amazing visuals (wow that menu shader is so overkill) but gameplay suffer from the lack of visibility and controls are a bit rough with the camera movements (or its the lag idk)

Sick game! Love the vfx, the music make it feels like a bullet hell game and with additional polishing, this game definitely has potential! Well done!

My favorite so far when it comes to graphics-playability relationship. I felt like a game that plays smooth and fast, and this is it, plus it looks gorgeous. But I was sooooo annoyed that cursor kept disappearing. I thought that's because it is the same color as projectiles, but then I saw your comment that you hid it on purpose to be able to see what we're shooting at, big mistake lol. Or at least it doesn't go well with all other vision hindering aspects. Of course, it only bothers me because I liked all other things about the game so much. Good job.

Thank you for playing, glad you enjoyed it!

And yes, definitely won't make cursor disappear in future games. It was an attempt to help with too many effects happening on screen, but clearly just made it worse. Thank you for the feedback!

I have to stop now, because I can't stop it later :D Really good work.

Immensely impressive visuals, but there does not seem to be a way to save progress, it would be nice to have some checkpoints (at least I did not manage to reach the first one if there is any present).

Loved the visuals but frame rate dropped during combat for me. Great job

I liked this game a lot! The visuals are really nice - great way of creating atmosphere with more simple shapes and the use of lighting and particles. The gameplay also feels very good. I was sometimes a bit stuck but that's probably due to my lack of orientation, haha. I think I reached the final boss fight - it at least felt like it. Great job, great game!

Very punchy feedback!

  • Could’ve used one more attack for player variety, like a bomb or something
  • Hiding the cursor when firing is kind of disorienting.

Gorgeous game, love the punch-y feeling to shooting / movement. Sound and music perfectly fit this dark atmosphere / castlevania colored game. Lovely shaders, great lighting, everything runs beautifully and is masterfully crafted. I wish there was a bit more closure towards the end, but otherwise awesome job, especially within 2 weeks

Ooh Iove how this looks and feels to play, insanely juicy and well thought out! My only gripe would be that the cursor disappears during shooting, which is pretty counter intuitive in a shooter :P

Developer

Holy crap it's the legend himself :O

Thank you for playing my game, the thought behind the cursor was to see what you're shooting better, but I agree it definitely didn't feel right.
Maybe having a separate shooting reticle and a separate non shooting one would have worked, or just not having all the effects on the default one. Regardless I'll remember this in the future, thank you for playing!

I think I beat the game? I hit a large empty room with no doors or enemies. The graphical and sound effects are phenomenal. As stated before, some performance issues in browser.

I think the light bubble around the player should be slightly larger. There were several times I was walking backwards away from a swarm, and an enemy spawned behind me for a cheap hit.

Combat drags on a bit, I think enemies regrow if you don't finish them off? If that's the case, they should regrow a little slower.

Developer(+1)

Yep that was the end. There was originally a giant boss fight against the red thing that you're chasing, with sounds and visuals and orchestras and lights and fireworks and shaders and particles... But then the jam ended :/

Completely agree with you on needing more light, my solution was going to be to have the spawners be light sources so you wouldn't have stuff spawn without seeing it, but didn't quite get to it.

The enemies didn't regrow but they kept spawning infinitely off of the red circles, if you didn't finish the red circles quickly enough there may have been dozens of them on top of each other. That was propably one of the main performance issues as well, and not explained at all by me.

Truly appreciate your feedback, I'll hopefully be able to do better in all these areas in future jams.

Hi Coco :D Nice to see you in another jam!

Really great work! The palette is beautiful, and the sounds + camera effects + vfx do a lot to make the gameplay satisfying. The tutorial was also incorporated really well.

Developer

Yoooo what up Kuro?

Thank you for playing the game and feedback! Glad you liked it!

beautiful! the performance drops when there are lots of particles on screen at least in the web version, but other than that its super smooth. I will definitely come back to beat it.

Thank you for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I'll focus on optimization in the future for sure, unfortunately I prioritized it too low and didn't quite get to it.

really fun game! and beautiful, too!

Thank you!

That's so cool! The visuals and sfx are awesome! Although it seems that my slow laptop can't handle all the juice you put in the game and it plays in slow motion in some parts.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback!

I definitely didn't optimize the visuals as much as I could have, was purely focusing on making it as satisfying as I could. I'll try to be more attentive towards that for future jams.

The art and vfx are absolutely beautiful! the gameplay feels polished and smooth. Great game!

Awesome! The gameplay feels smooth and responsive, and I like the idea of using your projectiles as a light source to navigate around the map. It's clear to me that you have spent your time on the important features like getting the shooting to feel good, while developing this.  Bravo!
