Very well designed game. The controls felt very smooth and intuitive, I hit what I intended to hit, and I think the game was a fair challenge. Music also matched the vibe, although even at full volume I had to turn my speakers up. I think some of the enemies were a little easier than others (ie the spread enemies) as long as you dashed into their fire at the right time, you could get all of their shots in one dash. Aside from that I felt the game was balanced, with level 10+ being a good challenge.

How does your game fit the theme?
Bullet Happy is a Bullet Hell, and normally you would be trying to avoid all the bullets and enemies in one. However, in Bullet Happy, your goal is to run into as many bullets and ram as many enemies as you possibly can! Don't let bullets fly off into the void!

woh super fun game, i really love your game idea, and the controls are just amazing!!
I loved it, great idea and great execution! The feeling of satifying chaos given by the music, sfx and theme of the game fit perfectly. Good job!
Interesting twist on the genre, I like that you really have to focus on catching all the bullets. Simple and yet effective controls.
Due to how the wave works, I was always catching all the bullets, then going round to finish off the monsters. Perhaps it would be cool if the monsters fired at different times, and then you would have to manage killing monsters at the same time as catching bullets, rather than killing them at the end. I also felt that the hitbox could have been a bit bigger too.
Great work though, I had fun!
Woah. Really polished, really snappy, really fun experience! The dash felt oh-so-good, I felt like I didn't even need the arrow keys!! I wasn't good enough to get past the difficulty spike in level 11 with the six ppl, can't imagine level 15, let alone hard mode haha. The art was really good (although I'm not sure what the little muck monsters were supposed to be, the musty vibe was very coherent) and I had a lot of fun playing it! A tight and polished experience.
Super stylish game, and a very polished take on an interesting concept. I do wish that you had more than three hit points (un-hit points?) for the entire run, as I wanted to see later levels but wasn’t skilled enough XD
I felt like the player’s hitbox was a bit smaller than expected, so there were times it felt like I went through a bullet without it hitting me, but I suppose it wouldn’t be a bullet hell if it was easy :)
I also liked the suggestion someone had below of having an explanation for why you have to run into all the bullets and can’t let them fly off into the void, but the moment-to-moment gameplay is solid enough that I didn’t care too much while playing.
The gameplay is really juicy and fluid. The art style is also great. Really nice game overall!
The gameplay is really fun and that combined with the music and visuals make for a unique experience!
I love this! The movement feels really good and the game feels super polished. Unbelievable that you were able to make this from scratch in 48 hours. Really great job!
Really fun and polished, and feels super good to play! The only suggestion I can think of is that you might need a better story of why the character has to block all of the bullets. Maybe there's a crowd of civilians around the arena? But in the context of a game jam, I think this is already perfect!
>We don't know if it's even possible to beat the game on normal
>Let's put a hard mode in
Difficulty spikes all over the place, any levels with one enemy is just click on them till they die so level 9 is way easier than the levels around it.
Would really loved to have a level selection, wouldn't mind getting to retry 15 over and over again if I DON'T HAVE TO REPLAY THE ENTIRE GAME EVERY RUN.
Other than that, excellent presentation all around, all the art and effects are incredibly well done. And I genuinely had a lot of fun playing it but would probably had more if it had some CHECKPOINTS
That was a lot of fun. It's also super well polished for a 48 hour game. I'm amazed. Best I could achive was level 12 on normal mode.
Fantastic submission. Great presentation, smooth and satisfying gameplay. Starts off a bit too easy. Great job!
Freaking love it! This game is awesome fun and presented so well (art and music!) Love the pace, love the feedback on hitting bullets and enemies, love the game. Sweet submission.
