Hello, My Name is Selric.
Your Game Raft is very cool i played it much time. I would support you with a little donation but i can pay only with paysafecard.
It would be great if you could make this.
PS: sorry for my very bad English.
An Oceanic Survival Game · By
If the underwater idea is going to be implemented it would be cool to have items/accessories/WEAPONS that are only obtainable as secrets that you have to find underwater in certain areas. Kind of like easter eggs that have to be found but the weapons can have different rarity levels and looks. Something i wanted to throw in :)
How about a floor with a hole in it so you can build a ladder or get water for your water pourifier inside your home. I wanted to make a hole in the corner of the house so i can easy get water, but when i do there becomes a big gap with no walls or floor. It could be better if you could make just a floor with a hole in it, so you still can put walls on it and get water or even fish.
I think Later on In the Game There Should Be Away were you can stop the shark, maybe not for good but away to stop it for a certain amount of time so you can focus on building up your raft and resources, i also think there should be a unlock system were you can unlock things for your raft as you go along playing the game
Night and Day. Have a day counter. Every ten days your raft should be attacked by multiple sharks the amount of sharks should get larger every ten days. You should get cold at night so you need clothes/fire. In the day it should get too hot so you need to find shade or make a fan from palm leaves/ light clothing made from thatch.
I've had time to read through some of the posts but not all, so sorry in advance if any of these have been mentioned or already planned.
Quick thanks:
Loving this game so far, well done to the team for trying to keep up with our demands - it's just cause the game is so addictive despite how early on it is!
A few suggestions: (I tried to keep them simpler to be more realistic)
1. Durability on items, and repair.
2. Chance for crabs in nets that you have to kill as they'll attack you.
3. Spear upgrade (could make a workbench for upgrades, and then pebbles to barrels to make sharpening stone) and weapon variants (like a retrievable javelin using rope that could be used at range to deter sharks for a bit).
4. Seagull/ seabirds that steal your potatoes/ food.
5. Better night/ day cycle and torches/ fire and cold damage? Means that it would make it challenging to fend off sharks at night.
6. Other survivors adrift, so when/ if you save them you have to have enough food and water to keep them alive too!
7. Beds to rest in (getting tired causes fatigue) and then when you're resting other survivors would fend off base)
8. TRAPS/ bait - to ward off sharks
9. Lobster cages.
10. Rain? Only problem then is teh lagg 😭
11. Reel in fishing line not knowing what's on it and then a fairly high possibility for a swordfish or something (just more damage sources basically
12. More woodwork, more craftables
13. Shipwrecks (to find linen, different timber that is more durable and just other shiz)
14. A floating football to draw a smiley face on 😂
15. Lightning and then water bucket?
16. A happiness factor?
17. First aid (bandages from lines, using saltwater as an antiseptic - which makes it useful again after coconuts, yay!)
These last 4 are a little more ridiculous, though some of the previous were too...
1. Islands! As you are drifting you spot them, or you could just build a boat and keep going until you find them! But make them uninhabitable at night or something (monkeys/ crabs/ whatever) and then be able to anchor raft so as not to find it gone when you leave the island :L
Islands could have hostile natives and stuff too? You could make seeds only available on islands?
2. Pirates! I won't say anymore because it might make you cry.
3. I know it's been said before, but the option to co-op with a friends or two - hosting with hamachi or something?
4. Mini games and scoreboards? That's a meh one, but the catching of shiz as it goes by was almost a game in itself 😂
i think you can add a death animation and languages
note: im no so good in english, sorry for the gramatical mistakes
when you die, is game over, thats it, but... why you dont add a dead animation?, if you die for the shark, you will see how are going to the bottom of the ocean and see the blood mixing whit the water when your vision goes to black, if you die in the raft, you fall on it and the screen goes to black, but if you die close to a side of the raft, you fell out of the raft and start to float in the ocean and see the sky before the screen goes to black, also add some kind of languages, like spanish and french for people that are not good in english (like me)
thanks for the game, add make it more leght, for laptops like the mine
The update/idea I'm thinking off is called the Defense Update:
Adds 6 new items:
Adds 3 new settings.
Adds 2 new BIG features.
Thank you so much for reading this, I hope it get's added into Raft. Raft Developer, if you would please read this, it would be amazing, same goes with other accounts. Thank you again, and make sure to comment down below for other ideas/fixes to this thread.

