The game reminded Legend of Keepers with significant differences. Pleasantly surprised.

How does your game fit the theme?
In all RPGs we play as warriors, magicians, etc. to fight evil monsters. In this game we play as these monsters, trying our best to defeat the warrior.

So I'm really surprised, I absolutely loved everything about this game. It's the best I've tested and loved in every way.
Great game, fits the theme. Plus it's actually fun and got me thinking more than once! I'll get back to beat 15!
Excellent job team!
This is phenomenal! What a fun little game, it took me 4 runs (up to ~13) before I finally beat it. Appeared to be seeded combat that required strategic shuffling and unit purchasing. Zombies ftw :).
Super fun game and good take on the theme! I really liked the screen transition (i'll have to look and see how you did that), and the cute music was a silly as I killed the hero over and over. It was a little frustrating how it seemed like you could get into an unwinnable situation then have to start all over.
tic80 users unite!!
Super charming and strategic. The way I was trying to look for synergies between units reminded me of Slay the Spire.
really damn fun game, i liked the graphics and the music was on point too! really very polished, was pretty difficult but not unfair had alot of charm to it as well, i loveit, i hope to see some post jam stuff!
Interesting mechanics, with roles revers! Well done, and nice implementation! I really appreciate the variety of the monsters you can choose from! Really nice job for a 48h project!
I was immediately hooked! The choice to save up meat to increase slots or to use them for new monsters is such a good touch. Level of strategy in this game is just right. Fantastic job!
Wow, this is by far the longest I have played a game in the jam! Was a lot of fun, glad I was able to finally beat it! Very well balanced in my opinion!
Minor nit-pick - I got frustrated at the game at first because I thought it was cheating me out of wins when the health bar looked like it was 0, there's a picture below (and only realised later that the health is also in the top corner). I think if this was clearer it would be helpful!
But overall, one of the best games I have played, super polished, beautiful art and sound and really fun gameplay! Great work!
Exceptional presentation paired with a solid and challenging game with some meaningfully different monsters. Very well done!
This is a fantastic little game. Very challenging too. I couldn’t beat the last few days. Maybe there’s something I’m not really understanding about how the warrior selects its moves, but I was constantly just a few health off from winning the fight, no matter how I shuffled by party of monsters around. Perhaps that’s one thing that could have been communicated a bit better. But if a nitpick like that is the only thing I have to complain about, it means everything else is stellar.
Thanks for feedback!
To put it simply, the warrior plays semi-optimally. That is, he will use the first sequence of moves that doesn't result in him dying that he can find, if such sequence exists. It's a good call, however, that this should've been communicated in any way.
I'm glad that you enjoyed the game, though!
I loved the presentation! The music and art style felt very fitting, and the audio for the hits is really well done. The gameplay is fun too! :D
Possibly one of the most fun games I've played in the jam so far, I think the balancing was really well done and the strategy could at times really make you consider what order to put your monsters in. Great entry, well done!
Thank you for feedback!
That is a pretty small detail that you pointed out... But more often than not it's these details that can really make experience better/worse. And this one detail definitely brings the game a tiny bit down, I must say... Something I should probably think more about in the future, huh.
Anyway, I'm happy that you liked the game!
Thank you!
That is somewhat part of the experience: You learn about monsters, as well as knight's moves as you play. Even if you end up in an unwinnable state, you still can learn something valueable from that experience: maybe you learn that some monsters can perform better against certain moves, while other moves can heavily counter them. In short, you're not doing anything wrong, it's just literally part of game's design.
There were some things I could probably do to balance the game out a bit more, so softlocking doesn't occur as often... But this is game jam we're talking about, there's only so much I could do...
I hope you understand, and I'm glad that you still liked the game!
