And thanks a lot for the offer! A discord server dedicated to both of my games is in the works, I currently just missing the time and experince to work on that, so that probaly will take still a while until that may go public and currently is not my priority. The demo is already aviable for my patreon member, so it has some testing and I can assure most stuff will work, (mainly balancing will probaly need a lot more fine tuning) but I would recommend waiting for the demo release here since that is free.

Unfortunately the demo wont come out any faster, I am planning to do as lot of polishing as I can until release^^

Is there a good place specifically to report typos and bugs? I noticed one during the tutorial fight with the witch, she says "you're still want to give up? You're certainly have some determination" when she should probably be saying something like "You still don't want to give up? You certainly have some determination."

hello! I honestly think this game is pretty good overall

  1. While a little repetitive, it's rare that each run will be the same
  2. It has a decent amount of enemies
  3. I (predictably) LOVE the starting companion! If I hadn't known that they also use to be a human I would've 100% pet them X3
  4. The characters (even the Main Character) have clear personalities; ex: the Librarian is clearly bored but tries to be polite and helpful (my favorite)
  5. combat isn't that bad, just a little slow

But I do have a few issues.

  1. Trying to transform into 1 of the creatures FULLY without getting 1 of the other creatures is... really tedious. Maybe for the final product, instead of having the player rely on complete RNG; you could maybe add a toggle that lets you know what you will interact with for the TF-focused items
  2. The mini-bosses (floor bosses) are a little repetitive
  3. I was honestly a little startled by the lack of enemy-related transformations. Sure, I didn't encounter ALL the enemies, and we DO have the witch, but something small like a fairy temporarily turning the MC into a cute bug would've been a nice touch
  4. The starting form changer has a weird bug that (temporarily) breaks the status checker and makes it block part of the screen when you exit it... in a slightly creepy way

3. Glad to hear you like her^^ I do plan on adding more "true" animal companions.

4. One thing that came short is cutscences and dialogue besides the intro. But I am glad to hear you think so! I do plan on giving them all more screen time in the future.

As for the feedback on improvments, I do tgink all of them sound like good points!

1. Yeah getting a full tf or getting certain parts can be rather hard, that's definitely something I plan to work on. Maybe some kind of field or artefact that lets the player choose one part they want. Definitely something I will think about more!

2. Currently the mini bosses have no vararity, mainly because it takes long to come up and draw many enemy designs but that is something I definitly plan to expand on. In general more varity is planed for tf's, artefacts and floor layouts. Planning to work on that over time.

3. The idea of enemy related transformations actually never crossed my mind tbh. But i do find the idea funny. Definitly will think about that. The biggest problem would be how to handle the tf's in battle from a gameplay standpoint. If a fairy would turn her into a bug for exsample, would it makes sense to replace all her skills with bug related one temporarly, etc. Currently cant think of a good way to make it work in gameplay but the idea is great, thanks!

heya again! decided to see what happens if I let the 1st 3 enemies in the tutorial beat me (lol), and saw that in the 3 fights when I purposefully lose, they end with the PC regaining 1 hp and reappearing all fine and dandy. the trap, on the other hand, resets everything

Maybe there can be some secret dialogue for the 1st 2 defeats, acknowledging the defeat, a secret bat transformation for the 3rd defeat that lasts the rest of the tutorial, and a secret scene of the Librarian saving the PC from the trap :D

Yup I actually thought of that, making sure losing would be not trigger any strange reset but I migth have forgotten the trap, oops^^"

Will fix this in the next patch, will be out somewhere this week, together with a lot of other fixes!

Also those are really funny ideas, will add a secret achievment and dialogue for losing to them in the next patch as well. A bat tf certainly would be fun, hopefully manage to implement some in the future^^

I now realized that this game is huge. I already spent s few hours in it.

This probably depends on which version of RPG maker you are using:

Is it possible to allow using the mouse instead of the keyboard to control the game?

I have seen other RPG maker games do it, and I find it much easier.

Yes it is possible, I actually disabled it for testing purposes. I can enable it for the next patch, I currently working on some bug fixes and willl throw add that. Should be up this weekend.

I'm finding individual runs to be lengthier than I'd like and the lack of saves really isn't helping. Is there a way to quicksave when I'm done? I don't mind having a limited amount of saves during a run, but it would be really nice if I could just put down the game for a while and come back to it exactly where I left off.