I love this game, but when I first got started, and had to use a hook rather than just nets, the 2d-ness of the scraps and thatch made the items hard to see in the distance(thatch in specific). I like the look of those items, but maybe make them have some height, be more colorful, or have some sort of outlined edges, so they could be more visible in the horizon. Thanks, and keep up the good work!
Hey im up to the point in the game where i have 3 chests filled with metal 4 chests filled with wood enough food to last forever water is easy to get and i have enough thatch to last me decades i think it would be nice to be able to make
Ladders
the ability to reinforce stuff with scrap and metal (ill tell you an idea for metal later)
Maybe a smelter to smelt scrap into metal and metal into other stuff then you can extend it to whatever you want
Harpoon to hit the shark once then it will go away it will take make the one harpoon shot go away then you will need to make more amunition you can make it as hard as you want to make the harpoon amunition
night time
storms that can damage your structures
damage indicators
damage to your tools
i know not all of these will be added but i love the game i love the idea and i would love to see this on steam and you guys earning money thankyou for all the time and effort youve put into this!
Add artifacts. For example, a broken radio and part of it, or a broken phone, or a bottle with a message. So the game will be more atmosphere. Say: find all the pieces of a broken radio. Trying to find the radio signal. There were disturbances. You hear a voice. But suddenly the battery dying. And that's it. So as with telephone and letter in a bottle. It will be very atmospheric.
Also add alternation of day and night.
Dear developers. The game gets really interesting. At this stage of the game is not quite a lot of different things. Later in the game I would like to see some things, such as a boat. Just add the island on which it would be possible to swim in the boat. Add the secret places where players have been waiting for a very rare thing. For example what that weapon or tools for upgrading your home on the water. I am a Russian player. The game really liked me. Very nice graphics and nice gameplay. Thank you very much in advance. I'm sure you'll have to create one this game more popular. Just my advice to you. Add the game in Steam. It will be much more downloads, and many players will play the game. thank you very much
Adding an end game or another objective other than just surviving and avoiding the shark, like an eventual rescue perhaps.
Adding more solid walls, floors, roofing. "customisation" type stuff.
Add fish to spear possibly, as well as adding some other fish to come off the rod.
Adding more materials, to diversify the crafting as well as give the possibility of other items like rubber and plastic leading to things like a rubber boat: for the following suggestion.
Adding islands to swim to/paddle to, perhaps finding other materials to build things out of.
New breeds of shark/quantity of sharks.
More ruthless shark nature, notices you are not stabbing it to keep it away and attacks more frequently and vice versa.
Birds, add some birds, surely there are some seagulls or something wanting to steal your coconuts?
Temperature bar, all that cold water and no warm place to stay must be making you sick, right?
Clothing, even just a seaweed shirt and pants to protect from the sun, or a shark bite.
Night time/day time cycle.
Furniture, more specifically a bed for the night time cycle.
Pets, i want a pet seagull or a pet crab or a dolphin friend to help keep the shark away.... or even a shark to keep the sharks away?
Random items that could have washed out to sea, a floaty, a tennis ball, plastic bottles.
All just suggestions, but theres a large potential for this game and it takes one or two good ideas to make a good game better.
These are my list of Features to make a good game Better!
* Update The player Model! Even if Basic, It's better than two floating arms.
* Make Breaking Stages for the foundations! It would look heaps Better and you would be able to tell roughly how broken they are.
* Multiplayer! this is a must, It would be Heaps better if i could play with my friend. We could Survive, Together!
* Jackpot! Every now and then something should happen. Something that makes survivors jump in joy.
That's my list! "Upvote" so These Features can be added Later on!
make so your tools can break if you use them too much!!!! i would love that so when you make like an axe breaking some builds or cuting wood would bring the durability down and eventually it will break so you have to craft a new one and please add a craffting table so you can craft more things i mean all you can craft witout it is tincan rope crafting table and add artifacts like a broken bottle or yeah just junk. I WOULD LOVE SEEING ANY OF THESE OR MY OTHER THINGS FROM OTHER COMMENTS! so dear developer make one of these things a thing. that sounded weird...
The game is almost perfect, but needs some improvements and implementations. For example: After some time, reduce the amount of items that arrive in the sea current, to make the game a bit more difficult; Make an implementation so that items like cups and food are put to roast or boil directly from the inventory, without the need to put them in hand. Increase the resistance of the character a little because the character gets hungry and thirsty very fast.
