The gameplay is super fun the sound design is great and the ending is a nice touch thinking you'll win in some small fashion (or getting away) but only to be destroyed. The art is also super polished and the intro cutscene give off a comic book feel. Overall amazing submission and amazing job. :D (but it does make you wonder what his evil plan was, is the fact his bot looks like him mean he is a clone and the real genius is enjoying life presumed dead!!!!)

the art is so polished, and you've included so much polish (the cutscenes as well?) in just 48 hours, its incredible!
I love when I see the Godot loader! Godot all the wayyy!
First of all let me thank you for such a simple and quick tutorial, I hate tutorials with tons of text to read, you quickly showed controls at the menu, and the just let it roll, perfect. I tried to do the same with my own game, no text at all.
The gameplay is super smooth and really fun, challenging and engaging, the story and art style is super funny and adds a lot. This game is gold!
Fun game! Great how it is possible to jump over him or sneak below him when he is jumping to dodge him as well.
Felt like I couldn't die before the end, which is a bummer in my opinion.
Had fun anyway, great work!
The idea is really fun, I wished for some kind of life system that makes you want to better run from the hero. Other than that the execution here is amazing. Thank you for creating this game!
I loved the art so much! Also loved how goofy the hero looked lmao.
How did you possibly have time to make this? The incredible opening cutscene, the sheer number of objects and intractables, the appeal of the animation... bravo.
I'm laughing non-stop while playing this game. HAHAH. And the number of things you can do to delay the hero is so many that you won't realize that you're about to finish the game without being bored. The art is spot on too. Looking forward to the team's next project! Great job.
The opening performance was absolutely fantastic! It was both entertaining and hilarious. The game concept is brilliant, and the various mechanisms are designed so well. If there was a real-life hero like this, I would definitely run away, he is an absolute beast!
Hahahahaha! I love the cutscene and animations played during the gameplay! The 90's cartoon vibe fits really well.
One thing I really wished for is a little buffer at the edge of the play screen. Basically, 90% of the gameplay happened on the right half of the screen. I get to the edge of the screen and there's no way I can see what's ahead and it doesn't let me plan out what to do next. I constantly felt cornered.
Still, it is a nice and short game. I feel like I just watched a cartoon show. haha
Hey! Thank you for your comment!
The gameplay was designed that way because we wanted the player to feel that the hero is always aproaching and cornering so they, so they would use whatever prop appear on screen to try and stop him! But maybe you are right and we have to revise the gameplay a little :D
And thank you for the Cartoon comment, that was really what our artist was going for!!!
Fun theming on the infinite running genre (although I know it's not really infinite)! The cutscenes are SO well done, and I had fun chucking items at the "hero"! I would have enjoyed maybe having a loose condition, and I think the relief from seeing the SPOILER at the end while having a loose condition would make the ending cutscene even funnier than it already is. I really enjoyed seeing all the different animations of the hero getting squished and fired up. Great job!
I love the idea, you tell the story pretty well, it looks and sounds really good, and the intro is so nice!
As said by others, I think it has potential to be expanded into a bigger game, with maybe a bit more player agency with choices and strategy to escape. Good job!
The concept is hilarious and, and the visuals are really good. On the gameplay note, I just wish the controls were a bit different, because I got confused all the way because of how close the WASD, Z and X are (at least, for me, it didn't feel much intuitive as it could be). It would be good also to adjust the screen velocity or the characters velocity so you don't feel like you're always about to get in the conner of the screen, as well have some sort of penalty (like the classic 3 strikes, you're out and you have to retry), unless there are some penalties in place besides the throwing animation and I didn't pay attention (sorry if that's the case). Overall, great concept, and I think it can be expanded into something bigger easily. Good job.
Hey! thanks so much for your feedback :)
We think that the game is best played using the arrows or a joystick for movement, maybe the possibility of using wasd was an oversight from our part because yes, pressing Z and X cand become quite tedious.
The screen moves by its own because we wanted the game to make you feel that you are being chased and cornered by the hero at all times, hence why you have to use the props that appear onscreen to slow him down.
And we wanted to add some sort of penalty and multiple endings depending on how well youve done but we run out of time! hahaha
Again, thank you so much for your comment and feedback! :)
Very good entry, loved the level of polish, the cutscenes and music. That last song reminded me of this song from Mario & Luigi: Superstar saga. I understand that because you can't win there isn't a game over condition, but you could pivot this game into an endless runner type of game and have the distance run as a score and at the end play your cutscene.
This was pretty fun!
Simple idea and premise, and I like how it subverts the expectations by literally just giving us to control villian and nothing else. It's neat how we're basically just delaying the inevitable!
I also really liked this artstyle! So silly! And the game has some good humor value too!
Not a nitpick, not a complaint, but rather a suggestion: Maybe instead of red arrows it could be red crosses on the floor? Or is it too cliche? I don't know, but the game is already really good either way!