As for saving I could enable it, I would just wory that people would use it for constant save scumming. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome!

I will add a battle animation speed option in the next patch, that should greatly help improve time saving.

I know in RPGMaker VX you can set events to play on load with a plugin though I know this is made with a different version. Looking into things a bit more there is a script command to delete saves in some versions as well. Perhaps you could use an autosave plugin and have loading a save delete the autosave? Generally those use save slot 0. It wouldn't be a perfect fix, players could still load the autosave once, but if it only autosaves at the start of a floor anyone who gets in over their head likely won't be able to escape even with a second chance.

I really like the game!

I found the progression system fun as almost every new run had new items and scenarios to find. I'll look forward to seeing the release of it!

As for the feedback, I suggestion, I feel like there's a lack of items or characters that directly transform the player... I don't know whether corruption influences this or not since I always kept it at a low level. But there's times where I felt like the only way the tf is present in the game is through the traps and some rare items.

I'd suggest adding cursed items or npcs that fully transform the protagonist into a certain species and locks then until they reach a certain objective, like reaching a level of corruption, paying money to the shopkeeper, etc.

Or since getting to become a full species is difficult, I think it would be nice if there were a special ability you could have only if you were fully transformed.

Speaking of becoming species, I'm not sure what DNA affects other than changing the *path* and raise corruption. I tried getting a lot of it but didn't see a change of neither personality or form...

Another thing that I noticed is that the companion, after the introduction... Really doesn't interact with the player after that, nor it impacts the experience further from their initial abilities. For that I'd suggest that they should also be able to get tfed, but into other companion forms like birds, snakes etc. And also have their own mastery over forms so that they could also get to learn new abilities.

My final suggestion, is, if possible, *really* speed up the animation of the buffs and debuffs, and also allow for automatic use of them for powerful enemies. I say this, because a lot of time of the experience for me was waiting for the animations to finish. So I can begin the fights properly.

I know these are a lot of things to ask, but I believe they would improve the  experience.

I hope you take these suggestions not as criticism but as ideas that I thought of while I playing the game. Nevertheless, I still had a lot of fun, and I'm thankful of being able to enjoy it and look forward to it's future.

And no worries, I am quite happy about the detailed feedback! Just saying the game is fun is a compliment I take but it dosen't help the game to evolve and get better. I'm happy to get some feedback on things that could be improved or added. It helps making the game more fun to play^^

That isunfortunately true. You are not wrong, most tf' s are eitehr gotten through tf items or traps. A few also can be gotten through rare items and random events but those are more uncommon. I definitely plan to expand on more tf items. Just takes a lot of time to draw and programm them in. But more will come! Another feature proposed that I am toying around with it: That enemies have transformation skills as well.

I also find your idea for a item that gievs a full tf very interessting. Will write that down, thanks!

It isn't explained in game but you actually do get up to three passive abilites based on how many parts of the same tf you have. For the last one you often need all body parts except one or two.

As for DNA it affects how much corruption you gain and the multiplyer of that tf's body parts. More dna corruption makes it easier to get the three passive abilities while having less parts required.

Currently the game is missing some tutorials, so I can understand the confusion on those.

I plan on much more dialogue and interactions, it simply wasn't something I had more time to flesh it out. But I do plan on adding more dialogue to give all characters more time to shine. I also like the idea of the companion getting other forms, that is a neat idea thanks^^

Animation speed is a good point. If evertyhing goes well I will be included a option to make it faster in a patch this weekend that adresses this issue.

I think all your points were pretty good, it will take time but i do think I certainly can improve on all those areas. Thanks a lot for playing and the feedback. It is very welcomed!

Enjoying the game. Finding a couple of things confusing though. Like what do the Trait mutation potions do?

You get up to three passive traits that change depending on the body parts you have. If you get a passive you really want to keep over the run you can lock it, preventing it from getting changed.

How do I tell which is the passive it's referring too? And where do I see those passives?

They are listed under passive skills. They named: [Animal Name] Trait (Passive Name)

For exsample you start with three human passive trait skills. One was called:  Human Trait "Animal Friend"

Is the inscription solvable? I havent found any sort of hint for it?