Here's some ideas:
- do the shark bigger and do that he will do more damage when attacking you.
-Bed, night, day time.
-After killing the shark many times add that a bigger shark (the size of "Megalodon") will come but he won't attak you.
-Falldamage.
-Door.
-More Materials/stuff/weapons (sword,bow).
-Add armor.
-Do That The Potatos will grow slower.
-Multyplayer.
-Rain/snow.
-If you will add snow do that you can make snowballs.
-Do that for the "Cooking Station" you will need planks and scrap to lit the planks and get fire to cook the food.
-Do for the water thing that when you brew the water you will see an animation of water falling to the can.
-After you destroy something to that it will drop its materials.
-Add Soup
-Add Options to the game like audio, graphics, Fog, Screen resolution and more.
This game is already great for a alpha with allot of potential.
Ideas: Enemy NPCs that will drift to your raft time to time, rare loot like a better named hook than can reach farther and do damage, a pirate ship that attacks you and if you defeat the pirates and captain then you get allot of rare loot that's drops when the ship sinks after the battle, neutral NPCs on small rafts with possible loot, islands that you can visit by crafting a small boat and finding a map to it, weather system with lightning that can hit the raft and to put it out you use a can of water, sleeping system, nightmare mode where it's always nighttime and sharks attack more frequently, more shark types, being able to go underwater for a short amount of time and finding occasional Chests, tool durability, reinforcements for foundation, a writable journal and a story of how you ended up on the raft with mysterious flashbacks.
I understand that it is only a small group working on the raft, but these are just ideas for possible features for the future. Rome wasent built in a day and neither will raft
I think this should be an xbox one/PS4 game because I can't download this and loads of other people because most people dont have a computer and it would be fun on a console and it would be easier to control and it would be a very popular game so please im bursting to play this game but i cant because i have no money please agree with me
Make it harder as you progress, one idea I think would be scary and cool is like a herd of whales that could bump and break multiple foundations. They wouldn't happen as often as shark attacks, but when you hear them your heart would race as you try to figure out what items your going to have to replace.
Maybe also a hardcore mode where your raft will slowly decay from the wood rotting out.
Instead of cooking salt water, maybe add in some weather effects where you need to set up some sort of water catcher.
You should add more sharks, that would be awesome. Not just one shark. Also you should add that the player can dive under water. Of course their is oxygen. But the whole point is to locate sunken loot. Such as more high tech equipment, scuba gear and harpoons stuff like that. That's what i want at the moment. ;D Keep up the good work.
Actualizaciones Sucesivas : D
1- Que Transcurra El Tiempo en El Juego, Es Decir, Que Se Haga De Dia y de Noche Consecutivamente.
2-Agregar Cambios Climáticos, Como Por Ejemplo: Lluvia,Nieve, Truenos...Etc.
3-Agregar Botes Para Poder Trasladarse.
4-Agregar Islas Con Diferentes Recursos Y Animales...Etc.
5-QUE Este Mas De Un Tiburón A La Vez Con Nosotros.
You could make raft cities like trading post questing area in there also add furniture, some paintings, sculptures, and other fancy stuff, fence and roof, some kind of mechanism that would let you know then somebody swims close too you (it would be really awesome if you planing to make multiplayer), give more defense options (spiked net, bow), add some natural islands where you could find animal or npcs, make bigger stacks depended on item.
I think it would be pretty cool if they added some sort of cut scene at the start of the game to show what happened.
It could be like a tsunami that hit a ship and our character blacked out!
It would also be cool if there could be added multiplier, but it would have to be made a bit more difficult or some twist!
This game looked so easy and fun when jacksepticeye played it so i downloaded it. but then it turned out to be really hard to survive pls make easier game modes so when you click create new save you can choose a difficulty also for those game modes you could discription for each game mode :
Easy: lots of resources food and water barley go down mostly for having fun
Normal: a bit of a challenge but if you know what your doing you will be fine
Hard: i doubt you will survive more then a day but if you do you must be amazing
(Optional) Peaceful: no food, water or health to worry about. You will always be able to get resources easy. Mainly for people who want to not worry about anything in the game
The night of the day cycle, ocean storms, more enemies, raft movement, more weapons, seasons (temperature) affecting player, marine exploration, Improvement of foundations (improvements), new materials, shark becomes More aggressive at night,More animals (flying or marine), damage by fall and by fire,More types of food (food), to be able to marry the shark without much danger... Thank you for reading a greeting and I hope to be of help... I look forward to the next update :)
Are you thinking about adding co-op/multiplayer to this game ? Or are you going launch this beautiful game on steam (that would be great) , if you are going to add the co-op/multiplayer thing i bet a lot of people would buy it on steam or whatever . Now is your choice if you want to launch it on steam and if you are going to ask for money to play this game :D.
