Great take on the theme with the roles reversing of trying to eat the plant at the end! I loved the visuals and sounds (although the first music gets repetitive). All of the art is beautiful and the gameplay is entertaining, although slow.

Developer(+1)

I added all the music an hour before I uploaded the game on here. I didn’t really listen to the music, so I didn’t notice that the daytime song was so repetitive until later. The low framerate ( and slow game) is a problem in scratch I think.

Thank you for your feedback!

The audio was great and the art was super good the menu and the endscreens look awesome and the role reversal is interesting going from avoid x to stealth game. Overall great job. :D

Developer

Thank you for your feedback :D

Amazing graphics and gameplay. I enjoyed it. And you made this in scratch?? Wow, well done.

Developer(+1)

Yep, I think everything took 16 hours, but I couldn’t have put more time in, because I was busy that weekend. Thank you for playing :)

Nice game! I enjoyed it. The creativity for this game was amazing. I would have never thought of this epic game! How did you get inspired for this game? I liked the game! The jump was too high but I enjoyed jumping super high! The snail could've been more explained that it was a stealth portion of the game, but all in all great! GG! If you have time could you rate my game?

Developer

I don’t know how I exactly came up with my game, but I think that I first wanted to make a game where you play is a tree that needs to collect nutrients, but I thought that it would take to long to make, so I thought about a moving plant that collects water and thats how I came up with the idea I think.

Thank you for playing and for your nice feedback!

a cool idea! i would lower the jump force just abit! great game nonetheless!

Developer

Yep jump highed will be ajusted after the jam. Thanks for playing :D

Submitted(+1)

unique visuals and nice overall concept!

Love the seed characters design.

I would be happy if you checked out my game.

Cheers!

Developer

Thank you for playing! I’ll check your game out.

Very cool concept, the frame rate was a bit low but it was fun. Also did you make the game in Scratch?

Developer

Yes I indeed made the game in scratch. I didn’t have much time to work on the game on the second day of the jam, so I decided to make the game in scratch. The low framerate is a scratchproblem and I have no idea how to fix that.

Really charming visuals!

Developer

Thank you!

Very clever take on the theme, essentially making 2 games in one, which is very impressive for a game jam! Along with cute art and the bouncy music you can make the seed do some lil dance moves along to made for a great time, nice job! :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing and your nice feedback :D

Interesting concept and lovely artstyle!

Wow, that seed sure never skipped a leg day in their (very short) life! Very cute little game, though I did feel a little bad for my cute little plant buddy.

The first scene felt pretty good to control. It took me some getting used to the slowness of the snail, but I eventually accepted it as part of the vibe that is required for that scene. And when day drew closer, I was definitely very engaged, as slow as they were.

The artwork has a very wonky MS-Paint style, but I’m actually pretty into it. Especially impressed by the animations!

All in all this might be a silly game, but also a pretty solid one. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Haha that seed has been doing some squats. Btw you can win in two ways: The snail can win if you eat the plant and the plant can win if the snail gets eaten or doesn't make it in time. All the art was made in MS Paint, so you were right about that. Same goes for the animations, although the animation are really only 3 images :)

Thank you for playing and giving some strong feedback!

Oh, one thing I forgot to mention is that it would be nice to have a way to restart the game without reloading the page. At least I think that’s not possible yet?

Developer(+1)

You're right. There is no restart button. I intended on adding one, but didn't have the time to make it :(

Submitted(+2)

Had a hard time dealing with the slow framerate of the movement, but after getting the hang of it, it's much better. I think for how unforgiving the game is, it is really a bummer that a refresh is required to replay the level. I think a health system or a faster restart that skips the intro animation (which is very nice, but not something I want to watch every time) would be a good fix for this issue.

Overall, nice art and clever concept. Good job!

Developer(+2)

About the framerate, I made the game in scratch (I know, not that impressive of a game), but it seems that if you have multiple scripts of moving objects on screen, that the frames start dropping. And I really wanted to add a restart button, but I didn't have the time for it. Same for the skipping of the intro animation.

Appreciate it that you gave some good feedback :D

Cute game, interesting idea on the role reversal! It was really challenging to control the plant but great job :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing!

Submitted(+2)

It's a really cute game and I really enjoyed the mechanics, however I will say that you should try to use different saturations of colors to separate the main gameplay scene from the background, it gets confusing sometimes.
But don't forget to congratulate yourself on doing a game all by yourself in 48 hours, that's an unbelievable feat!!

Developer(+2)

Yeah I was struggeling a little with the saturation, but thanks for the feedback!

Submitted(+2)

i enjoyed the game. it just needs a restart btn and it's good to go.

Developer(+1)

Yep restart button is really needed, but will be added after the game jam. Thank you for playing!

Submitted(+2)

Fun idea but I'm not sure how well it fits the theme and the two parts don't feel connected. The game is simple and entertaining tho, all in all charming

Developer(+1)

You’re right about the two parts not feeling really connected, but the game fits the theme, because you start off as a seed trying to survive to become a flower, but when it turns night you want to eat the flower, what makes you go from surviving as seed to trying to eat the seed.

Submitted(+2)

It's simple and entertaining! Love the art - great concept!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! Btw art was done in MS Paint hahahah

Submitted(+2)

Really cute art and style. The game was a little rough and needed more ways to warn the player what was happening and what the goal was.

Developer(+2)

Yep I was going to add something for the night level to show you what to do, but I will add it after the jam. Thank you for your feedback!

Submitted(+2)

Cute game! Loved the artstyle and the soundtrack of the night level felt deep. Gameplay in the first phase was fun and the right level of difficulty for me.

I don't know if there was a button to restart but if not it would be nice to add one. Having to refresh the page everytime was inconvenient. But other than that, great experience!

Developer(+1)

I really wanted to add a restart button, but just didn’t have the time to do it. Definitely going to add one after the jam! But thank you for playing :)

Submitted(+2)

I like the shift from day to night and how it changes the way the game is played. It is cute and I had fun. My only feedback is the game would have benefitted from a restart button. Overall, well done and congratulations on finishing the jam!

Developer(+2)

Thank you! Yeah, a restart button would have been great, but I just didn’t have the time to make it. But thanks again!
