Very satisfying game-feel! One thing I didn’t mention that might be a nice addition would be a targeting reticle so you can see how your shot is lining up; obviously you’ll hit an enemy if you click on them, but it would help to see if your shot will connect if your cursor is past them (or between you and them)

Cool little game! Would love to see it expanded upon.
The shooting and killing enemies feels good, however, I feel like the feedback from shooting (camera shake and white flash) are a little bit too strong for when you miss. Right now, if you miss or hit, it feels the exact same, diminishing the satisfaction of the screenshake and white flash when you do hit an enemy. I think simply lowering the strength of the screenshake and whiteflash when you miss would drastically improve the feel of shooting, as everything else feels spot on. Perhpas a different sound effect for when you miss vs when you hit as well?

I love the artwork across the whole, albeit I reckon the in game levels are completed, but that's to be expected in a jam.

I think with some more time and polish this could be a fantastic shooter, especially with the mechanic of rolling into the enemy to pick up their weapon and to reset health (quite easy to die in that state tho). I loved that to die, you needed to lose your gun AND get hit 3 separate times, this felt really good to play with, and made me be careful to not rush into full rooms of enemies.

Overall, well done!

Thanks for taking the time play our game and leave a comment.

I think we wanted ricochet sounds but just didn't have enough time once we finally thought about it. We might even have the sounds ready, just not implemented.

Comments like these are great because we see what worked and what didn't. We really appreciate that.

Very satisfying game, seems really polished, and very enjoyable!

Really tense and engaging gameplay! I found it quite difficult but really satisfying when you land a melee hit. Love the level of polish and the little models are all brilliant.

Doom Eternal has this fun idea that melee-ing enemies showers you with rewards; the playstyle change between firing and melee-ing reminds of that a bit.  Melee is tough when those enemies still shoot at you; you get a short window to melee between shots as long as there are too many of them, but I like the tenseness of suddenly being a shot or two away from death in a tough spot.  I enjoyed it!!

Well made game! I found it hard to see the walls on some levels but aside from that, had a blast!

The game is well made, loved the visuals and the sound effects!!

Wow. While the game is brutal in its difficulty level, the polish is everywhere. The feedback for the actions really lures me back to playing more and more. Great job!

I like that you included multiple different maps, but I did have to leave the first one I picked because it was punishingly difficult, although I did have fun trying to kill them and then failing and trying to lure them in to me and pick them off, but my aim isnt good enough for it. It's a fun game and the idea of dropping your gun when you get hit is a great one

Game feels great! It's a bit too difficult I'd say as I basically ended up just firing off shots off screen but I ended up beating all the levels.  I love the level select screen and visuals overall except for the white flashes LOL

great art and music, and gameplay was pretty satisfying too but seems too hard, not sure if its just me

Usually I am not a big fan of rogue like games but this one got. I managed to clear two stages but seems like there is no end because you can play finished levels again. Anyway, technically well done, cool grafics, nice effects, some juice in it so overall a pleasing experience to play.

Great job on the satisfying shooting mechanics! The art style is impressive, and the gameplay feels juicy and responsive. The strong recoil adds a cool dynamic to the experience, but the camera recoil pulling away while aiming was a bit distracting for me. Overall a nice experience!

Nice work, feels very satisfying to shoot the enemies!

Nice gameplay, the game was really smooth and the rules were really easy to understand. Well done

not to mention the recoil problem, the game is quite nice, the visuals are beautiful and the game feels very juicy, the controls solid, perfect feedback, very polished indeed for such a short jam! so well done truly, to craft simple intuitive gameplay  is truly a feat, excellent work!

some would call it a recoil problem, I like to think of it as a recoil solution :)

The game was very fun!! I really liked the idea of loosing your gun when getting shot. Well done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks the idea kind of came from an "inverse pac-man" concept which was like what if he always had the power pellet but then lost it when he got hit