Yup it is just a bit hard. If you like a pointer: One bookshelf in the dungeon (in a run) might give you a direction and hint how to solve it and find the code.

Would it be possible for there to be a toggle for the starting species selector to keep the species you chose so you dont have to reselect it each run?

Yes, I think that would be possible. I will write that down on my list for possible features and ideas.

Could it be made so Evolution favors body parts you have, went trough multiple runs where I never got one for any of the species i was using

Technically speaking that should be possibly. Probably won't be anytime soon since writing code that influence probability of constant changing factors is long and painful. But it would be a nice thing to have definitely. I will write it down. Maybe I manage to implement it somewhere before the full release. Thanks a lot for the nice suggestion!

Also Bird Admirer achievement should be changed to specify which of the birds it requires, Griffin and Harpy get referred to as just "bird" a lot

just some questions i want to know

1. how exactly are tf mastery points obtained?

2. for the "complete a run without buying anything from any shop" achievement, does that include the forge or alter? or can i still use those?

1. Mainly through any kind of transformations. Each time a transformatio happens through a tf item, random event or trap you gain +2 Mastery points for that transformation. Winning a run gives 10 tf mastery for every unlocked transformation.

Things like modifications and some artefacts can increase this basic values. For exsample if you had three modifications on that all give +1 tf mastery each, every tf mastery gain would be +5 instead  then.

2. Forges and altar does not count. Only the shop, lottery and the traveling merchants from random events count.

Yup every item, event or artefact that cause a tf grants points toward that tf.

Maybe should have specified. You only get points if you take them. Just seeing them and not taking them does not give any points.

I'd like to second this. After completing 3 whole runs where I picked up every tf item, stepped on every magic circle, and took every cursed object offered, I only have about 19-21 TF mastery points for each of the starting species. Not to mention the dozens of runs where I failed before completing it.

It feels near impossible to level these masteries, and very unclear on how you are supposed to advance them.

One further investigation I did find one wierd bug.

TF Items spots and TF Traps seem to give none tf mastery under certain conditions. That could explain a lower tf gain than intended.

I will fix that and update the script for mastery gain in the coming patch. Thanks a lot for pointing that out^^

What are the requirements to unlock the fox spirit? Excellent game so far! Excited to see all you do with it.

Winning one run, then it can be unlocked in the right perk tree to appear in runs. The perk is star shaped so it's easy to spot.

I've already played a lot of races. but I ran into the problem of not counting several achievements for opening perks. For example, I can't unlock TF lamia because it doesn't count as opening a transformation potion. Either I'm doing something wrong, even though the transformation potion has been studied in the perks.

I still don't understand how to make the conditions for opening TF dragon, as I don't understand how to fix a broken coin. 
Well, for the little things, is there any way to make battle animations faster, otherwise they sometimes make runs for several hours.

I would also like the main character to have some kind of reaction to TF. It doesn't feel like GG is transforming at all and doesn't react to it in any way. I would really like to see her reactions to everything that is happening to her.

The requirement for Lamia was just, using tf fields a bunch of times right? The spots with the tf icon that appear on floors. Maybe there is just some kind of misunderstanding?

There is a shop that can appear in random event spots (and later unlocked to appear in the regular shop) that allows you to remove cursed artefacts. This shop also offers to repair the broken coin.

In the options menu there is an option for battle speed. Did you try that?

More dialogue and story are both planned in the future, they just haven't taken priority in development since I first wanted to make the gameplay feel fun. There will be more dialogue in the future, just can't say when.

Unfortunately I only have patreon. Sorry to hear it does not work from russia, had no idea that would be a thing-_-

I also wanted to ask about TF other parts of the werewolf's body besides the ears and tail. Are they in the game and how do I get them?

Nope they are special tf's who only consist of a few parts currently. Most of tgem like werewolf have only two or even one. They may get nore in the future.

Hey, could you please add a potion for seeing "invisible" tiles? They're really hard to find. It might be rare, but I've only found three zones that can be accessed via non-existent tiles.

I guess you are talking about the books and signs that can be found and read in certain spots?

All of these have small visual clues. Spots with readable books are always marked with a bookshelfs and Signs are marked with well signs. They serve more as small secrets to find.