I have 3 ideas
A Backpack for have more inventory
Uprades for the foundation's and the floor's etc etc... Ej: Uprade to Iron or Wood Reforced
Modes of game Ej: Hardcore (the actual mode), Normal (The shark attacks less and does less damage), Easy (More resources and the shark almost does not attack and takes very little life), Peaceful (No shark), Creative (No shark, You have everything)
Thanks for your attention ^_^ !!
This Game ROCKS guys keep it up it can get massive!!! I liked it so much and people had so much interest in my stream about the game :) Needs more things to do like a bird station.
You could make this a multiplayer game by making the gamer able to capture a single and sending laters to other Rafts and make a Raft war or something!!!
Pirates would be EPIC if you could have a chance on fighting them or something :)
I was thinking you should add more things to it, more plants. Or you could add an island far away (really small island) that people could get to. Last idea is add difficulties. Such as easy normal hard and creative. Make your own stuff with creative, or nice peaceful stroll with easy, medium recorces are harder to get and you starve and dehidrate faster, then hard 2 sharks and its near impossible to live. l
Hello I have some ideas, mainly: that you can put protections on the ground so that the shark can not break it easily so it can last longer, that the potatoes fill a little more: in the game we can see that the potatoes do not fill
Almost nothing hunger for that reason would be enough to fill 10 or 15% of the hunger or increase by 7% or rather that hunger does not fall so fast, that once it drops a little directly down almost all, that networks to catch The objects have a limit of space and finally put nets to fish and a nail to keep it subject
Thank you for your attention
Hello, I wanted to present a couple of ideas that I would like to have in the game, well, the ideas I have are:
* It would be great if the shipwreck had to survive a certain amount of days until it was rescued
* I noticed when playing that the content of the games is very scarce, I say that it would be nice to add a species of islands around, donated in them ubiese objects that help them improve the raft.
* There is one thing that would serve as much as the sprint, that would help to move faster through the raft, in addition to swimming faster
* I would also like the sea east with a little decoration, how about if they put a kind of ship destroyed to have a better idea of where the materials come from.
* And what I believe as '' important '' is a mini story mode so that players know what happened to the shipwreck to say so.
Well, I hope you liked my ideas, I would love to have one of my ideas in the game. I think the game has a lot to give us, so I wish you good luck and goodbye.
Man you're going in the right direction to do quintessence of survival. I played today something about 4 hours. it Is for now grate :D
i didn't find any buggs or something but i have some ideas. U can add mb gun powder and to combinate with scrap it will make sm guns. This game needed more tools to defend. Hmm mb some bows or crosssbows. sry 4 my english :P for now good way to do such a great survival game. Nice job.
I liked the game at first sight . But I noticed that when fried food you don't put a tree and set fire to what I propose . 1 add in barrels (flint and stone in barrels) in order to make a lighter, tapping a stone and a flint to be able to kapitolnik in a fire well or what is putting the tree and of course to set fire to it by tapping the stone and flint ( Kraft where the stone + flint and there the subject of tapping which ) So the game becomes more interesting and fire out of nowhere. I hope you liked my idea ( I'm Russian to English was hard to write) good Luck in the development of the game and good luck! (Sorry for errors I'm Russian)
Hello Creaters of Raft. I have not played your game before but am looking forward to start playing soon. I have seen a few videos on it and thought of an idea for the game. It would be cool to have a Survival mode with both Easy difficulty (The shark attacks less often. maybe every 15 minutes) and Hard difficulty (The shark attacks every 5 minutes). Also if you could implement a Build mode where players can experiment with how they want to build our raft/bases. Also it would be a lot easier to play if players could have stacks of 50 items instead of 10.
Thank you for reading and taking these ideas.
MaxTragl
When the game is very well developed and this in steam or another platform will put money? Is that I have 16 years and uqiero continue playing it without being a pirate in case they put it online to play with friends, so I would just put it free for those who do not have virtual money. Thank you for your attention.
you could add.
