revisiting the game, and as someone who could figure out any of the transformations the 1st time around, I actually got to see 1 of the tfs this time! (Fennec Fox!)
tbh I sort of expected a feral transformation, but I understand why you didn't do that ^^ (maybe you can make that an option in a future patch!)
I really like the game! You don't have to add the suggestions if you don't want to I just think it would be neat to see these
Bug:
In the regular build, there's HEAVY rubber banding for the player's Mii. I don't know if it's just on my end, but it makes it unplayable </3
Suggestions (3 feature adjustments and 4 transformations):
- End screen shows the final state of the Mii (possibly with a unique animation based on whether a transformation is complete or not and what form they are in).
- Option to skip transformations if they are fine with their Mii's current form.
- Option for a full-on feral transformation if the player's Mii has all 3 parts of a transformation (eyes, hair, and accessories don't change on most forms for simplicity's sake)
- Bird transformation (Slows the player and their dash, but adds 1 jump per partial transformation. They lose a jump if they choose to change a part. Unlocks a glide for a complete transformation.)
- Fox transformation (Similar to wolf transformation, just slightly slower with a faster parry)
- Bull/Cow transformation (Slows Player, but their dash and HP go up)
- Snake transformation (Shortens the Player's dash and parry, but the Player's speed is heavily buffed)
heya again! decided to see what happens if I let the 1st 3 enemies in the tutorial beat me (lol), and saw that in the 3 fights when I purposefully lose, they end with the PC regaining 1 hp and reappearing all fine and dandy. the trap, on the other hand, resets everything
Maybe there can be some secret dialogue for the 1st 2 defeats, acknowledging the defeat, a secret bat transformation for the 3rd defeat that lasts the rest of the tutorial, and a secret scene of the Librarian saving the PC from the trap :D
hello! I honestly think this game is pretty good overall
- While a little repetitive, it's rare that each run will be the same
- It has a decent amount of enemies
- I (predictably) LOVE the starting companion! If I hadn't known that they also use to be a human I would've 100% pet them X3
- The characters (even the Main Character) have clear personalities; ex: the Librarian is clearly bored but tries to be polite and helpful (my favorite)
- combat isn't that bad, just a little slow
But I do have a few issues.
- Trying to transform into 1 of the creatures FULLY without getting 1 of the other creatures is... really tedious. Maybe for the final product, instead of having the player rely on complete RNG; you could maybe add a toggle that lets you know what you will interact with for the TF-focused items
- The mini-bosses (floor bosses) are a little repetitive
- I was honestly a little startled by the lack of enemy-related transformations. Sure, I didn't encounter ALL the enemies, and we DO have the witch, but something small like a fairy temporarily turning the MC into a cute bug would've been a nice touch
- The starting form changer has a weird bug that (temporarily) breaks the status checker and makes it block part of the screen when you exit it... in a slightly creepy way

Hehehe! I can tell that you can tell who the Legally Distinct Yellow Pony is and where they're from! Honestly I only really suggested the 2 painting related transformations cause I didn't see any on the transformation list, I didn't realize they were tied to a hidden treasure lol. It doesn't really have to BE a fox specifically, if there's a different animal you think would fit better you can use that ^^
Also oof to the Cat/Dragon transformations, hopefully you'll be able to clean those up without breaking them
Here's some ideas!
- Legally Distinct Yellow Pony: turn an old TV on and watching what comes on (TV dies right after)
- Painter Fox: take all grabbable paintings then take a nap
- Painting of a Fox Couple: take all grabbable paintings then take a nap, then explore the garden, find the lab, and mess up
- Cat-like Dragon: get pretty greedy, find the necklace, then put it on
- Dragon-like Cat: Find the necklace, take it off after a bit longer, then get greedy
that's all I can come up with ;u;

I made a Tier Maker for the game's various transformations! below is the link to the tier list, above is my personal rankings :3

I am talking about the shadows that spawn in during the Dark latex King boss fight... I don't know how to be more specific than that... I understand that you want to keep true to the original game but you have to make the bosses winnable. I'm sorry if I'm sounding pretty mean but... it's hard enough to dodge those spikes that spawn in.
