So, so good. Probably my favourite that I've played. Nice tight puzzle design, fun mechanics, and satisfying to solve. Love it

Developer

Thanks! that means a lot. I too could say the same thing with your game. :)

Cool game! I really liked the mechanics! that last puzzle was a killer, but I figured it out eventually!

That is quite genuine, when one has to combinate and plan at last. It must have been harder to think out the witty puzzles than creating the whole game.   Thanx for letting us jumping to and fro among levels and also for introducing your lighting system!

Developer

Thanks! It really was difficult coming with a good puzzle. Lots of trial and error to get it right.

This is the third puzzle game that I played in a row today! A very solid one. That last puzzle almost made me throw the towel, but perseverance paid off! Very nice visual effects, the physics of the robots are also interesting, specially in that room where the robots keep jumping and... (whoops, I won't reveal the solution!). Very cool! The neon city is very charming and the controls are simple and easy to learn. Great game, well done!

Nice! Thanks for playing! The last one is really hard and I'm pretty sure most would just quit there. Congrats for persevering!

Yay, I have completed the game. The last level was really difficult ^^ I dont know why, but the visuals  reminded me of a Super Meat Boy xD

I also managed to collect all the crystals. Are they needed for something?

Nice game!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

The crystals are just there for bragging rights lol. I also placed it there cause it looks cool but there's nothing useful about it.

Also. good job for finishing the game! That last puzzle is so tricky, even I thought for a moment that it was impossible XD

It would of been better is their was a way to switch robots instead of clicking onto them. But the game was really fun and it had cool puzzles!

Developer

I actually thought about it but somehow forgot to implement it.  Thanks for the suggestion. I would definitely add this to the post version.

Understandable my friend.  I can admit that reusing things did help a lot.  I really wanted to add more elements to the game that would make it very different from the original, but I didn't have enough time. I'm in the middle of my thesis and many other university work, which also explains my inactivity on YouTube and why I missed the GMTK 2021 Game Jam and the GMC 40 Jam.

Glad to see that you know me as the dude who made the lighting tutorial :)

The keyboard input didn't work for me :( Looks really nice though!

Developer

Oh, I experienced that.  Just reload the page and make sure you don't tab out.

It's an HTML bug and I honestly don't know how to solve it.

What an incredibly well thought out puzzle game. Love the little gamemaker logo haha. Felt so happy when I figured out the robot can jump on top of another one. Super cute and it's a sign of a good puzzle when you can go "a-ha!" when solving it. The levels ramped up really well allowing me to learn the game without reading long instructions. Each level taught me a concept in NeoRoboJack's world so the difficulty ramped up in a great pace. Really enjoyed it. The art is really good. All signs of a super polished and satisfying game. Sometimes when I play game jam games, I'm excited to see how a limited theme is creatively interpreted. As "neon" is such a broad theme, I wasn't super sure what to expect. But games like yours make me glad it is such an open theme because you can see just something really cool that someone made. It's a great idea that's a lot of fun. The level design is superb and everything is just really well done.

Great platform puzzle, good job!

you crafted a real little gem here! I really liked it!

The orbs containing different abilities is so brilliant! There's a lot you can do with that idea. I got stuck in the room with the 1 jump orb and 2 robots that needed to cross the gap, but I eventually figured it out. You've made a really cool puzzle platformer, very well done!!!

Punishingly hard but I enjoyed it!

A very cool puzzle platformer! Passed with pleasure! I hope for the continuation (subscription from me). I will play the first part if possible. Good luck in developing the game =)

Flawless game, I honestly can not think of any criticism, Great and concept only supported by great visuals and audio. Extra thanks for your lighting tutorial which I used in my game.

Developer

Thanks! That means a lot! I'll make sure to try out your game!

Really Cool puzzle game and the mechanics kept coming. Nothing felt overly bland or plain, and the cute Gamemaker signs and overall aesthetic were a nice touch.
