the key (like how you can get "there's a secret path through the hedge from the knocked-over picnic area to the back of the garden. It's guarded by gnomes" just from the map), this makes it so much easier to run something like this at the table.

Developer

Thank you so much! I’ve def found myself riffing off maps while gming just bc it’s faster than skimming thru bullet points so I tried to make it as helpful as possible. Appreciate your comment :-)

The visual presentation is wonderful! The charming art on the title page works beautifully with the adjacent map, creating a perfect fairytale atmosphere from the moment you open it. The whole document is a genuine joy to look through and read.

Developer

This is so nice! Thank you!! :)

Beautiful art and layout, and a great one-shot concept!

Developer

Hey thank you!!

I'm in awe with the art style and how well it supplements the fun ideas presented here.

Here's what I got from proofreading the document:
  • "Inside." (spread 2, A6. Garden Shed) There's an unintended line break here.
  • "Gale the Gardner." (spread 2, A6. Garden Shed) Gardner instead of Gardener.
  • "roll on the treasure table twice." (spread 2, Items) If this refers to the treasure tables of the system you are running, you might want to add that info. The effect and encounter tables are also referred to in this way, but are found within the document itself, unlike said treasure table.
  • Formatting. (spread 2, Random Tables) The first result of both tables is indented and I'm not sure if this is intended as it looks a little off.
Developer

Ahh thank you so much for taking the time to read and give notes! We’ll def be fixing! I had left the treasure table vague for gm’s choice but maybe I should clarify that