- Harpoon
- New fishes
- Be abble to get metal from a new source different to the net
- Door
- Place to fix a fishing rod
- Other things to plant like tomato
- an animal like a pet that help you like to cath fishes and warm you abot the shark
- when you get a new version let us have are raft mantain and not have to start from zero
- could rase a fish like an aqquariun
is an awsome game apreciated
Great game!! But after about half hour it becomes very easy and more about designing a floating mansion than survival. The shark is too predictable I found myself getting used to the timing and getting ready for it - maybe make the shark random? Or add more sharks now and then? I'd love to see night and day in the game and maybe a change in the weather and having to survive through things like storms and then having to repair the raft etc. Maybe add other sea life just to keep the scenery interesting. As far as crafting goes once I get the nets set up I'm constantly running out of space - there's too much debris! Maybe include a difficulty level to set this amount?I'd love to build more things like a bed or the ability to upgrade items to make them stronger or quicker. Will definitely keep checking back on this game - thank you!! :)
Well, I'm here because I really like this game and I would love to see it getting even better.
Here are some problems I had while I was playing:
Sincerely,
Petimus
Ps: Good work on those chests! They are a really great addition to the game. :D
I have idea!!!
U should make starting scene where you are in plane and plane crashes to something and then it goes to ocean where u have little raft like in stranded deep and you have mission to build raft from wood because sharks are trying to attack you so you are safe in that raft u build and i would like if there would be island where u can cut down trees and do other stuff to start your adventure and can you make some more tools and weapons you can build from wood and stuff what comes from that ocean and then can you change barrels that they include rare stuff like wine or beer or waterbotless and can you make character customisation feature and then feature where you can upgrade yourself and your tools and weapons and make bigger cooking stations and stuff like that.
Aaaaaandddd plz let us make doors and walls with planks not just leafs and then let us make windows bigger.
That would be nice little thing that i like in games and im sure many others like that too.
This is open for debate and criticism, i just downloaded the game maybe 5 hours ago and got to the point where i was just sitting around fishing and fighting the shark off for fun and not scavenging because i had so many trees and potatoes growing XD

Possible added features:
Notice: Most of these i saw in previous post but to try and make things easy for the dev's il put them here and try to get most suggestions in one place. if i miss anything please comment.
Character Creation/customization
Sickness - eating raw items and drinking salt water, drains health, slows movement, limits vision, cured by waiting 1 minute or taking anitbiotics
3rd person view
Islands in the background (merely cosmetic, just something other than open ocean)
Wreaked Rafts with loot able items
Move/Pick up placed items - cant tell you how many cokign stations and water purifiers i lost lol, or maybe i missed that control in the instructions
Controller Support
I'm not a computer techie so i don't know how to phrase it but some more quality options for now so well computers or laptops
Sensitivity options
Co-op/Multiplayer
Level System
Day/Night Cycle
Weather Cycle
Larger your base is, the more creatures it attracts
Skills Upgrades - faster swimming, less food/water used when playing, unlock building items
For now that is all i can think of. It is 2 am here so maybe ill think of more stuff and add on to this later. if any dev's read this please comment what you think, id love to hear back, and same to the community who play this. i like to think i hit on most of the main stuff but there is a high possibility i missed something.
Peace fellas, i hope ya'll don't have too much trouble
And to everyone Happy Late New Years
Well, I have played 4 hours straight, and i liked it a lot, But the thing is that all that four hours were spended by doing a big and good looking boat, but when i was in the fourth hour, I mysteriously died, and i remembered that i had low the food, for getting a better final game, I recomend you to put the screen in red when you are dying, also, I would add random special events, like as in a certain moment, a horde of sharks arrives and starts attacking your raft, it would also put more things, like a metal reinforcement to the foundation, or something so that the sharks do not destroy your raft so fast, it would also add a Bow, with his arrows, a spear that can be thrown, not like the one already in the game, I see a lot of potential for this game, and if it will cost money, I would pay something considerable for the game.
;v
Of course people will post duplicate ideas. Since very few will bother read a bunch of previous posts, also waste of time. If You really want to reduce repetitions then you have to have (a link to) a list of suggestions in this first post, frequently updated and preferable with status.
Same with bug reports, but also have an "fixed" section in case of a recurrent one.
Also have an easy option to upload files; pictures and saves and logs. For such I do not like using e-mail or Imgur or similar.
Default put the saves folder below the main game folder.
Maybe later on (when have an install package) an option to select where the save files are stored, without messing with a config file.
