Thank you! You're definitely an artist! I believe we can bring artistry to pretty much anything, even programming. It's a way of thinking... or we could also say that it's a way of being.
By the way...

Hey, UpDownStrange! Thank you so much! I really appreciate your interest, but unfortunately I don't take commission work.
Greetings, gamerviz! Sure, I just added the file to this asset pack. Just have in mind that I did this animation (a long time ago) by improvising in order to have a reasonably interesting animated cover. It was not mean to be sold. But now is here! The files are called: cover_thumbnail_liquid_vfx.aseprite and cover_thumbnail_liquid_vfx.gif.
Thank you so much for you interest and support!
Thank you, Victor Gustavo! I appreciate the feedback. This project is archived, but I won't stop.
Hello, OneWeakness! Thank you! That's not required, but if you really want to, then you may credit me as "kiddolink" and link to my profile: https://kiddolink.itch.io/ .
Yes, I just needed one color. But it`s very easy to change the sprite sheet color with any kind of image or pixel editor. In case of a pixel editor, just use the the bucket tool (there are also online tools, such as this: https://www.piskelapp.com/ ). Have fun!
By the way, I put the files into a .zip file, called Cover_Smoke_Effect.zip, in order to organize things.
Hello, skagns852! At first, I didn't understand your request, because there is simply no video! But then I thought that, maybe, you're referring to the package's animated gif thumbnail, which indeed includes an effect. If that's the case, I already included the effect used in the cover of the asset in the whole package. Now, the file it's called cover_effect.gif. Have in mind that the effect was hand drawn in pixel art for thumbnail purposes. It's not high resolution digital art. To be fair, there is a description of the asset package's content in the page explaining what is included. I recommend reading it attentively.
Please, let me know if that's the effect that you were requesting! Have a nice day!
Hey, goofyillustrator! This Set is already a bundle that contains many individual packages that are sold individually. Right now, I am making a sale that include all my VFX packages released so far. In case you're interested, you can check it here: VFX-fy your LIFE!!!
Greetings, SGHarlekin! Thank you very much for the support!
I added the frames and spritesheets with each frame being at the 192x192 resolution. If something is not right about the files, let me know! It was an automatic conversion, so I checked most of them to be sure.
Thanks for the offer, but I don't do commissions. I thought about adding more animation packs such as this, but I'm busy with a game project.
Hey! The sale ended on July 1st.
It shows here: https://itch.io/s/75225/vfx-fy-your-life
Gummy Grenade Games, what a delightful surprise! Your game looks very neat and pretty! I'm playing it here, almost halfway through to beat the pinata.
Hello! I had the same problem and managed to solve it. I'm not sure if this is going to work for you, but it's worth a try:
When you're going to export for web, go into the Options Tab, look for "Canvas Resize Policy" and make it "Adaptative". Hopefully, this may solve your problem.
I see, definitely! Honestly, I'm still learning how to draw backgrounds/landscapes. It's a long term journey, probably without end! I use the Youtube school. So, here are my recommendations (they are not related to pixel art, however, they greatly helped me to improve):
Outside of that, I watched tons of Bob Ross videos and many nature related documentaries! Developing love for nature also helps, because that will fill you with enthusiasm to learn and be inspired to make better art. Turning everything into pixels is the easiest part, because it will feel like painting. It takes time, so be patient.
But if you need something REALLY fast, briefly I can say:
When you're satisfied with the results...
Pixel Art. All the above can be called a pre-work to making a pixel version of the landscape. It will save you tons of time, because you will be able to envision the whole piece and still have many problems that could arise in the process already solved.
Most importantly... have FUN! Don't turn it into a chore. Also, let go perfeccionism. Just be happy with what you can accomplish, and gradually keep improving, step by step.
That's it!
Hey, kitarp06!
No. Magic spells belongs to the Complete Set Season 2, available here: https://kiddolink.itch.io/vfx-complete-set-season-2-pixel-art
Hey, triplejumpgames!
There is no single pack that includes all VFX asset packages. However, from time to time, I usually make a special sale that includes all of them. If you are willing to wait, maybe I might consider to open the sale again this month. It's called VFX-fy your Life!!! This link: https://itch.io/s/75225/vfx-fy-your-life
Other than that, getting the Complete sets 1, 2 and 3 is another way to get all VFX made so far.
Hey, Ali ALC! I assume that you're referring to the sprite sheet of the energy beams effects. If so, I just uploaded the file with a transparent background (resolution of 96x96). The file is called: sprite_sheet_96x96_TRANSPARENT_BACKGROUND.png. It's available for download. If you need any help, please let me know.
Hello, Elbody! Glad to know that the assets are being useful in your project. Your words are INVIGORATING!
Very nice! Programming is a very essential and powerful skill for game development. In the beginning, it's always a very humbling experience. But it gets more and more exciting as proficiency starts to set in. Interesting, challenging and fun, that's how programming should be!
Elbody, I wish you all the best! That may you reap all the good fruits of your efforts by dedicating to your game! Treasure the lessons that you learn along the way. Remember, it's a journey!
Hello, Gameberhood!
I'm very busy with work. However, looking at the animation that you showed, it would not be difficult to add similar animations to this SLASH VFX package, if that's what you mean by availability for work. Although I cannot promptly promised anything, maybe I can add similar animations to this pack soon as an update.
Now, if by availability for work you mean commision work, then unfortunately, I'm not.
Hey, threeearedbear!
Very nice game! I liked the idea of combining the potions around the items as a gimmick. Good job!