One more question. why do these and a number of other relics have repeated use in the inventory after receipt? moreover, they disappear after use. In addition to the drill, a pickaxe is also used, a pistol made in the forge is crossed from 2x, as well as a flower crossed from two. and some other items?

also, as mentioned earlier, there is a problem with determining the character traits of their 3, but which of them is which in the count is not determined to use the potion, it would be great to simply number them so that each of the potions is responsible for "Trait 1" "Trait 2" "Trait 3" for example

It' tied to the wrong achievment. That's why it's not open.

You currently need to complete the Achievment "Win a run without using Save Flames."

Game is good but after one freeze screen i must Close game and after got relaunch game i got shock my save with 5 hours gameplay was nowhere - my problem was Playing game from rar/7z files and the game doesn't save file edits in a rar/7z file (because so far it always asked me "Do you want to save changes in a rar/7z file and I said YES and here nothing)

You need to unpack the zip/rar file. That should solve it.

Is it true you are from australia or some other location that has laws against NSFW games?if so, would the law prohibiting NSFW games to be made no longer be an issue if you didn't have a patreon or something (kinda hard to say if the patreon would even count regarding the law since its for the dev of the game, its not like you need to pay to get the game even, and iirc there isn't exclusive patreon content either. not sure if that matters to that law though.) since it seems like the law is mainly for stuff that charges money? i'm not entirely sure though, does it target NSFW stuff that is free as well? or only paid stuff. (also a free NSFW patch wouldn't get around it either, right?) either way it might get around that first issue, but ofc it'd lead to an issue of no money. which would obviously be a problem. but idk if that is accurate to the situation though. so I am asking here as I am merely curious if that is true.

I am not from Australia but from Germany, which has one of the more extreme censorship rules then it comes to nsfw video games. It is very comparable to Australia when it comes to adult games with sexual stuff in it as far as I heard.

For example, all nsfw adult rated games on steam are banned and cannot be accessed in Germany. I am aware there exist a few games with actual sexual content like witcher 3 who are available uncensored here as well but that is the only game I am aware off right now.

There might be some work arounds like a patch or other means but those are often considered a grey area, somewhere between the law. And yes, I think earning money with it would also cause problems in germany too. But I could be wrong and some information outdated, I am not too informed, I just try to avoid nsfw to stay out of trouble.

I don't want to risk my luck and later end up with jail or need to pay fines, so I just keep everything sfw.

How does one lose the knife?

The most easy way is to sell it once you have unlocked the sell feature at the shop.

You also can lose it in certain random events when getting bad outcome but that is not a reliable way.

i first played this in the recent tf jam and iv racked a good 17 hours so far more than some indie or AAA games in my steam library so my question is when you finish this will it be free or what is a cost you intend to place on the final purchase? asking because this is a genuinely fun game and in my honest opinion bar none the best one in the jam this year.

I actually haven't decided yet, mainly I wanted to see how much interest the demo gathers in the first place. Since the feedback has been very positive and also helpful I definitely plan on keep developing it into a full game with a lot more varitiy and new stuff.

So I unfortunately can't say that yet, currently my focus on in developing the game. Once that is done I will think about that. As for price, I also have no idea yet since I don't know how big the scope may get but in no case I would plan to sell it for very much.

Hey, I know this sounds crazy... But is it possible to remap the F1-F12 keys? Because my cat pressing F5 has reset my progress more than four times already. And these runs lasted for several hours.

Yeah that absolutely sounds crazy and more than a joke than anything O.O As a cat owner myself I can say that cats are rather unpredictable^^"

But to answer the question: I guess that would be posssible. Would have to look into it. Also you can save in runs up to 4 times by default. So at least you could save once in every layer to prevent some progress lost until then.

A few more questions: is it intended for a player to be able to pick up the same item multiple times? So, pick up an item, craft something from it, and then pick up the original item again?

You mean the forge to combine artefacts I assume.

Currently it is intended. I put no limitations on the artefact pool. After a artefact is lost in any way it can be found again.

Once the game has a ton more of artefacts I may change it but for now it is intended.

First of all, nice code riddle. It was fun to find right answer to it.

Still don't know how to get to the area with lots of chests on lava in third stage dungeons. 

Trait potions comfuse me, is it possible to show somehow what it makes permament like with eternity potion(for body parts)?

And one more thing, probaly I miss somewhere. Do you get Animal mastery only from TFs, or by using related abilities too?

