Nice references - I wager 400 quatloos on the newcomer.
😎 There are SO MANY Easter Eggs and obscure trivia hiding is this work. It was a pleasure digging through all my old pop-culture trivia to make this.
This is so charming, and the format is pretty original. Love the little pieces of art too.
I’m quite happy with the results… and stepped up my art and graphics bar dramatically. Tulsa is a new favorite character of mine.
You really packed a lot into a small space. A whole lot of flavor!
Thanks - it feels crowed to me - but it ticks all the check boxes.
Kind of love how off the wall Tulsa is, truly a wildcard, just farting all over the place. The art reminds me of early point and click computer flash games in the best way, definitely giving me a nostalgia vibe. The actual 'adventure" page is a little hard to read and could definitely benefit from some spacing in between the text, or maybe separating them into two columns to make it easier on the eyes!
I agree, I learned a LOT about this layout, it was my first time trying the A6 and this double-fold greeting card layout. Like how best to convey this particular scenario to others in such tiny pages. Still, with only hours left… I really needed to post something for all this research, artwork, design, and layout. I’m happy with the results but will likely make a V2. I’m sure that I would use at least 2 pages for the Adventure section. Turn it into a half-page RPGzine and make the map a fold-out (like the map for Gruesome Ghoulies™). Thanks for reading it!
Oh yeah, fitting everything into the 4 page layout was HARD, I think we ended up writing and scrapping so much stuff just to make sure it would fit haha. Would love to see the final design if you end up making it V2, i think making it a half-page zine with fold out map would suit it really well!! :)
