Nice arcade! for future version would be awesome to have more juiceeee.

The mechanic is simple and elegant, good job!

We also submitted our game on Godot https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/462215 if you want to test it out.

The trail effects and particles are really great!  The controls felt responsive too! I really liked how on the blade impacts there are little damage numbers that pop up, very satisfying! ( I want to learn how to do that)  Great job!! Please check out https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/461493 if you have time~

Did you ever want to be a shuriken-throwing spider trying to kill and avoid weird horror creatures?

Well then you will love this game! It's quite original and fun to play.

I was trying to remember why I like the worm creatures when I realised they're inspired by terraria! I love that they bounce on walls and their length shrinks when they are hit. They are definitely me favourite.

Hey, we made a godot game too. Check it out!

Great game! Enjoyed the juicyness/game feel a ton. My biggest piece of feedback would be to focus on interactions with the saw. Since the core mechanic of the game revolves around throwing and catching the saw, those should be the most fun part of gameplay. All that being said, this game is fantastic in terms of a well executed, simple idea made fun.

One blade to rule them all! I like the feel of the game, it feels punchy when the blade cuts through the enemies, and the little effects here and there spices things up.  Good job! :)

Had a good time playing! My biggest combo was 3! It got a little monotonous after a while, but for a game jam game, it was great! I felt I needed a little more interaction with my blade!

Like the style! Wish you could do more with the blade - possibly recall it to you to change the direction? It felt a lot like luck to get a good score. Got more interesting as more enemies spawned though. Good job :)

I like this game, and enjoy the playthrough. But I didn't like that the saw flies eternally, it'll be better, if you make saw slowdown gradually.

That's I added the sharpness mechanic to help counter that, but I suppose it can be a little hard to understand at face value. Thanks for playing!

Sarpness is a good mechanics, however it's hard to get the saw back because of the speed.

Developer(+1)

Ah yeah, I hadn't considered that. I'll be sure to keep that in mind!

Very nice! I only wish I had some more control over the blade - maybe if blade could "curve" a little around main character as if they had gravity to them?

Didn't expect this varaety of interesting enemies. Greate job!

Thank you! I hadn't considered making the blade curve towards the player, in my mind the predictable bouncing was easier to line up shots with. That said, I want to revisit this idea later, and I might try something like that then!

I really like this, the style and the execution, plus it's right on theme!

The only nitpicks I'd have is I'd like the ability to turn the audio off or down a little because this is the kind of game I'd like to play on silent while listening to something in the background haha! Other than that, amazing! :)
