Yes, I just needed one color. But it`s very easy to change the sprite sheet color with any kind of image or pixel editor. In case of a pixel editor, just use the the bucket tool (there are also online tools, such as this: https://www.piskelapp.com/ ). Have fun!

By the way, I put the files into a .zip file, called Cover_Smoke_Effect.zip, in order to organize things.

Hello, skagns852! At first, I didn't understand your request, because there is simply no video! But then I thought that, maybe, you're referring to the package's animated gif thumbnail, which indeed includes an effect. If that's the case, I already included the effect used in the cover of the asset in the whole package. Now, the file it's called cover_effect.gif. Have in mind that the effect was hand drawn in pixel art for thumbnail purposes. It's not high resolution digital art. To be fair, there is a description of the asset package's content in the page explaining what is included. I recommend reading it attentively.

Hello! I had the same problem and managed to solve it. I'm not sure if this is going to work for you, but it's worth a try:

When you're going to export for web, go into the Options Tab, look for "Canvas Resize Policy" and make it "Adaptative". Hopefully, this may solve your problem.

I see, definitely! Honestly, I'm still learning how to draw backgrounds/landscapes.  It's a long term journey, probably without end! I use the Youtube school. So, here are my recommendations (they are not related to pixel art, however, they greatly helped me to improve):

Outside of that, I watched tons of Bob Ross videos and many nature related documentaries! Developing love for nature also helps, because that will fill you with enthusiasm to learn and be inspired to make better art. Turning everything into pixels is the easiest part, because it will feel like painting. It takes time, so be patient.

But if you need something REALLY fast, briefly I can say: 

• Do some concepts and composition sketches (without worrying about colors and details)
• Try to go with greyscale alone (working only with values, lights and shadows)

When you're satisfied with the results...

• Make strong use of layers, and start working from background layers towards foreground
• Do thumbnails (in really small resolutions), until you're satisfied. If the landscape doesn't work well in thumbnail format, the chances are that it won't look good in bigger resolutions. But don't be discouraged if that happens. It's very easy to correct digital art!
• Increase the resolution and start adding small details and character
• Add color! Try experimenting with saturation, light and blend modes

Pixel Art. All the above can be called a pre-work to making a pixel version of the landscape. It will save you tons of time, because you will be able to envision the whole piece and still have many problems that could arise in the process already solved.

Most importantly... have FUN! Don't turn it into a chore. Also, let go perfeccionism. Just be happy with what you can accomplish, and gradually keep improving, step by step.

I just played your game here. Amazing work! Here is my feedback:

• Gameplay: I liked the turn-based cooldown approach mechanics. It's very different than what I'm used to, but it works very well with just a couple of characters. I think that if the party size gets too big, that may be an issue though. Also, I think I found a bug in the tutorial. The yellow mark that show the movement range stopped working right after a second group came to my aid (I was losing in the tutorial). I didn't manage to get that yellow grid for movement to show again after the second group settled in. In relation to the characters vocations, I enjoyed the warrior and specially the black mage classes, but I didn't manage to be able to heal more than once per battle with the healer. It would be nice if the healing ability could regenerate. Or maybe I just don't know how to do that just yet. I played on casual and got destroyed hahaha. The matchmaking is working very well too.
• Audio: The BGM is fits very well with the arena atmosphere. The sound effects are also on the spot. Subtle and nice to hear, giving more life and a nice vibe to the battles.
• Graphics: The HUD, the Fonts, the character sprites, including the tileset and effects, everything reads very well. I liked the clean interface.

Your game is impressive! I'm glad that you found use for the assets in it!