The idea is pretty good! Will add a preview what it chenges once I have some spare time^^

You mainly get them through the tf's. As well as some random events, artefacts and winning a run. Using the skills does not grant any additional mastery.

Also have seen same things like on the hub areas before dungeons. 

About dragon gold skin. Would be nice if it was more yellow and bright, for now it looks more like earth dragon. But it's only my opinion and no force to change it. Also lines on dragon hand TF are transparent, or have lower than layer than fox ears (seen it with dragon gold skin and fox snow)

Is it possible to get enough gems to open all skins? For now I've done almos all achievements and open almost all traits, and looks like there is no more gems for skins to get and min 3 are still locked.

And about traits, the one that gives key exchange to credits at the run end isn't open (I've definitely von a run and have more than 20 other traits open)

Seems to have been a layering problem. Thanksa  lot for report, will fix that!

If I not messed up the counting there should be 14 gems to unlock skins but there are 16 skins in total. So two can't be unlocked. More will come with updates. In the full game it will be possible to unlock all.

Yeah I made a mistake. Currently for unlocking it another achievment is requited instead. It's "Winning a run without using a save flame." instead of "Winning a run." Will fix that with a update.

Just wanted to tell that I've got it with "Winning a run without using a save flame." XD
And haven't get Bird admier achievment with 4/6 harpy parts... Will try to do 6/6 later.

About 3 leaf clover, is it possible to get it with high luck?

Slime TF have visible line between upper and lower parts of the skin (blue one)

For the autobattle feature, is it possible to add switch to use only buffs and debuffs that don't end turn and don't block abbilities?

Well 6/6 harpy parts haven't help me to get that achievement. How can I share my save file?

About 3 leaf clover. Is it possible that I haven't encounter its event because I've got 4 leaf clover from relic spot in the begining of the run? Have send it to the chest with curse shop, so I had ~10 points of luck, and tried to savescam events to get it, but no event with fields occur. Tried it on third hub area.

And got a few nasty bugs.

1. Probbably because of 5 locked TFs(harpy parts) some time game stucked when should get TF from cursed field, or TF artifact. I have icon of this field, or tf artifact, but no text and game don't react.

2. When I made infinite stock for the shop and tried to buy gems for the forge, it keep spending gold on it and max gems stopet on 12, when in the shop it tells that max is 15.

3. After this run I had 2 shapeshifter crystall and both of them spended on the succubus skin, when shoul be only 1.

No item prevents a event from appearing but tehre are two other factors:

-Four Leaf Clover event only spawns in the Underground Gardens.

-Each event only can spawn once per Layer. 1 time in Catacombs, Gardens and Magma Caverns. So that event ususally only can spawn once per run in the Gardens.

1. There was a bug with the Lizard TF item that caused a softlock loop with too many Lizard parts to not choose any option. So that may be the cause? You're talking about Cursed Artefact Spots or what are you refering to with cursed spots?

2. The game setting definitely say the max is 15. I will test it out myself to check.


3. I looked at it but could spot no unusual thing. I will also try it out myself and report back if I spot anything unusual.

2. I might found what could caused the confusion. I could buy up to 15 but the counter on the menu does not update. But the 15 were listed under KeyItems. Maybe that's why you thought you only had 12.

3. I bought it any only lost one Shapeshifting Crytsal so I couldn't find anything odd.

Is there any chance we'll be able to make Guide a permanent 'companion' later on? ... Assuming he stops trying to bad end us every five seconds.

Aaa, but that's the clever part... See, finding a useful minion is rare— Rare enough that one might want to change their plans with more of an eye towards keeping their new minion, as well as helping a bit with their lack of foxiness. No point in wasting resources by driving them crazy. :3

Yeah finding useful people can be quite hard! And they definitely just trying to help by granting their new minion friend better senses that unfortunately come with some foxiness as a side effect. But surely nothing to worry about :3

Well, of course... Being cute and fluffy is clearly an upgrade! And hosting a nice kitsune like that might have some side effects benefits... After all, who could say no to more fluffy tails~? And, it'd probably be easier to use any new kitsune powers without limit— Though, of course, your new friend is also very old and knowledgeable— The more integrated you get, the more they help you out by actively directing you. After all, why wouldn't you want to listen to the more experienced kitsune~? :3