Option to fast save in game. Also option to "save as".
Maybe even have an auto save or 3. Then You might have files to request if bugs or issues.
Some thoughts after trying V1.04 some hours.
Looks like it could be a nice game. Just that as is it is very unrealistic, since any larger ocean/water have weather that creates different waves and situations. Coding a raft that moves with waves would be demanding though; Rain, wind, movement, lightning. Add some sense of movement.
Missing a goal to work against, like being rescued. Maybe now and then you get a part to a radio transmitter of some kind.
Or get parts to build signal rockets, to alert planes that passes by very seldom. Air drop option possible too.
Or build the raft to a certain size with stuff/farms. Anyway there ought to be a max size (3D).
Or survive for a certain time, then have to add some hazards along the way. Difficulty could be added by larger debris that can hit the raft and destroy parts.
Canned food and glass jars could also be found in barrels. Option for multiple uses for such items.
Small reefs and islands too could be added. For possible damage to the raft and/or getting special resources, food or materials or whatever.
Some debris could be (large) parts of other rafts or boats, with the ability to salvage stuff. Maybe have to create a long rope to tie to you and your raft. So when time out you get pulled away.
Not sure if should add the possibility to dive (and swim better). Making equipment for diving and catching.
If to add pets then islands and larger debris could contain cats, dogs, chickens, lizards, crabs, and so on.
If you ever had shadows in this game, you will notice pretty fast, that you dont have a player model, just arms floating in the air. I laughed when I saw it the first time - but for the future please create a player model. That can be combined with clothing and/or armor and amybe even a multiplayer mode, where the players can host a server. How about that community?
i think needed sprint for the game i builded big raft and so many time im going the other side what the shark attacktink thanks for read this comment
Hey, I play your game since two days and it is really fun!
I have some ideas to improve your game for an even better playing time.
I hope you can use and some of these ideas and I hope they are realizable.
If you want to ask me more about my ideas sent an email to my account ( I think you know my email adress)
I hope I helped you out a bit with my post.
Keep on working on this fantastic game!
Sincerly LostSide
My only complaints are for realism, the concept and feel of the game are great, keep up the good work!
As a 'MacGyver' type IRL myself, I would, in this situation, take a few precautions with the sharks, specifically I'd have a panel or something, full of sharp spikes, so when it bites the side of the raft it gets a mouthful of sharp rusty tin cans or somesuch.
Also, I applaud you on a plausible water desalination system, although based on the design, not super efficient. IRL I'd build it much more enclosed.
Also, something to think about for the future, it does rain from time to time in the middle of the ocean, a rainwater collector would be a good idea if you ever add weather cycles.
If you want models for any of these I can do them, but I only work in Sketchup.
I would like the following updates to update:
1. Water bottle: to drink 3 times,
2. Add 2 to 3 sharks, to add tension to the game
3. Add more fruits, such as pineapple, banana, mango, and papaya.
4. traps for fish (faces), to hunt more fish,
5. Islands + treasures for a bit of fun
6. The mobility of the boat, it does not look like a boat but a platform
7. Boat parts, after a while change or improve the plates to return them by boat or ship
8. More animals or marine life and add birds of prey or normal
9. Last add glass
what I think will be good is:
more kinds of fish
more weapons (bow would be a good one)
add birds maybe
and the last one I think will be good is or an island in the island there will be maybe animals (like cows) which you can breed and also hostile animals (boar, bear, wolf) will be some great examples. the axe will be more useful there for chopping down trees. and my favorite idea, add canibals or wild people in the island.thanks for reading!!! I love your game developer but I think at least one of these small changes will change this game for good and it will be more fun to play.
I like your ideas because wild animals uff if it would be worth it, Otracosa that I would really love to put treasures or trophies if you understand that if you complete all you win something serious mut mut. To add boats to register
Please if you like my idea I like it if you can see if they imlementan changes
my ideas 1 add more animals such as turtles and seagulls and more types of fish 2 some kind of reinforcement so the shark does not break the ground 3 that when it is day finds to put under the roof not to sunbathe 4 rain night storms and tornadoes 5 mini boats and island to be able to use as base the initial raft 6 fish traps Harpoons 7 cold and hot
This game has so much potential. Although basic at this stage, it is so addictive and fun time killer. Here are a few suggestions:
Keep up the good work developers. Really looking forward to this game.
Hallo,
I have 4 ideas.
