Cool game! The cards are nicely made and it feels like a very well thought-through system. I feel like I would be able to make more interesting decisions if I had more visibility into what the climbers are going to do next—I'm just getting caught by surprise when a climber suddenly goes up 3 tiles at once.

The background music is a good jam. :)

Took me a while to understand but after that I had a blast, really great variety of cards and situations

ALL CLIMBERS SHALT SUCCUMB TO THE MONTAIN >:D

Great original idea! Those poor climbers will face the wrath of my Landslides!

Interesting strategy game! The art was gorgeous (I mean look at those cards!) and the gameplay was engaging. The feedback on actions was a little muddled though. I enjoyed the strategy aspect of the game a lot and laying down traps to get the climbers a few turns later was very enjoyable! Great game.

> Card called Glacier.
> Uses Blizzard artwork.
> Litterally unplayable.

Man, as a StS lover, I immediately liked this game! You can really feel the inspiration.

There's a lot of different cards and effects, so the game has some depth and replayability.

Only 2 complaints: there's a bit of vital information missing, like the climbers' health, and the theme might be a bit of a stretch.

Apart from that, really great job to the team! =D

Woow I'm impressed with how much you were able to get done in 48 hours! Y'all killed it!

Well executed, i really like that type of gameplay, with quite an original idea
Damn those pesky climbers ! Nice game !

I'm sure you just didn't have time to add display of all the parameters of climbers and other stuff, so I'm not gonna talk about that.
Even without this it was pretty balanced and fun to play. I really liked pushing them behind my traps or in groups to hit them both with one spell. I hope you finish it after rating week, and I'll sure would like to play again (ping me)

I think maybe min / max Stamina is hard to manage and player would have more strategic control with stable 2 or 3 stamina + effects. Maybe it would also be fun to choose direction where you want to push them with spells, but you can program for climbers a tendency to spread out (prefer empty cell or 50/50 if both direction occupied)

It's much better! But also kinda buggy.
* Seems like sometimes avalanche didn't work.
* At some point my turn just didn't start, so it's where I left the game
* I was able to get climbers stuck between roots and avalanche until they gather like -140 stamina, but it was kind of a fun bug. It's good that it didn't break the end of turn, but something else did

Developer

Huh. Well, I can't speak to how that happened, but I can very much confirm that something is very broken there. I didn't do the testing, and I've not been very involved in how the cards actually work, but I pinged our second programmer who did do the testing and hopefully knows more about this. But I was able to find a lot of issues basically immediately, and I'd think he would've spotted those yesterday, too. So maybe there's something funny going on with the web built? Unsure. Thanks for checking it out again, though!

Not my kind of game but I still had fun!

Reminds me of the board game K2. Not much a fan of card games, but this one held my interest for much longer than I thought. It's pretty size-y too. This one is more of a gameplay over presentation type thing and lack of animations didn't bother me.

The only issues I have with the game is that due to movement rules of the climbers, the bottom parts of the map are almost never used and for some reason cards with effects like "move back 2 tiles" can sometimes mean "send them lower once, then bring them back", which was very frustrating every time it happened. It made me avoid otherwise good cards like Howling Wind.

I enjoyed playing it still!

Developer(+1)

Yea, pretty sure Howling Wind is just flat out, 100% bugged. It's tough to make content heavy games in a short time, never mind 48 hours. I'm honestly surprised we don't have a lot more bugs :P

It's very unfortunate though, the game could've been an order of magnitude better with just another hour or two, but such is the nature of a game jam, I suppose. Thanks for playing it anyway, though :)

This is real fun, not my kind of game at all and I really enjoyed my time with it.

For feedback - It's real hard not knowing how many hitpoints/ stamina points climbers have, not knowing how many tiles they can move etc. I think if you exposed more about what the climbers could do next turn it would let players think more strategically.

Presentation is top notch, just that little pinch of narrative text really goes a long way.

Developer(+2)

I'm pretty sure I speak for every member of the team when I say: We know! We wanted to! A lot of corners had to be cut, and we decided that a game that you can actually play beats one with a good UI which you can't :P

Submitted(+2)

Oh my god thank you for reading your intro text, front-loaded reading is a pet peeve of mine

Very ni!ce reverse on slay the spire kinda gameplay, good job!

Submitted(+3)

First of all, brilliant concept - I did not expect it to be a card game but the card design is excellent.

I had a hard time understanding the endurance and health values for the climbers without any indicators of what their stats were at any given turn. Additionally, it would be great to have a visual reminder of when there are multiple climbers occupying the same tile.

Overall, really nice job!

Developer(+1)

That would all be very nice indeed, we very much agree ;/

Unfortunately, the deadline didn't wait for us to do that :<

Submitted(+4)

A very nice game! I like the concept a lot. Unfortunately I did run into a bug where when you send climbers down the mountain, they go up the mountain instead after only dropping down by one space. That makes the game more difficult than it needed to be. But that aside, it’s a pretty clever idea, and well executed! I hope you polish this up a little more later on, and add some progression mechanics.

Nice idea for the theme well done :)

Really nice game, solid implementation. Loved the voice-acting at the start.

Submitted(+3)

Solid gameplay for just about 2 days ! Had a great time testing it out, good job :)

Developer

Thank you so much! :)

Rather fun idea and was nice to play
A little confused at the start but quickly picked it up and figured it out though
