I only had the balance issue during the two first bosses. During normal gameplay there were so many corruption circles that the giant circle strategy was not viable, at least for me, so it forced me to be more careful about where I draw the circles. So it didn't ruin the experience at all for me :) I still really enjoyed it! Besides, it was not an easy strategy to find and it would be unrealistic to expect a jam game to be completely balanced, given our time restriction. It was a very small issue.

So happy to know our game is your favorite of the jam so far! Lots of respect for your team too. You built a highly engaging game :)

At first I struggled to complete the tutorial because I thought that when I held space bar the sun wasn't responding. But once I got the hang of it, I got engaged :) It felt nice to move up and down to avoid all the obstacles while balancing myself to go not to far nor too close. That game loop is well polished!

On my best run I got hit by a building and ended up to the left of the screen lol.

Cool game and cool narrative concept! Congrats!

Tha cat was so difficult to react to lol. That was the one that got me almost every time (the other times I would die to flowers because I was too aware of the cat).

The art and animations in this game are gorgeous! Props to the art team!

Such a creative take on the theme! I was giggling when I was hearing "Chuk Woke Up" for the fifth time lol. Hats off to the voice actor!

The art and music fit very well into each other. It really helps to tie the experience together.

I really thought I could do something different to have a better ending :(

Very cool game. Congratulations!

Very cool and highly polished game! The controls felt just right. The only thing I would say is that when I go too fast it's really easy to not see a spike and hit it. Maybe there's a way to make it more noticeable?

It felt really good to master the level every time I went around it. At the end I felt like a speedrunner lol. It fits really well into the theme.

Congratulations!

This is such a cool game!

The main mechanic is highly polished across all aspects: game feel, art, audio, feedback, everything. That makes it so satisfying to complete a loop and it adds to that "I want more" feeling. Really well executed!

The synthwave aesthetic I think is an accurate decision for a game about drawing lines. It makes for great synergy.

It's a no-brainer for why this idea fits into the theme. Yet, despite being simple, it's so well executed that instead of lessening the experience, it actually adds to it. That's a cool lesson to learn as a jammer.

I only found one balance issue which was that bosses were pretty easy to beat if I drew giant rectangles that fit the entire screen. The only boss that gave me trouble with that was the last one because it spawned little corruption circles. Maybe a similar strategy in a lessened version can be applied to the earlier bosses? Or maybe it can be fixed rule-wise (you can't make loops that are too big).

Other than that, very solid entry for the jam. This is a great game.

Congratulations!

Thank you so much for such a nice comment! :) We are so glad to see that it had such an impact. Comments like yours lift all our spirits up and motivate us to keep going.

Of course I'm omw to play your game! :D

Amazing execution on this game! It felt really nice to control, the art is simple and on point, the gameplay has a high amount of polish and it even has a neat tutorial before you begin. It's challenging and had me wanting to try again to see if i could reach the cheat menu required score.

I got a 14.000 high score :D

Congratulations on making such a cool game!

Loved the art style and animations of this game! Really high level of polish!

Also loved the job application weapon. Need one of those for my life.

This is quite a hard game! But engaging enough that I just didn't wanna quit before clearing all the levels.

Very creative last level! I was not expecting  that twist lol.

Good game! It was really funny to beat my old selves by hitting those suckers against the obstacles in order for them to lose lol.

Great concept!

Después de varios intentos pude salvar a mi familia :')

Amazing art! Making the movements sync with the music made it feel so satisfying.

The idea for the game is really really cool. There's a lot for potential for a great puzzle game there. I struggled to understand the rules at first, and I read that you were going for a no text tutorial, so it's understandable. Game jams are the perfect context to try those things out and correct what went not-so-good afterwards.

Other than that, a very solid entry for the jam! Congratulations!

This game has a neat art style!

This is a very very nice puzzle game and a great take on the theme! It had me scratching my head on almost every level. The extra mechanics are really creative and are very well introduced with a dedicated level. The level design is top tier.

Amazing job. Congratulations!!

Good take on the theme! It was fun trying to master the skill of making an accurate loop with the snake.

I liked the art style and eerie music of this game!

I liked this Wario Ware style game! The art style and narrative were very charming.