1. throwing spears, because running to the shark is often to slow
2. maybe Birds you can cook
3. a multiplayer would be nice, 1 player 1 raft, 2players 2 rafts which are a little bit far away so the one try to go to the other player
4.Difficult, maybe that by easy 0 sharks, normal 1 shark, hard 2 shark which are more aggresive and doing more damage and having a little bit more health (not 3 times stabbing they swim away)
it would be nice if one of them could be done.
Hey everbody! :)
I don't really know if any of these ideas were written here already (I mean there are so many of them...)but I wanted to share some of my ideas with y'all.
My Idea list:
-Islands:I know it sounds pretty strange to add islands in a game where you have to build your own island but just read the following 2 sentences and you'll understand what I mean^^.First of all you can craft a little boat (that breaks after some time in use) with which you can discover some new Islands. On these Island there could be some new resources like Gold, Iron or just some new plants like an Apple Tree or something like that. And after a little time these islands get flooded by waves or they just sink in the deeps of the ocean.
-Maybe new animals: Birds, or fished that we can see (just to make the game look a bit more realistic and interesting)
-Weather and Day-/Nightcycle: As it says, there is day and night and sometimes it is raining, sometimes it is sunny and sometimes there thunder.
-New Weapons and Upgrades:Bow and arrows,a throwable spear (harpoon), torches or candels (to get some light for the night) and maybe some upgrades for some tools that already exist in the game like the axe or the spear.
-(Multiplayer/Co-op-mode)Of course that something that nearly every player want to have in this game but as the developer said, a co-op mode is a big feature and a game like this so we shouldn't expect it in the near future.
Finally i just wanted to say that these a are just my personal ideas and I know that its unlikely that all of these ideas will be added in the game.We all have many ideas and all these ideas are great but the developer is also only a human and he also needs some free time in his life.Just the fact that he puts so much effort into the game, to the community and that he releases the game totally free is really, really awesome and praiseworthy ! :)
I really look forward to new updates and if the developer continues to put so much time and passion into the game, I am confident that this game will have big succes.
Nice weekend to all of you ;)
Raft is my new favorite game but I really like animal games because they do not put a bigger shark like a white shark and the normal shark can tame ymaginense domesticate a tubiron and you can go for the oseano but the other bigger shark you I could kill it I would like it if they were that thanks and keep picking up that beautiful game :D
Hello, really love the game and hope you keep on developing it.
I know it's early days yet but here's some ideas I'd like to see,
Day/Night cycle ( more dangerous at night ) , will need lights.
A dredge, rope and metal, throw in and drag back to scavenge items on the sea bed. ( maybe different metals )
Crab pot, throw in and wait.
Diving, items on sea bed, very dangerous
A diving weight, get down faster
Reinforced wood, takes 2 attacks to fail
More items to craft/build with some sort of automation eventually ( conveyor to empty nets into chests... that sort of thing )
And what about a dolphin, feed it and it brings you items or chases the shark away for a while.
Add a weather system/rain...
Add durability on axes, and other tools...
Add more uses for scrap, scrap fondations...
Add myb a spear gun for sharks
better skin for sharks/other types of sharks
add wrecked ships/special loot in them
myb u can make the palm trees fall when cutting them
add waves
add night/day system
xD i know its too much
You should add Stamina Bar, Campfire, Torches, Day and Night, something special to find in the waters or add a little island at the edge of the map :D, add the ability to swim in the water, not just on top of it. Add glass and plastic so you can do something with them :D, add buckets, carrots, bread, wheat(like you would need to put it on a cooking station or you could add a drying thingy or something) and also please add multiplayer if you can / if you have enough money to run the servers :)!
First of all I really enjoyed playing this game so far, even if it feels a bit clunky.
But the thing I don't like is how fast the thirst and hunger meter drops down. I know it's part of the difficulty in survival games, and I'm sure it will get easier after some playtime. But seriously, this is a major problem with most of the survival games out there. Let's push the thirst and hunger to a way to fast rate, and BOOM you got survival. But that's wrong in my opinion. Drinking 5l water every few minutes is no fun and not even close to be realistic. There should be other ways to make the game more difficult. How about the sun (heat), mental state (panic/fear), diseases etc. The possibilities are kinda endless compared to the simply way out with fast degenerating thirst and hunger meters.
Just a quick idea.
