Interesting concept and the art/music came out great! The immediate swapping on kill and stopping to attack took some time to get use to, but once you get used to it the game loop is pretty cool. Nice work.
Neat concept! I had a hard time finding enemies sometimes, but the game had a nice gameplay loop
Good fun game, amazing art! Only downside was how hard it was to find enemies sometimes, other than that it's a very nice game :)!
Had some difficulty finding enemies sometimes, but very enjoyable game! Really love the art style and music. I'm really glad that someone went with the "turn into what you kill" idea, it was on my list of considered ideas but I didn't end up going with it. Turned out very cool!
Oh swapping roles on death, is nice. I've seen this in a different game for a specific unit before, bot not as fully fledged game concept. Great idea with lots of potential.
Interesting concept - combining "swap with enemy" with a rock-paper-scissors mechanic. Lovely graphics and music. The gameplay is nice, and can definitely be improved upon after the jam
Cool concept , but movement needs some changes .. Good job !
I wasn't entirely sure if I was supposed to be trying to die or what but nicely presented, plays well and fits the theme. Our team had a similar idea to this on Friday but they went with my dumb idea about a dog.
I truly enjoy your game for its stunning visual art and innovative mechanics. It's not only visually appealing, but the creativity implemented within the gameplay is truly unique. It offers an experience that is both immersive and distinctive. Keep up the brilliant work
Thank you so much for your kind and positive comment! I genuinely appreciate your thoughtful words and the time you took to share your feedback. It truly brightened my day!
In a world of automated responses and chatbots, it's essential to emphasize that this reply comes from a real human being, just like you.
Really cool concept. I love the idea of swapping between the different enemies after defeating them. I think the game works really well for the most part. I do agree with others that it can feel weird searching for enemies towards the end of the waves, they always turned out to be wizards as well. (this makes me wonder if its a speed of movement thing?) I did a few run throughs but i had to reset the game each time because, when i clicked retry in game things would freeze completely (not a big deal especially given the quality of the game). As for presentation. The game looks super good, I love the art style. The music was also very enjoyable. I do wish there were some more sounds for the attacks but honestly its a 48 hour jam and the fact that the core mechanic works as well as it does and everything remains clear while shifting between characters is very impressive. Great work, and congratulations on completing the jam.
Interesting interpretation of the theme, with superb visuals and atmosphere.
Great presentation and concept! My only 'complaint' is that the enemies in the waves felt disjointed there with a lot of time for me searching for the enemies ( I died pretty early, so this may have changed later on in the game). Overall though, great job!
Very cute graphics and a well working idea. Hand a lot of fun playing this.
The balance of the upgrades and the difference between hitting targets you are strong against or others could maybe be a bit refined a bit further in order to give more long term motivation, but all in all it already works pretty well and feels super polished for a jam game =)
Fun game! Really interesting interpretation of the theme, I enjoyed the game and the art style is great. Only things I'd say are maybe to reduce the map size or change the starting speed, it can feel quite sluggish early on, or perhaps have the player get a level up instantly so they know movement speed upgrades are a thing fast, I accidentally chose an upgrade sometimes because I was attacking so a delay before picking would be good, it would also be nice to have an indicator of where the enemies are, sometimes I was roaming around for a long time without doing anything. Overall a really great experience just wanted to highlight those bits.