I can't read very fast so sometimes I was just losing games because I didn't get to read the instructions on time lol. But after a few tries, I managed to survive the 5 days :)

Congratulations on making your game!

This was fun! I liked the goblin animations :)
I completed 14 papers, ruined 1, and crushed 78 goblins 😎

Esperá un par de semanas... :P

Noooooooooooo!!!

Muchas gracias (con respeto)

Heeeeeyy muchas gracias!!

Algún día le vamos a hacer un update a este juego  así que podemos considerar la posibilidad :)

The art and animation for this game is astounding! Once I got the gist of the gameplay, I really got into a relaxed mood and enjoyed watching my little guys doing the work.

It's feels like a very complete experience and it's incredible to think that this was made in just 3 days! Amazing work!

What an incredible take on the theme!

The first time I moved my house I was shocked. The puzzles are also really well thought. It felt so good to have my "aha!" moments.

The art is really gorgeous too! And it really helps to successfully deliver the feeling and atmosphere of this experience.

This is an amazing game for the jam. Contratulations to all the members of the team!

Interesting concept! I liked the explanation part in the game page. It was a creative way of simulating the scaling part!

This game is so good!!

The idea for the concept is excellent and fits the theme so well! It constantly reminded me of this old Cartoon Network musical short about Ed, Edd n Eddy getting shrinked, it's called "Incredible Shrinking Day".

The feeling of being incredibly tiny and having to traverse your own room is very well delivered.

The art is simply gorgeous and top level. Props for that!

However it does feel like the gameplay and programming parts needed a bit more time and polish. It's incredible that you managed to make 5 entire levels for the jam! But maybe I would have enjoyed more one single very polished level.

It's a concept that can absolutely be expanded into a full fledged game. I enjoyed this game a lot.

Ah, yes, and the detail of the alien eyes following the mouse was a nice cherry on top that made me giggle after completing the game.

Congratulations to all the members of the team!

When the stats start really scaling, it gets very fun and makes you feel really powerful. That feeling is very well done and polished!

Cool game!

I love the theme interpretation for this game! The measuring mechanic is so well thought with the twist that they are also platforms. This is such a cleverly thought puzzle game! And also a hard one too. The last level had steam running out of my head lol.

Awesome entry!

Awesome puzzle game! It fits the theme so nicely and got me thinking a lot. Really clever level design.

My brain was blown away when the slow motion mechanic was introduced. Such a cool twist to the game! Definitely my favourite part.

Congrats to all the members of the team that made this!

This game has beautiful art! I really like the thoughful use of colors for this one.

After a few tries, I got pretty far in the level and was enjoying myself. Then I lost and had to do the whole thing again lol. Checkpoints would have been greatly appreciated.

Fun game overall!

After the third try I entered focus mode and learned how to hit almost every fly. I really felt like Mr. Miyagi.

The dark side frog never stood a chance against me.

Really cool idea and mechanic! It's really impressive to make a game in raw JS!

Really trippy game and I liked it!! The art style is gorgeous, and I like the shrinking mechanic to switch between offense and defense.  Very well thought bullet hell with a simple yet very powerful core loop. Amazing!

I got a score of 126.900 :)

(1 edit)

Pretty nice multi-tasking mechanic! Figuring out which arrow I had to press while dodging the fishes was quite the challenge! I enjoyed the game :)

I got a 59.10 😎

Great submission! The level suddenly expanding after a certain amount of hits is a surprising moment that adds a lot of life to the game. At first I thought that I had to defeat enemies to advance, but once I understood that I had to hit the skull, I had a smooth experience.

Props to all the devs that made this!

Hola! La dificultad del segundo rival puede que haya que ajustarla jaja. Los personajes nos dejaron muy contentos. Muchas gracias por tu comentario!

Hola DualGen! Muchas gracias! :D Quedamos muy contentos con el final jaja

This game is really polished! At first I struggled to understand how it plays but when I understood it was pretty fun! Very action packed and arcade style. Great game!

I loved the humorous vibe accompanied by the simple art style and the slightly unsettling music. The puzzles were really creative and they got me thinking for a while. Had a blast playing this one. Amazing work!
