I was not sure when I started playing, at 31 I want more. Bravo!

These are shots of my new game.  It is a work in progress.

Haven't been able to get back to this for a bit, more fixes to come.  Fixed the scaling bug.  Either a progression save or some kind of weapon upgrade may come next. Time will tell.  Currently working on porting a mobile version.

Good idea, I'll look into adding that after the jam. Thanks.

I'm glad you enjoyed the game.  Yes. Douglas Adams, being one of my favorite authors, was an influence on the theme.

Thank you, I think the cool down timer for shooting is ticking before the first shot is fired rather than after.   I did have upgrades like rapid fire, multi directional fire etc, planed as well but I tried to keep the scope small.  Maybe in the future. Cheers!

It's neat, I may have payed a bit aggressively,  I got a laugh out of it.

Thank you for playing! I'm not sure what you mean, as you can 'move' vertical but only shoot horizontal.

It's fun. bit tricky to get the jump mechanic down.

Nothing but a huge HTML/ITCH.IO error popup for me. Firefox 138.0.4 (64-bit). on Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS

The concept of Horror+Mini-Golf is interesting...  Mashups like this have worked in the past (Belatro comes to mind).   A bit more work on the mechanics maybe, I  seemed to shoot right through what I'm assuming are supposed to be bumpers.

Cool game, worked fine in Firefox for me, until I hit a water hazard on the 2nd level, then had to alt-tab to get mouse back.   I could see this concept being expanded into something that would sell on steam.

I like the story, artwork, music all match the theme really well.  I did have a little trouble with the jump/wall/jump to other wall bits, could maybe be a bit of browser input lag?

Neat idea, fun to play.  Its a bit hard to see the bugs attacking from the bottom or lower sides as you can't see their eyes as well.

I really like the way the shots bend around the world.  The controls are a bit sluggish, but it kinda matches the aesthetics.  Very nicely done.

Thank you for playing, I actually expected the player to go right, since that was the initial way the ship was facing.  But I can see putting one or 2 of the enemies just within the screen as a cookie-crumb to lead the player, thanks!.

Very nice,  the spikes are a bit hard to see on the second level but a fun little game.

The game looks good, sadly I was unable to play, as soon as I clicked and looked up the mouse got stuck.  Then all it would do is rotate around while still looking directly up.

Using Firefox 138.0.4 (64-bit) on Ubuntu.

Thank you, I may add that in a future version.

Thank you!  Since this was my fist Game Jam and with the holiday weekend I was not sure how much time I would have. I wanted to be sure to finish the game so I set the scope low.

For some reason it will not run in my browser, I get the unity loading screen and the progress bar freezes about 75%. The other submissions seem to be working.  I am using Firefox 138.0.4 (64-bit) on Ubuntu.

Thank you, I developed it on a 4k monitor, I didn't notice any bug until accessing it on a laptop with 1080.  I am new to exporting to HTML so will look into fixing it, Thank you!

My bad, yes when shining the light. I do like the idea of making the bug into a feature, so you can only kill so many at one time.  Cheers!

I'm not sure what the concept is, type to hear AI generated conversations?

It took me a minute but, once I got the mechanics it's a very cool concept.  Tons of potential for story telling.

There are a couple minor bugs, seems like if you are in collision you have to exit the area and go back in when scanning.  Other than that, its a really neat concept and kinda chill game.  The ambient music matches the game play really well,

Thank you for the comments,  I did look at having the ship  fire in a 360 but with the holiday weekend here in the US I really didn't have a ton of time,  You have a point about the borders, I thought about just some asteroid sprites or something but with the time frame I just cheated and clamped the players movement.  Glad you enjoyed it.

Has, potential, as PawnxPawn pointed out, without the mouse being captured I did have to alt tab and realign the mouse a couple times, also the collision on the muffins could be a bit larger.   However, overall very nice for a gamejam entry.

The dash mechanic and effect/sound work really well together.

Tiny World Sweeper:

Can you earn your promotion?

As I am starting to play all of the wonderful submissions the best tip I can give to  all of the new developers out there is this:

Please, change the default splash screen. It's a bit disheartening to see Godot or Unity rather than an actual screen for the game.

Not sure what is going on but my browser it won't run properly.  Mouse looks up and that's about it.  Firefox 138.0.4 (64-bit) on Ubuntu.

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Thank you! Sorry you didn't get the promotion :).

Pretty cool. I like the weapon variation.

Seems like Godot + itch is really web friendly, I already turned an older game from a DL only to HTML, thanks again for the advise.

Thanks for the info, I'm using Godot, I know how to do Windows, Linux and Android.

I haven't done anything web yet and no idea how to do that on itch.  Not sure at this point if I would have the time, but I will keep it in mind for next time.   I guess for this one Windows and Linux versions will have to do.

Cheers!

Douglas Adams, Vorgon inspired 2d shooter, those pesky tiny worlds in the way of the galactic bypass.

Looking good, the gauge for the shield is nice.
