Really cool game. Like the puzzle idea. The light casting is great. Fits perfectly the Theme 😎.
It is also so comlplete: Help screen, settings, the guiding info texts and even the "Continue" from last game. Just WOW !
Also the complete credit page is there.

Btw. I like also the little, walking guy, I think he fits to the resolution.

One of my favorites! Love a great puzzle game! Well executed and the difficulty pacing is great. After finishing the, it left me wanting more!

I'm glad you found a way to implement the lights to your game :))

Developer(+1)

I thought a game about neon must have beautiful neon lights. I went through over 2 different lighting systems (The first wasn't dynamic and the second was slow and didn't look that great) before I stumbled onto your lighting tutorial, so thank you I couldn't have done it without you!

Woow, that got me thinking (really hard). Bravo! You have a solid, well defined game in your hands! Definitely worthy making it bigger! Nice soundtrack and neon lights! Just a matter of polishing it even more and expanding it.

Very well done!

I liked the small details on lightning, also cool puzzles and interesting gameplay, I had what I think is a bug? where both movement boxes were stuck togheter and I couldn't make them appart, overall great entry, congrats!

Developer(+1)

I am glad you liked it. I have been notified about the bug with the boxes I will fix as soon as I get the time for now if they ever get stuck you can restart the level by clicking R or the Rstart button ib the pause menu.

This is a great concept!! The graphics are a bit lacking but I enjoyed the core game loop. I think that it would be more intuitive as 'conveyers' you walk over rather than 'blocks' that send you 'x' direction when you bump them. Good work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I have considered making the signs conveyors but decided against it because having them as walls makes for much more interesting puzzles. I do plan on making the game 2.5D instead of the current orthographic projection I am currently using I hope that will make it clearer that they are blocks rather than conveyors.

Passed. Interesting puzzle.

It seems to me that the music is not suitable and the graphics should be improved. Good job!

Good luck in development =)

Nice game! I struggled a lot in the room with the 2 green blocks (the one in the screenshot). The twists and turns were tricky to get around, or maybe I'm just bad at games xD Great use of theme! Btw I am a moth lover so I have to support my moth friends

Thank you for the kind words! I do think I haven't explained the mechanics very well and they aren't very obvious by just looking so maybe I should improve that.

Submitted

I think the mechanics were pretty easy to figure out. I think I would have had an easier time in that one room if I made better use of the pause button. The game is well deigned! I just needed to get good xD

I was very confused at first, but then I understood how to play it and it's not bad at all! :) Rated!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words. I didn't really have time to test the game with someone else to see if the systems are easily understandable, so I expected people to not understand the game very well. That is why I created a help menu but I forgot to mention it in the in-game tutorial, so I think many people missed it, big oof on my part.

Character art seems out of place with the rest of the scene. Cool game though! This was made within the jam's time too? I made mine in 4 days also. :)

Developer

Thank you, I sorta sacrificed the art for the lighting, the lighting took me a really long time to implement so I didn't have time to replace the prototype art.

I started the day the jam theme was announced so I had about a week to make the game, also the buttons/options are all assets I created for previous jams and I just reused them so that helped me finish up faster.