Cheers
New methods of fishing
Creation of boats and docks to explore islands (for example)
fruits
vegetables
New materials
New fish
Beds and cycles day and night
Different foods that feed more or less than other foods
Buckets to contain more water
Lan and online cooperative mode
clothes
temperature
make fire
I love this game! I see a great future!
I was thinking while playing the game if Markiplier would ever play it. And then I thought of something that may attract him, and would be something lots of people would like.
I was thinking about some of Mark's nicknames because he had so many. And I just happened to think of his nickname "Markimoo" when a shark attacked. So Thought it would be pretty awesome & funny if you added a shark that had a pink mustache, an iconic Markiplier image. But make it so that the shark has a 1/1000 chance to spawn when you kill them (when you attack them when they're eating your platforms).
I just thought this would be a cool add-on, like a little Easter Egg :3
Thanks guys I'm a survival game addict and having fun so far. You are on to something here, even in it's current basic state Raft is addictive. You'll make a killing on Steam, should you decide to continue developing Raft as the quality of your game already exceeds some of what is on offer there.
Suggestions: (trying to keep the current state of development of the game in mind)
Potatoes and trees are overly easy to grow - maybe add a watering system (boiled water) to the growth cycle and seriously increase the amount of time it takes food and trees to grow. Different kinds of veg/fruit, as already mentioned, would be grand. Fruit at sea you ask? Well we already have potatoes :D
The hook and fishing rod becomes obsolete very quickly. Once you have potato plots, killed a few sharks, and have built your raft to catch all debris these items are of little use. Suggesting sharks drop less meat, (thereby keeping the fishing rod in play) and shark skin, placoid scales is a source of rawhide leather, which opens a world of opportunities for additional item crafting.
Eventually (I know this is asking a lot) - Day/night cycle as well as rain. Night time and rain decreasing visibility. The cooking station has a pretty nice base, maybe this can be modified into a permanent fireplace of some sort, utilizing wood as fuel to provide a light source on your raft during night time. Fireplace can be upgraded with a shark skin canopy to still be useful while raining. Rain can directly provide water for your plots/trees.
Fleshing out health management by introducing seaweed as a resource? (trying to keep to the lost at sea theme). Traditional Chinese medicine uses hot water extracts of seaweed in cancer and goiter treatment, not too much of a stretch I think for us to use as a source of medicine. Food/water alone should not be enough to recover from a shark bite.
The durability of tools to decrease slowly. Because scrap is easy to come by and quickly enough you start throwing it away.
Horizontal stairs, check. The amount of space needed to built the (very pretty) stairs currently is a bit much to use often. That brings me to another point. The very nice crafting mechanic in Raft begs the player to built something nice and fancy (read big). Whether horizontal or vertical. The shark mechanic of attacking in random areas forces the opposite. If you build too big, (or high) you often risk losing pieces of raft before even reaching the shark.
Two things come to mind. 1 - Shark bait. Using several fish and rope (and a coconut for buoyancy?), tying shark bait in the sea to the raft/dropping it near the raft, to attract the shark attacks to a certain area, with a limited lifetime. 2 - Some kind of repairable fortification that can withstand more than one shark attack, or requires a longer attack before being destroyed. High resource cost (lots of scrap) to limit how many you can build in a given time, thereby not entirely negating the danger of shark attacks. Other restrictions can be imposed on fortified tiles by not being able to fish over, use the hook or fill up your tin can in that area. Already I've found surrounding my raft with cheap to make nets on all sides greatly reduces the danger of sharks destroying tiles with important structures, especially pillars. Regularly rebuilding nets because I was busy on the 2nd floor and could not reach the shark in time becomes a chore after a while.
make it have little bit story like fall from ship or something like that
And also ad some mechanic
Example: u can make computer chip wrench Etc
And you also can make radio and something else to comicate to people
also item that can detect your coordinate so people can help like helicopter
I have another idea too like a Day time they use shark but at night the shark sleep
so u can explore under water too find some item
Example:seaweed ,soil (for tree i mean where the soil comefrom if not from under water),rocks, coral,Etc)
Hello my name is Lucas why you can not make it so with the metal the same things as from wood building that would be really cool because thus you do not have to constantly repair as the wood so needs the hai longer to break it, And it would be nice a few torches and a bed reinstall and the the box has more space and you can make a better spear tinker and thus also chase fish and a wurfspeer so that the hai can be harm from further away that would be My ideas for a patch because I find it so cool but also somehow boring ;) LG ALBILP
