This game was a really fun detective game. The neat reflection graphics you managed to pull off was amazing. Amazing work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Diego worked really hard on those reflections! Hahaha : D

Great fun!  Found all the spots, taped together all the photos, opened and entered the... not going to spoil it for others :P  Enjoyed the art and gameplay.  Well done!

P.S. - Great credits lol

Thank you! We're glad you enjoyed it! We plan on turning it into a full game, so follow us if you want to get news on that : )

This is a funny and very well made adventure game. I especially love the games music and the story. I am not a big fan of the ending, but at least it has an ending. Overall a really good jam game. Well done.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! The end is a bit abrupt, we know! Hahaha. We're planning on expanding the game later on, with more puzzles, characters, dialogues  and a new ending. Follow us if you want to get news on that front : )

Nice story, but I can't find the last piece of the picture.

Developer

Try looking at the picture in your inventory with the magnifier and the ctrl key

Developer(+1)

Hey Mika, like Diego said, you need to interact with the toilet picture and then go to the toilet again to find  a new clue. There's also a piece behind one of the doors that most people don't find. Let us know if you manage to finish it! :

Submitted

Hey, yeah I managed to find all of those; I was missing the one from under the rug in the central room. This time I got a couple more pieces, but I'm stuck again. I did get the pieces at the toilet, table and bed; though I couldn't complete the next photo.

Developer

Did you use the key to open the closet? And the one when you close the door inside the bedroom?

Submitted

Yeah, I got the one in the closet. Though, I didn't realise that there are also hidden pieces that can only be accessed by closing doors. I would say that's not very intuitive to players.

Developer

We updated the game with a little hint to get that polaroid piece, and a lot of other things. And you can play if from the browser if you want, check it out  : )

7 hours of solid sleep? That IS magic. lol I have always enjoyed these styles of clue gathering detective games, you did a great job!

Developer(+2)

Thank you! I'm going to be playing your game in a few minutes : )

I love your reference to the good old Lucas Arts games. I missed those game too! I had a great time playing your games as you put tons of easter eggs in it :)
I was expecting to click and play with the mouse, not with the arrow key when I started. I got confuse ;)

The pixel art and sounds are great.

It seems there are some bug with the event system... like I had to go outside a room and come back before finally get the piece of pictures the polaroid shown.
How does the magnyfying glass in the inventory works? It looks a bit random, I opened and close the inventory and it just move from polaroid to polaroid pieces... I didn't undestand how it worked...

However, I managed to get to the end, and I found it a bit abrupt lol, I expected a piece of hilarious dialogue here. I think there is a missed opportunity ^^

Thanks for making this game, it was great ! I hope you make more, and revive the genre!

Thank you so much for playing and for the feedback! We're working on ver1.1 to fix most of the issues you mentioned. The biggest one is that you need to interact with the picture to get the new clue. And now after you get the pieces together and fix each pic, the game auto interacts with it. I think the biggest issue was that we clearly show the clue in the pic, so players thought "oh, I got this" and went ahead to investigate the place without actually interacting with the picture first, we're updating the game as soon as the jam ends : )
The inventory should be straightforward to use, just move the magnifying glass with the arrows and then interact on the pieces or pics with Ctrl. if that doesn't work let me know and we'll check it out!
We do plan on expanding this game/story, so make sure to follow us to get the latest updates! : D

I'm playing your game right now, will rate it as soon as I finish it!

oh, I couldn't move the magnifying glass in the inventory... so I just open and close the inventory, and eventually, the glass was a the right spot lol

I am looking forward your next update !

Developer

Weird, we're looking into it, so far no one reported any issues like that. We're trying to repro it so we can fix it. Thank you for mentioning it!

Holy crap that ending- it actually threw me way offguard! Actual chills!! I'd say overall you got the tone down pat, the smooth noir music and dialogue fit really well and transitioned nicely into the ending. I struggled with hitboxes a little to click on clues properly but that was only a minor thing. I also loved the little touches added to the visuals like the player sprite resizing as they approached the camera. Great game overall though! Thanks for the experience! :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the nice comments! We're working on ver1.1 and we're fixing that thing you mentioned, and also adding a few details that had to be cut because we couldn't make them work in time, like a lighter at the last scene, a mirror image on the bathroom and better interaction with the pictures once you get the pieces. Thank you so much for playing! : D

Oh sweet, I'm keen to check it out when it's released then :D
